See how far you get if you want to enjoin some other person's activities, no matter how facially illegal such activities might be. FRCP, Rule 65, not to mention uiform case law requires that the party seeking preliminary injunctive relief must also demonstrate: (1) irreparable injury in the absence of such an order; (2) that the threatened injury to the moving party outweighs the harm to the opposing party resulting from the order; (3) that the injunction is not adverse to public interest; and (4) that the moving party has a substantial likelihood of success on the merits. If the ceasefire in Ukraine ends up moving us in that direction, we will have lost our direction. Russia must NOT be allowed to expand its borders further into Ukraine and other neighbors. One hopes fervently that our government is prepared and ready to keep our eye on the ball.

And the plot thickens: Oregon Capital Chronicle is part of States Newsroom, by its own description a "nonprofit news network supported by grants and a coalition of donors as a 501c(3) public charity", which has only been around for a year or two. Despite Google's myopia, States Newsroom is an obvious Far Left propaganda hub, which is busily growing tentacles: besides the Oregon Capital Chronicle, up in Washington State it has the Washington State Standard, plus another dozen or so "independent" papers by other names in what it calls "swing states". Reporters at States Newsroom's various state outlets trade articles back and forth, which for a multi-tentacled Neo-Pravda is a surprisingly thrifty business plan.
I suspect that States Newsroom's "Oregon Capital Chronicle" alias was inspired by a paper, now apparently gone, which was called Capitol Press and catered to Oregon farmers.

Yesterday I asked Google "Why does Google lie constantly". The answer was pretty entertaining.

The other day I tried to find a copy of that map that shows all the counties Trump won in the US in red, with just a sprinkling of counties in blue. Google never could find it. I went 17 pages of Search results in. Tried different Search terms. Did find one tiny picture of it as part of a set of maps, but when I clicked on that it was non-functional, couldn't bring it up. And in the first several pages of Search Results, Google had at the bottom "Some responses have been removed."
Last year, I tried to find the web page for one of the Republican candidates for US House in West Virginia on Google. It should have popped up on the first page of Results--US House of Representatives is a big deal; this guy I was searching for was the primary challenger to the incumbent. But it took 7 pages into the Results--SEVEN PAGES--before I could find his website. The previous 6 pages had endless stories from different Left media about how the guy had been present at Jan. 6 and was arrested, although he was almost immediately let go. But there were TONS of stories about it, filling up the first 6 pages of results.
Google has turned their Search function into pure crap. It is not just fake, but GROSSLY fake. Google has one goal, to promote the Left narrative.
