Nobody but the Trumpster knows what his negotiating plan is. Commentators and so called experts have been wrong every time. He's keeping his cards close to his vest again and watching things develop both in Iran, at home and abroad. I love reading Bolton's comments. He so out of the loop and it bugs the crap out of him. He could have been a contenda, but now he's a pretenda.
Most people don't seem to understand Trump da' man. He is so cool (except for the juvenile name calling but who's perfect)? He geneally, I would say, has a plan but we are not privy to it and I don't care. He's the one elected to do the job and I feel he will. I would want the IRGC gone, a regime change, uranium etc gone, strait open and the burkas off the women. I am still extremely troubled by the horrific killing of protestors and the hangings, etc., unless it would be as recipients this regime that is left and the IRGC. They deserve what they gave.
Goat herding.... "herding," huh? You're too generous.

The 2016 election convinced me that there must be a God. How else can you explain someone who was given a 90% chance of winning then going down the pipes? Had to be divine intervention. Had to. And I believe that now she hasn't a Chinaman's chance of ever holding office again - any office. Praise be.
I have become a very wary old bastard, but this guy has really won me over. I still remember his first presidency; I COULD NOT BELIEVE that he was actually doing precisely what he had promised to do. Had to be a trick.
But it's no trick. He's doing it again, and this time he has the cabinet officers to back him up instead of a cadre of backstabbers waiting in the shadows. (I'd like to get my hands on some of them ....)

The Iran deal is really an affordability deal if Trump lands it right. Oil falls. Shipping costs drop. Inflation pressure eases. Markets breathe. Voters feel relief before November. That is why the usual suspects are nervous. Pompeo, Bolton, Wicker, Graham, and Cruz see concessions. Trump sees sequencing. Smash capability, test reactions, leak terms, read MAGA, force Iran to choose, and keep the American people with him. Regime change would be nice, but America does not need another forever project. The real goal is simple: no nukes, open Strait, lower gas, stronger America. Trump is playing the deal. The panicans are playing themselves.
I don't like seeing the mullahs remain in power, and I don't believe that Trump is going to do that. He has been focused on eliminating this threat since the 1980s. He is moving many pieces around on the board that his idiotic critics aren't even aware of. I trust in the power and wisdom of Trump.
I hope you're right. I can't believe we and Israel don't have people on the ground taking out IRGC personnel, even if it's not with impressive visuals like the Israeli pagers.
That. said, regime change may be too tough right now with the many factions in Iran “leadership”, who are reportedly isolated from one another and buried in bunkers. The economic pressure that Bessent is placing on them (and London) may avail a resolution, though.
Keep trying to arm the resistance. Provide them with all manner of weaponry including IEDs to give those fanatics a taste. At this point after the IRGC has murdered tens of thousands of protesters there are still some willing to fight.
I'm chomping at the bit for that, too, but if you think about it, that may be why the IRGC, et al, are holding out. They know that if the People get real power, soon they will all be hanging from construction cranes.
We’ve all been hoping for that outcome for Hillary for more than a decade in our country. The Iranians have many more worse than Hillary so the short answer is Hell, no.
Whatever happened with that - haven't heard anything since Trump said that the Kurds kept the weapons. Is there no other way to get the weapons to the Iranian people. I thought we would be able to get that done.
If it were anyone but Trump … I’d be shocked dismayed, at the least. Elsewhere on other issues, he’s often been right, when at first, he seemed errant. So I’m hoping and praying for a repeat. The stakes are incalculably high. Still, I lean to thinking that once he had them on the canvas, he should not have rung the bell, let them get up and go to their corner for electrolytes and succor. Instead, he should have kept pounding until they begged him to accept their unconditional surrender. Or, at the very least, acceded to all of Trump’s demands. The IRGC is every bit as fanatical as Hitler and Tojo or any other mad tyrants from any age. Their paradigms are manifestly unlike anything that most of the remnants of Christian Civilization can compute. One would like to think that Jimmy Carter’s fiasco and all the fiascos since (Hamas, Hizbollah, Iraq War, Afghanistan War, Syria, Boko Haram, etc. et al … would have taught us that what we see and hear … is actually what we see and hear. The IRGC are demonic savages - the normal rules of civilized discourse and warfare are utterly inapplicable. There can be no Peace in the Middle East as long as the IRGC and their kind, have the strength to lift a single rifle.
