I don’t feel sorry for NYC in the least. They have gotten what they think they want. That will change when the “free stuff” does not materialize.
The folks I pity are my friends in Western NY and Upstate. They will foot the bill and all I can do now is to tell them to get out now before you can’t.
It occurs to me that, given the way New York treated The Orange Man, they deserve a few years of communist rule. Couldn't happen to nicer folks. When they move, they are cordially invited to stay out of the South.
They arr already in the South. Texas has Muslim "no go zones". In Georgia Stacy Abrams is doing her best to turn the state blue. Look at North and South Carolina.
Yesterday my Geogia ballot had two offices up Public Service Commisioner. (Public Service Commision regulates energy prices.) and County Commissioner. The Republican incumbent lost the Service Commission election. No one thought these two offices were worth showing up for to vote. Well, Stacy knew and got out the Democrats. Don't tell me they're not in the South. Ill bet 7 out of ten people didn't even know there was an election.
Sadly, I agree. Couldn’t pry my husband to vote as he was working that day. Nonetheless our rural northeast Georgia county’s Election Day participation was well attended. But I agree, many right-thinking citizens are not aware of issues and/or elections. We generally treat voting as individuals have responsibility to vote. Leftists aggressively organize their voters and use less-than honorable tactics to “find” blue votes. That is why we lose.
I’m surprised Stacy Abrams has time on her hands to organize a “get out the vote” campaign from being president of the world and visiting every buffet restaurant in Georgia.
NYC is more a varied bunch of cults than it is a cohesive single minded voting city. Each cult votes what is best for itself, not the city as a whole. It was set up that way to further Democrats winning elections. Just look at how most very large cities vote today. There is a reason the Dim party keeps trying to stuff more jobs into big cities and ignoring the rest of the state. Because the big cities are what keep the party in power. Cue Portland, Seattle, NYC, Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, LA. It isn't hard to figure out where the real voting power is in any state. This has been going on for decades right under our noses. As crazy as Oregon has become with Portland, Eugene and Salem determining who wins elections, I do give the rest of the people in the state credit for seeing the hand writing on the wall and realizing they are never going to change it so they decide to move part of the state to Idaho. By the way, this is not just an action to force Salem to change their ways. It's a real movement. It is happening in California as well. Don't underestimate their success either.
I think it’s unwise to underestimate the damage that a rotten Big Apple can do to the rest of the country. We have family in Buffalo and I’m sympathetic to their ties there. We’ve talked at length about other choices. But NYC’s policies mirror and will only enlarge the ones already in place in NY State and no one there intends to change course. A lot of serious business takes place in NYC and it influences citizens in the rest of the country. Failure there will be ugly and damaging to the rest of the country. NY will certainly try to leave me with a big part of the bill.
There are no new stories and this one always ends badly and violently. These are people who genuinely believe that it’s desirable to tear civilization down so a new set up (not civilization) can be established with their guys doing the decorating.
Islam and Marxism are ideologies of conquest and domination, not acclamation. There’s a reason they take over churches and remake as mosques. It’s the same reason Obama is building his monument to himself in Chicago. They are making statements about who is in control.
The white Marxists really believe they can control the Islamists. (Hitler really did. He thought they only wanted to kill Jews.) Do they really think the Islamist will leave a bunch of white women (with blue, pink or grey hair) in charge? Hah.
Ignorance is bliss. The abortion advocates probably voted around 90% on Tuesday. The Trump haters are at the same number. Add the welfare-collecting non-citizens and career-welfare-collecting citizens, all voted yesterday. Tuesday's vote will be the hardest-working day of the year for them. The taxpayers footing the bill didn't have a chance.
The rats are dancing in the alley. They just got a whole new menu to choose from.
Rent your UHaul now. Do not be surprised to see corporate departure. And do not be surprised to see the NYSE relocate to Dallas. I was born in Brooklyn NY in 1942. Formative years in Westchester County, Irvington on the Hudson, home of Washington Irving. Return to NYC in 1968 subsequent to college, USMC ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES-OORAH ) and Vietnam for employment and grad school. Departure in 1973. Have never looked back. It had a distinctive odor even then.
