02/12/25: Exactly how out-of-touch (and dazed/confused) are the Dems right now?
"Mark Halperin... : 'I’m very reluctant to use sports metaphors but I think it’s the right one. This is Travis Kelce catching the ball on his own 40 and looking around and seeing there’s no one near him. And he’s just barreling downfield.'
Obviously, Halperin didn't watch this year's Super Bowl.
02/12/25: He has dirty laundry in every port. I was surprised and amused to see him make a comeback in 2024, and he did hook up with some interesting guests on his clod-casts, but I 'd love to bet on a FanDuel Prop on how long it will be before he's back in the gutter again.
At any rate, he should have compared the Dems to Mahomes in the Super Bowl having the worst game of his career.
The comparison is false in that the Dems have never even come close to the competence/winning that Mahomes has otherwise achieved/attained, unless you want to fool around with the "corrupt referees" canard and refer in parallel to the rigged 2020 presidential election., which actually did happen.
Becoming the party of old liberal women has worked well for the Democrats. We are a quarter way through a new century and they’re still trying to fight mid 20th century battles.
1920 is when women were granted the right to vote. Now every election we hear " if Republicans win they are gonna take away your right to vote. You'll be back barefoot in the kitchen.
Here's a hint ladies, first we have to repeal incommie tax before we can afford to let you stay home with the kids.

You have it right. The left keeps pretending that the racial strife is still an issue because they wont accept the obvious. Minorities got what they wanted and far more. Now they have to show personal responsibility and make something of their lives. There can be no excuses anymore. But Dems are fighting to continue a war that was won long ago. Insanity.
The Government trusts paper rather than computers for their retirement money because elections have shown that computers are not trustworthy for elections.
That was a tough list to choose from. Any choice would be a correct choice. I chose Chuckles because every time I see his picture I see that picture of him cooking hamburgers on the grill with the cheese on the top of the raw burger.
I just wonder how much of the graft each one of these leaches is getting.
I think it’s wildly optimistic to think the radicals (Dems or others) are on their heels and overwhelmed. The ideologues really believe in their radical stuff and the totalitarians believe in power and have never ever given up. The paid performers in the streets will always show up to destroy and that is something the people with real money will pay for themselves.
They had Plan B for losing the election and without knowing specifics of Trump’s actions are working and will keep working to that plan. They do not intend Trump to succeed.
Consider: there is silence from Congressional GOP on the details of corruption. That means if Congress does its choreographed dance around a CR and once again manages to dramatically pant its way to end of that scene, it will successfully authorize the same nuggets of corruption now being itemized. No one is saying a word about Congressional participation in the cleanup.
Just saw a list of Congress-Critters whose net worth increased exponentially in just the last several years were mostly Republicans. The rot goes deep and is bipartisan.
Rand Paul is one of the very few speaking up. All the other reptiles of both parties are running for cover and wondering what to do when DOGE comes for them.
I think the street radicals aren’t showing because Soros and the proponents will have to actually reach into their own pockets to fund the anarchy because the graft money from us has dried up.
I heard a report on the radio yesterday that they aren’t showing up because they’re burned out from 8 years of their crap and that exhaustion has given way to despair and depression. Head shrinkers are reporting a monumental increase in new patients of the demonicrats persuasion.
Interesting. I doubt they'll get much help from the head shrinkers. The mental health profession is overwhelmingly liberal and Democratic. So it will be the blind leading the blind.
What they really might want to do is reconsider their atheism.
Be aware that the DSMMD (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders--the Bible of the psychiatric profession) has listed religion as a mental disorder for decades.
Many Republicans in Congress are speaking out, mainly seen on X, just not in the mainstream press, who are working overtime to twist and torture into bald faced lies any of the corruption and criminality being exposed, but also doing their darnedest not to report on it at all except in their usual slanted manner.
The Legacy media is in the crosshairs of this Great Expose now in progress, and they know it.
If even one of them can be dismantled as a result of the fraud, it will have enormous reverberating effects upon all the others.
I don’t care which hill Democrats choose to die on.
The only resistance Dems are successfully, if temporarily, slowing the PDJT 47 juggernaut with is through their lawfare and judge shopping. I suspect that certain members of the Judiciary - like Justice Thomas - are carefully observing the shenanigans of the decidedly inferior courts’ decisions to interfere with the Chief Executive’s ability to run the Executive Branch. There is no way The Other Don and his team did not anticipate the “Hawaiian Judge Strategy” and have certainly strategized to nullify it. Wait until that “Constitutional Crisis” gets adjudicated. It’s going to look like the splodey head scene from Kingsman: The Secret Service. And I am here for it. Because I am having too much fun!
I mentioned it yesterday and Kruiser commented on it yesterday. Trump laid a judicial trap and the Dems fell for it like Wylie Coyote. The Trumpster and his team will kill judge shopping....
He knows that he is on legal ground with everything he does. He acts, Democrat Judges stop it, Demo. Congress screams bloody murder, he fights it and then some higher court rules in Trumps favor. Makes them look like fools every time. Fun to watch. Happened today.
Yeah, but in the meantime they manage to delay the process, and once the initial idiot judge is overruled they can play the victim and keep their followers stirred up. To lifelong politicians that is valuable.
That is all they have left. James Carville says he is struggling. Things are happening so fast he doesn't know how to respond. Chuck Schumer says he is furious, so furious. So nice to see those smug, arrogant faces in pain.
Trump's presser with Elon holding his son on his shoulders, as Elon slowly and carefully explained his findings of crazy-bad spending was beautiful. I would only add that these rollouts must provide detail line item by line item so America sees the many decades of corruption. Exposing the inefficiencies such as the limestone mine bottle neck in processing retirements is surprising to anyone who has worked a real job. Hearing about the FEMA payments to NYC hotels is infuriating.
That presser confirmed for viewers they could feel deeply satisfied their vote elected DJT while dissolving the left's strategy of making Trump out to be a fascist insurrectionist.
Perhaps we should consider adding Elon Musk with his son on his shoulder to Mt. Rushmore. Musk hit a grand slam yesterday.
Be nice. They’re entitled to watch the Superbowl just for the commercials. And the brilliant halftime shows. (Since the Grammys, that one qualified as Country (crotch-grabbing) music.)