Saw that we bombing certain Iranian installations concerning the laying of mines and missiles.
I doubt they will get that this isn’t Obama or Biden or any other President they are dealing with. This is Trump and Trump wins these things biggly. They better get on the ball or things will ramp up quickly against them.
Poll answer is the uranium. Has always been Trump’s top priority, as it should be. He’s laying a trap for them. They’ll get to make money during the 60 days MOU from selling oil, but sanctions will NOT be lifted during this time. They have to earn it and we will be watching. One wrong step and it’s back to missiles aimed at Iran. DJT is playing 4D chess again, and I bet the IRGC thinks they’re still dealing with a lame loser like Obama.
Not up to us. That’s neocon talk. The Iranian people have to make regime change their priority and the Gulf states will back them up since Iran fired on all of them. The American interest is preventing terrorists from having a nuclear weapon.
Alice, if you were the average Iranian living in Tehran, how would you rise up and revolt against the IRCG and Mullahs when you have zero weapons? I keep seeing similar comments and always wonder how those folks would do so.
I get that too Reddog. But our stated mission was no nuclear weapons for terrorists and I think Trump is going to hold the line. IF IRGC breaks the deal, Trump will keep bombing them & maybe he also delivers weapons for the populace?
I understand but in last 47 years how many Americans have the Iranians killed with nukes? How many have they killed with knives, firearms and explosives? The nukes are the linchpin, I get it but they won’t stop killing us regardless. Trump is too focused on a deal and not focused enough on dead Americans and a seriously harmed economy.
I don't think any of us have a clue as to what DJT is focused on, he is a singular thinker and doer and I never count him out altho'.....his past has not always been successful. Or Winning...pray it is this time.
You could also say that's what Bush wanted in Iraq. I still remember the woman with the blackened finger showing she had voted for the first time. That didn't work out so well, either. Add a few other disasters caused by meddling in countries' internal affairs, like Libya and Afghanistan, and you see plenty of reasons why Trump doesn't want to go there.
I don’t believe there is one single case of regime change we engineered that didn’t turn out to be worse in the long run with the exception of WW 2. Usually it comes about because our “new, improved” national leader wasn’t accepted by his public and resistance boiled up.
You can’t gift a free country, the populace has to earn it and pay the cost; if they don’t, it won’t be durable.
It can be done without confrontation until the government is too weak to resist overthrow. Active sabotage and passive sabotage. A bigger problem facing regime change is the Basij, who did the murdering of most of the 40,000. Their criminal militia asses are too numerous and embedded for an occupying army to root out; it has to be done by the people.
Regime change is a two-step. First we would have to knock out (read kill) all the IRGC, Basij, and clerics. A tall order but probably doable by ground invasion. Next install a new government, which could be by election or by fiat. If they elect new leadership, what if they’re worse? Then we go back to square one, rinse, repeat? Doesn’t sound like a stellar plan to me.
THAT WOULD BE preferable but who will that be? It seems Shah Jr is not making any headway with that plan so it has to be someone there and no one has any power but military so what's next or who's next in line? I am referring to regime change. The uranium is tricky as in where exactly IS it all? And how do we get it or destroy it...hmmmmm???
