That's why they keep doing re-makes of old classics.
But some of it is just what I call organizational drift: over time, any organization will drift toward being run to suit the benefit and convenience of the staff rather than the clientele. All organizations are at risk for this--businesses, universities, churches (both local and denominations), governments, and more. It can be prevented, if someone in leadership understands the risk; but most don't, so it seldom is prevented.

Disney obviously believed the Dems would stay in power after Biden and the messaging would play right into the tone of America at it's release. (4) The marketing strategy of obsoleting your own front-running products with it's replacement before a competitor does has never been applied successfully in Hollywood as far as I know. Has there ever been a better version of "Gone with the Wind", "Citizen Kane", or "Casablanca"? Who would even TRY to do such a stupid thing? Who would attempt to 'reinvent' a masterpiece? Only the leftist lunatics who are trying to destroy everything that is good and that holds our society together. Only modern Disney would be so stupid.