They are not quitting. They are being cut from the team. Cable news is too cash strapped to carry Andrea Mitchell, Woodchuck Todd, Chris Wallace and the rest
Everything you point out about the D's is true but I don't see them changing. I think they will expand their vitriol and step up the efforts. Remember, they control all the institutions and almost all major cities. Plus, they can rely on feckless and corrupt R's to either work with them or sit back and do nothing. (You notice that Chief Justice Roberts has not lifted a finger to stop lowly district court judges from illegally and unconstitutionally interfering with Trump's exercising his Article 2 powers) We are winning on most all fronts but every judge and prosecutor in the country, federal, state, and local, with a "D" by their name, is a Democrat operative and supporter. These people can use their power, even if it is illegal and un-Constitutional, to thwart Trump's legal and proper use of his office.
But as you point out, the Democrat Party is no longer just the evil party: they are the stupid party, as well. So, we have two stupid parties but only one evil one (there are evil R's just not so many as the D's). So, let's enjoy all the pain the D's are going through but remember the elephant in the room. On 14 March, the feds run out of money. The D's will want to do the usual continuing resolution and most R's will just go along. That means all the hundreds of billions of dollars of waste and fraud DOGE has exposed will be included in next year's budget anyway. We Surber readers, and those like-minded ones elsewhere, have to hold the R's feet to the fire and make certain they don't pass it. Otherwise, another year of graft and destruction will come to pass and I'm not certain the Republic has that much time left to recuperate from it.
In fairness to Roberts, he has no authority to just “step into the fray”, but must wait for some case to be brought before that court. That is when things will land at their feet to sort out. And even then, this courts history under Roberts is far from a guarantee that what it ultimately decides will be all that reassuring.
Yes, you're correct he does need a case to do so. But the D's always find as case to present before their judges to stop anything, and my guess is that their judges coordinate with D's in the field to find one and bring to their courts.
We were very close to an older couple who were lockstep Democrats. We didn't care, but we also didn't like talking about politics with them as they made irrational and unfounded assertions about conservatives, and were all in on every left wing idea from DEI (formerly Affirmative Action) to climate change and censorship of conservative talk radio, so we asked them outright to kindly refrain from talking about politics in our presence. You have to admit, the Dems have the lock on UGLY. That crew that you named remind of the bar scene in the first Star Wars movie. Maxine Water's face alone could stop a clock.
What the Trump administration is doing goes far and above keeping his campaign promises.
The most impenetrable problem all presidents, particularly Republicans, have had once elected has been the entrenched bureaucracy. No matter what policies or projects the new president might seek to advance, the entrenched bureaucracy just continued apace, subverting and instituting their own world views and policies, mostly left of center, regardless who was president.
Trump is tearing down and ripping out that obstinate bureaucratic machine, brick by brick, piece by piece, person by person, and building an entirely new, albeit Constitutionally aligned foundation.
His mission is to restore the original vision and formula for this Constitutional Republic which the Founders had laid down for us 250 years ago, a foundation that benefits all Americans, not just one party.
Was in Government my whole career and upon retiring money flowed very quickly. Never heard any peers complain after retiring. I think this facility is for storing paper copies of records. I thought today's poll was more challenging than usual. I'm pretty sure Jasmine Crockett is the dumbest of the lot but I went with Maxine Waters. It's easy to see that she's the face of the Democrat Party as it is.
I’ll tell you what the Dems should do. They should shut up and get out of the way.
The only problem with that is then we will only be able to think they are stupid. This way they keep reminding us.

