I’d like to add that the two who are female were college educated in their respective countries and were given green cards when they entered the system. Each made the decision to be stay at home moms until their only child was firmly established in school. My granddaughter by marriage grows a beautiful organic garden on their property (GS is an entrepreneur/agave farmer) and my DIL now proficient with her less accented English is a patient advocate for a children’s hospital. Both girls worked side by side with their partners for the success they have. Husbands had home offices so there was always a parent present. I know that is not the norm. It took sacrifice and planning. Yeah, I’m a pretty proud Granny.

The Census absolutely does count illegals along with everyone else, but does not separate them out as a category and identify them as illegals. TeaPartGal. Unfortunately, one of the big issues (and motivations) is that the census DOES count illegal aliens. These counts are then used to apportion the House of Representatives. This gives illegal immigrant supporting blue states more representation than they should have.
Yes, what I meant was that the Census does not distinguish between legals and illegals. The Census absolutely does count illegals along with everyone else, but does not separate them out as a category and identify them as illegals. So we have no clean count of how many illegals are in the U.S. And definitely, this is why California and other Blue States have gotten more than their fair share of seats in the US House of Representatives.
