My husband and I left Minnesota for South Dakota over 11 years ago after retirement. We couldn't be any happier with our decision. I grew up in Northwestern Minnesota and lived in the Metro area for over 35 years. The very "progressive" Twin Cities and other larger MN cities will dominate the state, although there are plenty of socialists living in outstate areas, too.

It's no accident that doddering waxen effigy FJB (safe old white guy) was followed by cackling DEI ninny-girl Kamala (historic first!) who was followed by "regular old white guy" Tampon Tim (whoops, back to safe old white guys; gotta be "electable").
None of these people are leaders. Not one of them would be any sort of executive decision-maker. Not one of them gave a fiddler's fuck about anything beyond being the big shot and having an essentially ceremonial role, like an English monarch.
The Dems have no actual leaders. It's now the party of puppets and the unelected politburo.
Puppets of a vast enterprise of billionaires, such as Soros, and a plethora of big money organizations and international donors who call the shots, all with the intent to tear down this country.
Lack of leadership is a feature, not a bug. Sadly, the Trumpster is the only outlier and the politicians hate him for it.
Anytime the Democrats come up with a scheme to distribute money for some perceived good, you can bet there’s a money laundering angle in there somewhere.
So… Huddled masses show up in Minnesota, yearning to breathe free. And their sponsors (Lutheran Charities; looking at you) assist them to set up nonprofit groups to… “help”…. their compatriots, umm… Yes… The Children! And then we get a $billion of fraud. Cuz it’s not like these wretched refuse of a teeming shore are displaced rocket scientists. More like scammers from a low trust culture, looking for ways to rake in the grift.
Don’t forget to include Catholic Charities, World Relief Minnesota and all of their lobbyists.

Seems not coincidental that this scandal mushroomed in the five years after the annus horribilus of 2020 (COVID, “Saint” George Floyd of MInneapolis).
And NGOs are readily created and manipulated.
Hard to believe, but when we moved from California to MN in 1990, the governor, both US Senators, our US House representative, and both our MN State House and Senate reps were Republican. All have flipped blue and are almost certain to remain so, regardless of how this scandal plays out. Local media is simply ignoring the story. The Star Tribune, the local major newspaper is only covering it in the context of the Trump DOJ investigation into funds being funneled to Somalia, but not the larger story of the fraud itself and the failures of Walz and Keith Ellison, who have enabled it. MN voters and taxpayers should be outraged, but will largely dismiss the scandal as being about Trump, MAGA and racial bias. Much as we love it here, absent some justice and real reforms, we will likely leave the state before it completely collapses into third world corruption and chaos and the home we are nearly being taxed out of to fund Somalian terrorists becomes worthless.
The Star Tribune has been utterly shameless in its protection and covering for the MN Democrats all while these frauds were being prosecuted.
The rot in that state has no bottom. It is a tragedy of enormous proportions and there are dozens upon dozens of other Democrat states who are just as filthy and corrupt.

Unfortunately, the kick-them-all-out angle is already weakening. And it's weakening due to otherwise pretty solid MN Republicans like state Rep. @WalterHudson or @GrageDustin who are arguing that some of those many Somalis are not so bad (why, some Somalis say things that sound Republican!). Or that it's not all the fault of those poor Somalis; it's the Democrats that misled and misused them.
Not so much is mentioned about the problems with having a large population of Muslims, regardless of nationality and/or that a whole lot of young Somalis are criminals inclined to form gangs. And, as has been found, Somalis never call the cops on each other, no matter what. They are Somalis first and Americans, maybe, after, if at all.
The Somalis are a textbook example of the difference between an immigrant, who wants to be here, and a refugee who just wants to leave where they came from.

I'm from NH but live in IN. I read that Lewiston is swamped. Many of my kinfolk buried in Kittery and York. I gave up any idea of moving back there after military retirement in 1999
Mills chased those “free” relocation dollars as hard as she could - Portland, Freeport, Lewiston, Augusta. Then she seems to have moved on to court the Chinese running illegal but prolific weed farms. The moneyed liberals on the coast seem content to have the State ignore its home grown citizens.