100% Correct premise, Don. Like every great general, only the Donald knows his final game plan. On the way to another win, he is using multiple tactics to mislead and confuse the enemy, foreign and domestic. Quick to criticize his every move, his enemies aid and abet his deceptions with their choruses of TDS driven proclamations. Watching media labeled experts warn that Trump is being played by the mullahs, that Trump believes he can trust the regime, and so forth is to watch a crowd of 85 IQ's proclaiming themselves Einsteins. A farce show 24/7. Trump understands sales. He knows that anything labeled regime change is a hard sell in public but that does not mean he won't deliver exactly that. Meanwhile, 95% of what comes out of the administration is fodder for the Einsteins to blather about while he creates regime change behind the curtain. To believe otherwise is to believe alliances between Israel and its Arab neighbors lack significance. The mutual goal, of those alliances, shared by Trump and true Americans, is the end of the Iranian regime. None of those alliance partners will settle for less.
I think you are right. Trump is still playing 4D Chess and everyone else is playing checkers. He is setting up the rest of the pieces/board while keeping the idiots rambling.
I am finding it interesting on what some of the Senators and others are saying. They are falling for some of the traps/bait that Trump is setting out for the usual idiots. MSM says Trump is/was bamboozled by every person the man ever talked to that was from another country. I also expected better of a couple of them too.
I'm not too sure about that, Joe. I think Trump has been intent on regime change for more than four decades. Trump is positioning the board right now. He will use the Israelis and a coalition of Arab states to bring about the internal cleansing of the IIRG with the help the Iranian people. I don't see any way that Trump will willingly allow those monsters to even retain the appearance of control. IMHO.
Right or wrong, the mullahs will use their survival as a recruiting tool. "We outlasted both the Great Satan and the Little Satan resisting and outlasting everything they threw at us, and we have survived as a sign from Allah that we will prevail." They will be emboldened to continue in their sworn purpose of destroying us and removing us from the Earth.
We can only hope that's the end game. Trump may be feeling the pressure - especially with the midterms approaching. In retrospect, I wonder if it might have been better to hold off the attack until after the midterms. But, I have no idea what the intelligence was that necessitated the urgency to attack.
It’s the only answer. Someone please explain to me how you make a verifiable deal with the people referred to by many as pedophiles, goat lovers, and Satans army?
The answers build on themselves like choosing service plans at different price points, in case that's your question. I'm going with the top premium plan, all of the above plus pistachios.
I know, right? But I find that the email notice of these articles includes the complete poll answers. So I read the article on substack (better font) and then consult the email version for the poll answers to avoid ellipses. Could work for you, too.
The large pistachios are really good. The stuff they sell in the supermarkets (usually Wonderful Pistachios) isn't that good. Best brands are Zenobia & Bazzini. Today's poll was one of those "all of the above" - with the exception of Pistachios, so I selected the silly choice since I couldn't select all of the others.
With all this renewed vigor and hawkish approach by the Dems maybe Trump (as usual) is just playing them like a fiddle. If he had to get a congressional consensus to continue the war how can all this new Dem warmongers vote against it?
An expanded Abraham Accords agreement has now got them all scratching their heads. Never saw that coming and it could end up being his highest geopolitical accomplishment. How can the Dems argue about peace in the middle east?? They'll try though.
Regime change would be the best solution but I don't believe we will get that. Eventually Iran and Russia along with several other despotic regimes will launch what many Christians refer to as Ezekiel's war.
Zion stands by foes surrounded. Will they have even one ally among the nations? Most of the EU has already turned their back on Israel and the Creator of the universe.
What of the United States? Trump is their friend, Xiden was not. We are seeing a shift on the left. When they return to power, they will abandon the apple of GOD'S eye.
Even now things here are shaky. We have so many turn coats in Congress that the donks might as well be the majority party.
This upcoming election is critical. Every election is critical because too many politicians are owned by people who want this experiment in freedom to fail.
I don't know how close we are to world war. Trump is playing 3D chess and winning, but the other players might abandon the game, throw a fit and figuratively go home. Game over means things get serious. Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil wanders about seeking whom he may devour and he's consumed nearly everything else in the world.
