That sounds like a great idea but I have found sadly, there are a lot of people in this world who cannot be rehabilitated so while that sounds good, it doesn't work and may cause even more evil going forward. That's why we have so much crime in this country.

We all know politics is a nasty business. Poli (many) tics (bloodsuckers). All wanting to personally enrich themselves. Clean up the voter rolls nationwide. One day voting. Paper ballots. Positive voter ID. No mail in ballots.

No one would vote for these walking skinsuits with personalities like thrombosis hemorrhoids.

There cannot be "no mail in ballots". There are military and people on travel or residing overseas who are allowed to vote. There should be no mass mailing of ballots, however. And the onus is on the voter to have there ballot received by election day. That is how it was always run. No mail in ballots for local able bodied people. Legitimate reason for not being physically present to vote in person.

Expand full comment
Suzie's avatar

There what’s NEVER been mass mail in balloting in this country until Covid, which was used as a pretext by the Dems to institute it in a deliberate sure fire plan to steal elections, particularly the 2020 election.

Only Mail in ballots for the military and just a couple of other very specific justifications like disability, has historically always been permitted.

It was the introduction of crops the board, MASS Mail in balloting that has thrown the entire electoral process into a tailspin.

Expand full comment
John Swindall's avatar

Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. I certainly don’t want to disenfranchise our military service people, and those conducting the business of the United States overseas. But I would want those ballots processed on site just like they would a small precinct here in the United States. The results transmitted the day of the election. The paper ballots following in the mail as a paper trail.

Lots of military votes overseas always arrived late never to be recorded in the past.

In California, they push mail-in ballots HARD. They tell you that mail-in ballots are the most secure way to vote.

Until recently, they were sending us 3 mail-in ballots for every election. And they hide the places where you can vote in-person. Takes detective work to find out where the voting places are (they move them frequently) and when they are open.

Just for laughs, I tried to show my driver's license to the official checking my name. They were alarmed and told me to "Put that thing away right now!".

They vote absentee which is a different process than 'mail in ballots'. At least in my state it is. Absentee requires you request the ballot and there is some ID verification.

dancingtime's avatar

That is correct, however, I can tell you that a high percentage of people do not know the difference...my Democrat CNN-watching neighbor back in the woods, for starters...for ease and brevity, I lump them together. Nevertheless, as retired military, the onus needs to be on the voter to have that ballot in by election day...

we are lucky in that our state does early voting. It is an absentee vote that is put in an envelope and placed in a locked cabinet until voting day. Works pretty well. IDs are checked. Then you sign the envelope / and ballet and the volunteers of both parties make sure you put it in the envelope correctly.

Im in a purple state that flips back n forth on Dems and Republicans in the state level. Usually in reaction to a bad Governor.. There are a few areas all Dem but they are a few city areas. We get a lot of RINOs though because the Dims know they cant win some places with a D.

It's because for them, being in politics is just a facade, a ruse for gaming the system to enrich themselves. And it's been that way for so long (generations in many cases) that now with the new internet media transparency, their salesman trickery doesn't work anymore. 'Actually working for the people' is a foreign, extinct concept for them. For "we the people" it will take some time to adjust. But adjust we must and adjust we will and adjusting we are. MAGA.

Porter is simply one of thousands, probably millions of people deceived by satan into believing that they are somehow "gods," and therefore deserving of the utmost respect, akin to worship. It started with Eve, poor soul, who believed the first lie, "You shall not die", despite God's specific and unquivocal word on the topic of eating forbidden fruit. We live in an age of skeptics, who espouse the religion of materialism, which goes under many other names, like socialism, communism, atheism/agnosticism, but which seeks to supplant the worship of the One True God and His uniquely begotten Son, Jesus. That horrible people, like Porter, Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, et al. find their way into politics is not a surprise, for modern politics has become the religion of the materialist. Take a walk through the pantheon of heroes of the materialist religion and you will find some of the world's most destructive people, like Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, Guevara. The list seems endless, because it is. Yet remember one more thing and take heart. They are all dead. Their earthly lives, dedicated to the propositon that they are gods have been ended, and those yet alive will meet the same fate, the fate that is common to all men. However, the end of earthly life is not the end of everything, but is only the precursor to eternal life. The singular and most significant question we must all answer is the question of our eternal destination. For those of us who sought The Truth and have found it in Jesus, an assurance of eternity with Him is our promise. For those who have rejected Him in favor of some other "god," or even "no god", eternity holds nothing but fear, dread and unremitting torment, knowing that such a fate was completely avoidable by simply listening to and obeying the Voice of Jesus, Who told us that His Father's house contained many rooms, available to all who put their faith in Him and follow His teachings. That is where I hope--and believe--I shall spend my eternity, and I can only encourage anyone who reads this to do likewise, before it is too late.