Unfortunately it’s too late for them. They should’ve seen this coming and sold long ago. But they may entice some city folk to “go country” as a first step towards heading to Florida.
So, moving is the answer to our problem now? No, just run some better candidates. Silwa is a good man but bad candidate. Cuomo was a terrible candidate. So, in the entire state of NY there wasn't one Republican better than those two? If not, then NY is doomed. Let's be honest here, this is about money.........big money or the lack of it. It simply takes too much money to run a successful campaign today and that means you need big dollar backers who want something for their support. If no GOP person can excite the big GOP money to back them in placers like NY, then that says a lot about NY politics today and that of all states to one extent or the other. Both parties suck bigtime. Right now the Dims suck more than the GOP. They anoint potential candidates, and it has nothing to do with grass roots action. The grass roots take over once the party says "this is the guy or woman to support". I don't have an answer for this but unless voters can take back our parties it wont change. Mandami won with lots of cash from Muslim groups. Spanberger and Jones won because Virginia is a blue state now and Sears and Miyares ran bad campaigns with not enough money. Both their campaign managers ran terrible campaigns. New Jersey hasn't hit rock bottom yet so they elected more of the same with, yet another Dimocrat who will do their best to get to the bottom. Now the GOP on the Hill is feeling over confidant again assuming they can continue to not do their job and cruise to mid-term victory. Maybe they should all answer this one question for the voters: is their job just to get elected and then stay in power or is their job to fix this country for the people and position it for long term prosperity even if it means jeopardizing their own re-election? That is a simple and direct question that deserves a simple and direct answer.
Well said Reddog and it all comes back to FTM [follow the money ]as well a past clean as a newly installed window because a colonoscopy is coming if you are not a dem.
Yep. You know Marlan, the GOP needs to look hard at why we cannot find good worthy candidates today. They wont do it though because the parties want to control who joins their exclusive clubs. I hate term limits but see little other answer for this mess, at least in the short term. The advent of the internet has changed politics because something you wrote in grade school can now be used against you if you run. No one is squeaky clean enough today. Look at the Dims, they just elected a guy who advocated murder as the AG in Virginia! Miyares ran a bad race but give me a break, is a POS like Jones the new normal today?
Very true. Too many people want to live off the hard work of others and they see big government as the way to get there. They don't understand the world they want to create. Far too much ignorance today for the good of humanity. But everyone of those voters has the latest iphone. Priorities!
It comes down to media coverage, sadly. People I know (not calling them friends any longer) pooh poohed the texts, the military academy scandals, disclosures about the infamous Steele dossier, etc etc etc as "old news" "he/she apologized" "hearsay" "vengence" etc etc etc. But mention or even hint at the T word and you get but Epstein!!!--talk about "old news." Trump is a misogynist, womanizer, corrupt grifter, vile, immoral. Try to counter feelings with facts: destroying Iran's nuclear capability, stopping drug cartels, or bringing manufacturing (and jobs) back to the US, the stuff everyone should be on board with, and I get blank stares. I mentioned elsewhere that a person I know heard the new NY mayor on npr and swooned with "new hope." US debt and health care costs are going to kill us. And thinking that Congress is going to seriously attack either issue is folly. Extending premium subsidies with taxpayer money is money straight to the insurers, hospitals and pharma. I weep.
Very well said, Valoree. You get it. But I believe we have turned the corner somewhat and the big MSM networks are a shadow of their former selves now. Alternate media is where you go for the facts. The MSM is where you go if you live in an alternate reality and just want people to tell you that your world view and non-critical thinking is correct. I don't even think of the alphabet networks as big media any longer, they have become just "entertainment" now for those who want to know how truly delusional a human being can get without being locked up. Ask most people on the right what the left stands for today and the first thing that pops into one's head is "Trump bad" or "Trump is destroying the country" or similar. They sound eerily similar to exactly what the MSM spews every day. But ask those same lefties specifics about what Trump is destroying........you know, the facts, and all you get is an emotional response in return. No facts, just emotion. The MSM has destroyed itself in the name of a political ideology.