I just gotta defend the honor of the unjustly maligned pansy. First, they are beautiful. Second, they thrive in cold weather. And third, in the dead of gloomy winter, I can look outside and see purple, maroon, white, and especially yellow hardy pansies surviving nicely whilst I am comfortably warm inside.
On the other hand, temperamental orchids receive special care and respect. No one says people shiver like orchids…..but perhaps we should.
Great article today. So many voices abound. I rely on you to sort through the noise and share your informed insights.
Uranium in US hands, the strait open, AND regime change (the IRGC needs to be eradicated as it will never be reformed). Anything less will be a futile exercise of kick the can like the last 47 years.

Bolton is identical to the AmeriPravda media.
One has only to listen to what he says to conclude the opposite is reality.
Minnie me certainly is a very queer fellow and he employs all of the meanings of that word.
Most people don't seem to understand Trump da' man. He is so cool (except for the juvenile name calling but who's perfect)? That is trash talk Vicki ; very common in Pro Sports . It's purpose is distraction. PDJT is an acknowledged master at it .
One downside to boltons posts/tweets/burps is propaganda value to IRCG and opposers (left or write). But I’m sure DJT doesn’t care or need my advice…

good post. makes a lot of sense. imagine kamala harris as president ladies.
I'm sure all the ladies here can't stand her either.
Yup. Thank you, Jesus - we dodged a bullet there.
a moab.
Tis said when sober she is merely a babbling idiot and not a drunk babbling moron.
I don't like her, but I do admire her jewellry and hairstyle choices. I don't like pantsuits, though.
so you didn't like piaps?
Piaps? What is that?
pig in a pants suit.
piaps
hillary clinton.
I never got past the cackles and fake love of yellow school buses to look at her jewelry! The mere thought of her as president should give every real American the Willie's!
I wouldn't know about her style - I'm probably not young enough to appreciate it.
I've always been a fashionista.
I have followed her career since the early 'nineties, and believe-you-me, her pantsuits are the very least of her failings. Ugly may go to the bone, but evil - my God, where do you put so much vicious, dripping evil? Screaming vile obscenities in the wee hours, throwing priceless vases around the White House. Yes, God definitely was at work on that one. I don't think he had much of a choice.
She would smother them in word salad...
She definitely would not "unburden" us!
Or the highly rated AOC. Who is giving her high ratings? The insane?
women. no man worth spit would.
Pretty sure the Polls are very skewed and very generous.
They gotta herd them into a pen because trying to consumate the relationship in the pasture results in the goats just running away.
Why do fundamentalist muslims prefer robes? Goats can hear a zipper a mile away.
The real reason for robes is privacy while dropping your load beside the road.
SO glad I finished my lunch before reading that.
That term has two meanings in the urban dictionary.....
LOL, <guffaw>
Halal Animal Husbandry perhaps …
With the Iranians that means the goats are their wives.
And islam says that one must always do one's husbandly duty....
So true, James. I don't understand everything the man is doing, I'm just glad it is him and not Harris doing it. I have faith in his thinking.

Wild wild horses can’t keep the neocons away from microphones.
You just reminded me of an incident in which Jerry Nadler rushed the mic in Congress.
Never saw waddling that fast.
(I do know Nadler is not a neocon - he's public with his Communism instead of secretive.)
Nadler rushing the mic really presents a very undesirable visual. But I think he is also quite fleet when it comes to pursuing hot dog carts on the street corner - at least, that's what I hear.
I never knew they made Depends that large....
Unfortunately, they don’t!
Saw a clip of Nadler at a press conference where he sharted and did the Nad-slide step out of the camera. Wife now refers to him as slime traveler.
Every mention of Nadler brings to mind the image of Danny DiVito's Penguin in the Batman movie. Waddling around like one of those roly-poly kids toys. But more evil.