They are too stupid, arrogant, and prideful to do that. It is their downfall.
Yep. The more they complain about the method and ignore the results, the less valuable they become.
02/12/25: And valuable to Trump.
Becoming the party of old liberal women has worked well for the Democrats. We are a quarter way through a new century and they’re still trying to fight mid 20th century battles.
“Democrat party is the party of weak men & angry women.”
- Tucker Carlson
They couldn't understand Tucker's comment because they still can't define what a man and a woman is.
You have described the faculty at my university precisely.
Wipe that smile off your face or be labeled MAGA.

Again the democrats were on the wrong side.
The Republicans supported the woman vote, the democrats fought it.
But how did that work out for the Republicans?
About as well as Affirmative Action.

CR just ups last years spending +2%. Covid increase in spend STILL in there.
Like Rand Paul said - just adopt the 2019 (pre-Chyna virus) spending amounts.
RINOs are just like Dems, all there to spend people’s money (and much more) and get their share….
Rand Paul is one of the very few speaking up. All the other reptiles of both parties are running for cover and wondering what to do when DOGE comes for them.
Rand Paul is marvelous!

That's gotta be part of it. I've noticed plenty of preprinted signs at the Democrat small demonstrations. Someone is funding at least the signs.
Many Republicans in Congress are speaking out, mainly seen on X, just not in the mainstream press, who are working overtime to twist and torture into bald faced lies any of the corruption and criminality being exposed, but also doing their darnedest not to report on it at all except in their usual slanted manner.

Agree, & not saying there won’t be a wide path of carnage, but a house of cards is still a house of cards.
Another classic phrase from Sir Don: "Kamalan intelligence"
That truly is genius right there! I intend to use it often!
Hope it goes viral!! 👍👏👏😉

Get the Supremes to push back hard and set a precedent for national rulings from lower court judges.

Love that line. :)
And yes, the presser was awesome. All common sense which no-one except Karens (or Margarets or feminized men) could oppose.
I love that you included a definition of “pick six” for your Democrat readers.
Be nice. They’re entitled to watch the Superbowl just for the commercials. And the brilliant halftime shows. (Since the Grammys, that one qualified as Country (crotch-grabbing) music.)
Kel-C….looked like he had gone to medical school.
His plays were laced with surgical precision.
Offensive line like best in the OR.
Fans just didn’t know Kel-C was a Doctor of Orthopedics.
Right out of the box…..He took a knee.

I’d wager most of us have had similar experiences, which have resulted in a culled circle of friends and relatives.
I don't cull anyone; but have been on the "cull-ee" end of things.
My sister is adamantly against abortion but votes for all the Dems. for it. DUH!. Politics are taboo at gatherings.
Let's face it: it's a cult, and cultists cannot get real.
There is no rehabilitating evil .
Agree. Once someone has drunk the Progressive Dem Kool-Aid, they seldom have the ability to admit that their world view is wrong. Sadly, those folks are irretrievable and cannot see the forest for the trees.

Government inefficiency on display. 700 democrats processing 10,000 applications per month.

I thought today's poll was more challenging than usual. I'm pretty sure Jasmine Crockett is the dumbest of the lot but I went with Maxine Waters. It's easy to see that she's the face of the Democrat Party as it is.
Agree.
Maxine Waters in front of a media camera shames and embarrasses (1) Democrats, (2) women, and (3) African Americans.
It's even better when she gets an assist from Pocahontas Warren.
Looks more like the other end.
Maxine is definitely the most butt ugly of the bunch!