Yep. I get all my info from a handful of tried-and-true substacks and "alternative" print. Turned off npr 9/20, let all subscriptions go long ago when the legacy literary icons ie NYer and Atlantic etc were diluted. I don't own a tv. When I tell FIK (friends I know) that they shake their heads at this uninformed goon. And the feeling is mutual.
I challenge you on this. Even the worst city has producers and normal people who most of all want to live normal lives. NYC probably has fewer normals than most but they still deserve the American way of life.
I disagree - deserving has nothing to do with much of life outcomes. Humans have choice and they end up with the outcome that derives (mostly) from those choices. Luck, serendipity and genes (as well as the negatives like malice) affect outcome as well, but there’s no deserve in the equation.
I also believe it’s the case that most people do not run their lives on principles and most are not strong enough nor have enough will to defend those principles they do have. Like in the TV westerns: most people will hide in the store or the saloon and watch the sheriff or the hired gun try to defend the town from the local bandits. And then they will run the sheriff or hired gun out of town for doing what they wanted done. Running for school board (a truly time consuming and thankless job) is too much of a burden to protect girls on sports teams and in bathrooms. And you will get more complaints than thanks when you do.
11/05/25: "Last year’s election debacle, rooted in the rapid decline of the then-81-year-old Joe Biden, took a heavy toll on New Hampshire congresswoman Annie Kuster."
new york city, virginia and new jersey prove that the 19th destroyed our once great constitutional republic. this is the beginning of the end. only 3 years until armageddon,
Ignorance has no bounds. Unfortunately, when it realizes its mistakes, it tries to move to another state and then it does the same thing. Sound like anything else in our culture? (Hint: illegals) People who make mistakes need to be tough enough to stay and fix them but that is hard work so they move. This is exactly what is happening in the world today with countries voting for the wrong people and then fleeing to other countries when it goes bad. Just ask the folks in the UK about it.
Yesterday I got a notice from X telling me "You may not use X's services in a manner intended to artificially amplify, suppress information, or engage in behavior that manipulates or disrupts people's experience or platform manipulation defenses on X." As you know I was reminding people that there is a very long history of powerful Caribbean hurricanes going back to the Little Ice Age. So yes I had a good weekend on X. After I hit the Appeal Button a human had to check my tweets and the caution was removed. Not bad for a Boomer.
For anyone curious about Paradise Park Solar Plant
Condition of Paradise Park Solar Plant
The Paradise Park Solar Plant (also known as EREC Paradise or Eight Rivers Solar Project), Jamaica's largest solar facility at 51.5 MWp, is located near Savanna-la-Mar in Westmoreland Parish, southwestern Jamaica—directly in the path of Melissa's eyewall. This ground-mounted photovoltaic farm, spanning 81 hectares with 156,000 panels, supplies about 6% of the island's electricity and powers the equivalent of 78,000 homes under a 20-year agreement with the Jamaica Public Service (JPS).
Post-storm assessments from NOAA aerial surveys reveal **severe structural damage** to the plant:
- **Panel and Array Disruption**: A significant portion of the solar arrays appears scattered or displaced, with debris visible across the site. The uniform grid of panels is no longer intact in large sections, suggesting high winds (gusts exceeding 200 mph) uprooted or sheared mounting structures.
- **Infrastructure Compromise**: The nearby power substation sustained damage, contributing to localized blackouts in Savanna-la-Mar and surrounding areas. This aligns with broader JPS reports of destroyed transmission towers and roofs torn off utility buildings (e.g., the JPS office in nearby Black River).
- **Flooding and Site Integrity**: While the plant was designed with 13 distinct PV fields to accommodate natural waterways and minimize flood risk, satellite imagery and ground reports indicate inundation in low-lying sections, potentially exacerbating erosion around foundations.
As of November 5, 2025, the plant is **offline and non-operational**, halting its annual output of 82,000 MWh. Full damage surveys are delayed due to ongoing access issues and safety concerns, but early estimates suggest repairs could take months, involving panel replacements and grid reconnection. Neoen (majority owner) and partners like Rekamniar Frontier Ventures have not issued a public update, but Jamaica's Prime Minister Andrew Holness emphasized resilient rebuilding, including enhanced storm-proofing for energy infrastructure.