Agree. My thoughts exactly. Special forces moving in many ways from many angles. Keep them looking over their shoulder.
Of course, we don't know that they're not there. One of the best things about this administration is the lack of leaks.

A pretty good argument can be made that regime change is what got us into this foreign policy problem in the first place.
Yeah - Obama wanted to turn the US into his personal Iran.

“Regime change” will fix most of the problems over there includin* getting us their uranium.
“Regime change” would be great, but doesn't look like it will happen unless we arm the people.
IMHO.
Praying you're right.
So what happen if he does leave the regime in place?
Right or wrong, the mullahs will use their survival as a recruiting tool. "We outlasted both the Great Satan and the Little Satan resisting and outlasting everything they threw at us, and we have survived as a sign from Allah that we will prevail." They will be emboldened to continue in their sworn purpose of destroying us and removing us from the Earth.
This where the surrounding Arab states earn their safety and freedom by being the marshals and prevention team charged with restraining Iran.
We can only hope that's the end game. Trump may be feeling the pressure - especially with the midterms approaching. In retrospect, I wonder if it might have been better to hold off the attack until after the midterms. But, I have no idea what the intelligence was that necessitated the urgency to attack.
From your lips....
The power of 'and'.
Correct!
I went with what PDJT seems to emphasize most - uranium and an open Strait.
I went with all the above too, just like you!
Sometimes poll options end in ellipses, can’t see the complete sentence so I have no idea what it says
I know, right? But I find that the email notice of these articles includes the complete poll answers. So I read the article on substack (better font) and then consult the email version for the poll answers to avoid ellipses. Could work for you, too.
Those eclipse are damn inconvenient, especially when you are trying to get a tan. ;-)
Oh my goodness! Autoincorrect did it to me again! Thanks for pointing this out and for the chuckle I got from your witty reply!
I hate to look like the Grammar police, but sometimes the opportunity for a laugh is too strong to ignore!
I think you are more likely a “correct word police!” Again…I must disengage autoincorrect on my phone!
Seemed like it was one long answer, but you had to select just one part. I took the last "And" even though it was the most ridiculous choice.
Each answer was plus so I likened it to a snowball but stopped at regime change cause we aint into heavy lifting Joe.
Marlan, how did all those deals over the last 47 years work out?
you mean kicking the can down the road?
They have t stopped killing Americans and no deal will stop them. All we did was make them hate us more. End it now. No more Mullahs and no more IRCG.
That was why I picked "regime change." I just don't care for pistachios.
I imagine the Dems will use Monty Python's playbook: "Do you see that? He's oppressing them into peace! 'elp! They're bein' oppressed!"
And we can reply to them that Kamala Harris was the closest to this we've seen yet:
"Strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government!"
Monty Python has a great line for just about anything.
Well, maybe salad-words instead of swords. Apparently close enough for government work?
The Dims will probably impeach Trump for the Abraham Accords even if it is 20-30 yrs from now.
Good morning y’all
“NATO….were pansies shivering…”
I just gotta defend the honor of the unjustly maligned pansy. First, they are beautiful. Second, they thrive in cold weather. And third, in the dead of gloomy winter, I can look outside and see purple, maroon, white, and especially yellow hardy pansies surviving nicely whilst I am comfortably warm inside.
On the other hand, temperamental orchids receive special care and respect. No one says people shiver like orchids…..but perhaps we should.
Great article today. So many voices abound. I rely on you to sort through the noise and share your informed insights.
Sevenfold Amen. Cue the choir.
Handle’s Hallelujah Chorus or Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze?
Now THAT'S a coffee-spitter!
I have (mostly) quit drinking coffee or anything when reading Don's site or the comments. My keyboard thanks me.
Uranium in US hands, the strait open, AND regime change (the IRGC needs to be eradicated as it will never be reformed). Anything less will be a futile exercise of kick the can like the last 47 years.
I fear you’re right, J.
