My wife and I had neighbors congratulate me for the Trump/Vance and McCormick signs in our front yard leading up to the election, admitting that they didn't put any up due to what I took as a little fear? We didn't move into our new neighborhood to make friends.

Former cop Derek Chauvin has been granted a chance to take a look at George Floyd's heart to explore an alternate theory of why the man died in police custody. The federal judge's move on Monday will allow Chauvin's lawyers to determine if the former cop's knee on his upper back killed him; or if the fentanyl and other drugs he was on exacerbated an already weakened heart and created a condition that ended in his death.

Collectively, we judged Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by the content of his character and wished we could be more like him. Being a racist was just about the worst thing you could be! All that mattered was how hard you worked, how big you dreamed, and how much you prayed. ‘But something strange happened during the Obama years: Instead of taking Americans to a post-race future, he deliberately reopened the scars of our forefathers, providing intellectual cover to the race-based bigotry of the radical Left. And once the floodgates opened, people saw EVERYTHING through a racial prism’. And that’s how history will judge him. He will be remembered, if at all, for 2 truisms: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”. “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.”

My momma told me there are some things you're better off not knowing. See what I mean?Dr. King was, in his own time, a highly contentious figure whose accomplishments by no means guaranteed him a spot in the national pantheon. Most of the country (nearly 75%) disapproved of him at the time of his assassination. And it was only after nearly 20 years of campaigning that President Reagan reluctantly signed the bill that gave us Martin Luther King Jr. Day into law.

He was in political bed with the communist as Kennedy asked him to leave their company and he would not. The "I have a dream" speech was not penned by him. He did some good things for the black race but does he deserve a day named after him and streets and roads in every American city. I don't think so. I like George Washington Carver Day or Booker T Washington Day.

If the State Departments budget was cut to preclude any give-way funds without congressional approval of every disbursement, and we stopped giving away money to the UN who promptly uses it to undermine us, it would go a long way to preventing more wars. Those funds go to corrupt governments who then use the funds to kill our soldiers and reap havoc around the world. It has to stop sometime so now would be a very good idea. The rule should be that no one gets $$$$ unless we get something of equal value.

Anyone remember Nick Sandmann, the high school kid wearing a MAGA hat waiting for a bus with his friends when a Native American got in his grill with a drum. This settlement has taken me back to wondering about another rape accusation. Trump was forced by the insane NY justice system to pay millions to that Carroll creature for calling her a liar. That whole ridiculous fiasco started because she (falsely) called him a rapist. Which is the worst kind of defamation?