Whoever thought that building those solar farms was a good idea is a complete idiot. They not only take up extensive acreage of perfectly good land but are huge ugly messes! We've seen several in West Texas and they go on for miles and miles. I saw photos of the destroyed one in Jamaica and it's sad to see, but not surprising. Just imagine what a big hail storm could do to all those panels!
As a Boomer, I can only be happy to see the last vestiges of left-leaning Boomers exit stage left.
My kids and, I’m confident, my grandkids will be salt and light. So will the following generations in our humble church (avg kids per family is 4.5 and growing).
One cannot maintain hope for this country without faith.
Steve, I completely agree with you but I am concerned with the believers who think it is a Christian call to not get involved in politics and not vote. Too worldly.
We need to make politics a stated mission of all believers; a responsibility.
If your church doesn't back away from the obligation to vote for the advancement of Christian principles then congratulations to your Elders.
Well, I am not religious and have no faith - other than in Trump, and I'll tell you that you are wrong that one cannot have hope for our country without faith.
Gail- I meant faith in general, not necessarily faith in Christ. Faith as in belief that change is possible.
My esteem for Trump is hard to surpass, but he’s only a man- not omniscient nor omnipotent.
You, me and him need anchors for our souls. Forget about all you’ve seen or heard from Christians- genuine or so-called, and read the Bible for yourself. I recommend starting with the Gospel of John.
Thank you Steve. I'll consider your recommendation. I just don't seem to have been 'downloaded' with the religious observance 'program'. Ha.
We live in a VERY Christian area now (in FL) and I LOVE all the devout people here. But I (and my hubby even more so, frankly) are just kind of 'unicorns' in that we're both very politically conservative but don't connect to the 'faith' thing.
And yes, I know DJT *could* disappoint me one day, but that would surely be the very darkest of days.
I *hope* that leftists will get their act together but I cannot have 'faith' they will do so. Only when I see it, can I believe it. 😊
The first thing the republicans must do is fix the election system they’ve ignored for so long. Mail-in ballots, illegals voting, voter id, corrupt election workers. It’s way late on this and they’ve been sitting on their hands. They haven’t cleaned the voter roll in GA, for heaven’s sake! They did it again yesterday in NJ, VA, and PA. The shenanigans continue.
Virginia is a pretty clean voting system - it was going to be tough because NOVA votes, and the shutdown, and attack on the size of the government, directly has a negative impact on them.
It's too bad about Winsome Earle-Sears. I was very happy after she was first elected as Lt. Governor, but then did not really hear much about her. So I don't know what exactly she did that "betrayed" Trump, but whatever it was, it sure backfired badly on her. It is always a slog for Republicans in Virginia, but this year the Democratic candidates were pretty weak (especially that sick AG). So a Republican who had Trump's full support probably could have won. She made a huge mistake forfeiting Trump's support.
But, I trust she can grow from this, and come back clearer-headed and continue to contribute in Virginia politics.
You nailed it, Jim. Even though Winsome won election statewide in 2021, it wasn't enough to fend off those 200,000 or so plus pissed off, laid off, and mentally switched off democrat federal "workers." And we are thinking that Democrats got the blame for the shutdown?
Democrats blame the GOP, GOP blames the democrats. And their base voters agree with each.
Facts that the democrats have voted over 10 times to not re-open the government on a clean CR be damned. It really doesn't matter at this point. Trump isn't going to agree to much of anything on the dem's terms, so he won't sign it, which is why Johnson isn't going to do anything, and the other being that the original CR I think financed things through Nov 21 which is fast approaching anyway. At some point, the original individual spending authorization bills by department are going to have to get put through.
Western Civilization has been the aberration. There is no “moral arc of the universe.” There is, however entropy. Strap in. As the meme says “Hey friend listen, I know the world is scary right now…but it’s gonna get way worse.”
And now that VA has the Gov, Lt Gov, AG AND Legislature I expect they are going to gerrymander the @#$%^&* out of that state that I can only imagine how many MORE congressional seats the Dems will create in CA and VA now!
