I just can't fathom how people see this and don't think it is judgment from God. I always wondered what Moses meant when he wrote that God hardened pharaoh's heart, but now I understand.

Just be prepared for faster and more painful transitions between chaos and order, because Jesus compared them to birth pains. And by "be prepared," I mean seek God in prayer and deed because prepping will never save your soul.

Expand full comment
Jeremy R's avatar

But Jesus told us to always be prepared.

The purpose of prepping is so that we cannot be starved into compromising on his word.

In Latvia, during the scamdemic, people who didn't get the quackcine couldn't work, shop or leave their homes. They were starved into submission.

There was a news article earlier this week about a digital ID system. Chipping people just like they chip pets.

I don't think the mark of the beast will be a tattoo .

Expand full comment
David Thompson's avatar

I do not think the mark of the beast will be a tattoo or a chip implant. That is treating the spiritual message solely as its physical manifestation. Because the mark is applied to the hand or head, it can be anything you think (head as a center for rational thought), command done (head as the organ directing the body), or do yourself (hands as a means to effect change). It may have many different physical manifestations but they are all spiritually alike. And it is not necessarily submission under duress.

As for physical preparation, there is nothing inherently immoral about it – but read Matthew 6:24–34. If prepping becomes a way for you to deny God is your only master (by convincing yourself you can handle what is coming on your own, by putting preparation before loving God and your neighbor, by neglecting to spread the gospel) then it is wrong. I prepare for emergencies but am careful not to do so to the extent of taking on debt or letting it consume the time I should spend on building the faith of the people around me. I prepare so I can be a blessing to others in time of need and am confident that things will get bad beyond my ability to prepare but that God will add to me the things I need if I am careful to do His will.

Every prepper I know is a devout Christian. We take GOD at his word that the things he says will happen will happen in his time. I don't know the day nor the hour. As Adrian Rogers noted, GOD said it, that settles it, I believe it.

As a Arizona Republican activist and former Coloradoan, allow me to weigh in: First, Colorado: There is a book called The "Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado (and Why Republicans Everywhere Should Care)". Simply put, some powerful California families, names you know, decided that Colorado was the target and they executed their plan over a period of about 10 years in the late 1990's and early 2000's. It was a combination of old line money and tech lords that funded the effort. Jared Polis, the current governorette, is part of this and comes from a wealthy CA family also. Colorado also had a rotten core, Boulder and Central Denver, which helped when the Dems in the State House re-districted in 2010. After that, no chance at all for Republicans in the 7 or 8 big front range counties.

Arizona was an attempt along the same lines, meaning CA folks moving into AZ in great numbers. Where it went wrong for the Dems in AZ was so many CA Republicans moved in to AZ also and we were much more ready for them this time. It didn't help Kari. but in some ways Kari didn't help herself enough. She would of course have been FAR better than the soulless, vacuous creep that occupies the Gov's office now, but then, so would any real Republican.

I think I am more amazed than shocked that what appears to be the bulk of the media outlets in this country are so trained to see the most liberal short term answer to complicated questions as virtual truths, that it appears any media person HAS to have been groomed and indoctrinated through our awful educational system to become the 'media' we know today. NO country survives on a one year plan, or even a four year (one presidential term) plan. The pathetic group we have in congress, by in large, need to be replaced by real representatives of the honest, hard working, God fearing, USA believing people of this country. The general phrase, "Follow the money", should be applied to every state and national congressional office holder, along with "the love of money is the root of many evil things". Those alone would clear out so much dead wood as to make a big difference in the thinking regarding the future of this country. Then we need to revisit campaign formats and financing, why there is such a need for billion dollar 'war chests', what favors follow victory for any candidate, and how to STOP the cheating. So much should be done, can be done, and, hopefully, will be done as REAL LEADERS overcome the rotten influences that flourish today.

Laziness permeates the media and as proof I offer you to revisit the Rush Limbaugh show where nearly daily he predicted the next days ledes on any network news. The biggest gain MAGA can make in the 2026 mid-terms is to oust as many RINOs as possible. Gaining additional seats is good too. Trump could be 100% more effective if he had a loyal platoon in Congress that could take on the lunatic leftist deep state that plagues him and will go to any length to reverse his orders. For example, a loyal Congress could end the District court lunacy. A Loyal Congress could secure our elections with paper ballots, voter ID, and same day voting.

Yesterday's Senate hearing on RFK, Jr showed that monster on center stage. The same lunatics who want to stop Trump also want to poison our children starting at the age of 6 months of life.

If we can't stop this horror show by leftists, then I hope the end times are near. I don't want my grandkids growing up in this evil mess.

It is said (and it sounds reasonable) that to be a good salesman, one has to be able not take it personally when people turn you down. No matter how, um, strenuously.

Don, is there something similar about reporters, or let's say modern-day reporters, that they have to be comfortable with lying? I mean, to lie about some topic, get called out for the lie, and then come back the next day and lie about something else? Isn't there a sense of shame? Or some guilt to want to do better?

Expand full comment
Joe LaGreca's avatar

They have no shame. An example was when Jake Tapper listened to Trump's comments in Charlottesville & acknowledged (to himself) that Trump didn't say that Nazi's were fine people. But when he had DEM's on his show that repeated the "fine people" lie, he didn't correct them and subsequently repeated the lie himself.

Expand full comment
jdm's avatar

You're right. The examples are legion and Tapper is one of the worst.

I guess I'm more interested knowing what kind of person would be suited to lying all the time and not feel bad about it. Since I wrote the above I've discovered "sociopaths and lying". From Brave's AI:

"Sociopathic lying is characterized by a deliberate, calculated, and often habitual use of deception to manipulate, control, or exploit others without remorse or empathy.

Unlike lies told for personal gain or to avoid consequences, sociopaths may lie simply because they enjoy the act, find it entertaining, or to assert a sense of superiority, often creating elaborate and consistent falsehoods that are difficult to detect.

Their lack of conscience and emotional detachment allows them to lie with ease, even when confronted with evidence, and they frequently use a mix of truth and lies to enhance believability."

OK, modern day "journalists" are sociopaths. Now we're getting somewhere ;-)

Rush Limbaugh use to say when a Democrat/Lib wakes up in the morning its a new day. Anything said yesterday doesn't matter. That perception of truth is past...it will be replaced by a new version of the today's truth. Truth for them is nothing more than their current opinion that expires at sunset and is superseded the next morning. When they voice their next opinion "the truth", it remains unencumbered and ungrounded by reality. Just like it was the day before.