WHERE THE F was the RNC in NJ or VA????
I'm just glad we came to FL when we did.
Sadly every piece of political 'news' feels like we're shifting closer and closer to the hot civil war. As tempting as that might be, Kurt Schlichter novels dramatically depict the grim reality of what that would look like.
I am not one to indulge in "newspaper exegesis," nor do I consider myself anything like a prophet, but I can't overlook the strange confluence between today's electoral results and my Bible reading this morning, Zechariah, Chapter 11. For those who are unacquainted with Z, he was one of the Jews who returned to The Promised Land from Babylonian captivity after Cyrus issued his decree in circa 538 BC. He is acknowledged as being among the prophets of The Old Testament who wrote about future events as revealed to him by Yahweh concerning Israel and its (and our) Messiah, yet the contents of Chapter 11 seem eerily applicable to our times here in America. He begins the chapter by describing the portending invasion of Israel by its enemies, which Yahweh allows as punishment for Israel's apostacy and idolatry. He observes that Israel's "shepherds" are treacherous and instead of tending their flock, they kill and devour it! So it is not merely foreign enemies, but internal ones who are responsible for the demise of the sheep. But worse than that, the surviving sheep are reduced to eating one another! God is quoted as saying, “I will not be your shepherd. What is to die, let it die. What is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed. And let those who are left devour the flesh of one another... For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.” But the unfaithful, destructive shepherds are themselves not spared of punishment for their wrongdoing. “Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be wholly withered, his right eye utterly blinded!” So we here in America, at this time in history are seeing the invasion of our nation by foreigners, whose only desire is to steal, kill and devour the flock, and whose very shepherds, our elected "leaders" are chief among the evildoers whose only desire is to consume the sheep under their care, but whose doom is sealed and assured. If you see any parallels to our condition, I think it is not a coincidence. But to those who scoff at such things, all I can say is denial is not and has never been an effective preventative. What will come about will come about, whether you deny it or not. A word to the wise should be sufficient, although for many, I doubt that it will.
Thanks for posting this--never saw the movie but will now. Were those Drag Queens performing in one of the shots? Too prescient!!! Didn't realize John Carpenter was the director--that's a plus.
To be honest, I haven't seen it either so watch at your own peril.
It's the only movie about NYC that didn't involve a natural disaster like a global warming tsunami, meteor strike, or attack by alien (the space kind) invaders. They've already been attacked by the migrant kind.
I love the point in the trailer that describes NYC as a walled-in city prison that nobody can escape. That's what Mamdani will turn it into.
I grew up in a suburb of NYFC in the late ‘60s and ‘70s, before it was rehabbed the first time. I moved hours upstate to get away from their and have been here my adult life, watching from afar. Other than driving through the city on the way to visit relatives downstate, I don’t think I’ve visited the place in over 10 years. I’ve had my fill, and really don’t care what happens to the place. As the great H.L. Mencken famously said “democracy is the idea that the common man knows what he wants, and deserves to get it good and hard.” With the growing influence of Feminazis in politics that holds true even more so. Happy Mamdani Day dopes. This is likely the high point for the next four years. And it couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of morons.
I followed a similar path - Manhattan in the 50's, Queens in the 60's & 70's, and Staten Island in the 80's - moved to northern Westchester in 1987. We live in a swing district - our Reps, in order, were Sue Kelly (R), Jon Hall (D), Nan Hayworth (RINO), Sean Patrick Maloney (LGTBQ+). and now Mike Lawler (RINO). I've never noticed our local paper, the Journal News (owned by Gannet), endorsing a Republican. I don't buy any of he newspapers anymore. Stopped our subscription to the Journal News when they published locations of legal gun owners in the county - but they refused to publish locations of convicted sex offenders & pedophiles, citing privacy concerns. I wrote a letter to the editor letting them know we were cancelling them & asked about their concern for gun owners privacy rights but didn't get a reply.
By Christmas, it is rumored that at least one million prominent New Yorkers will move out leaving the city in a precarious state. New York will be crime ridden, abandoned by tourists, and will require tremendous funding to keep it going. When rent control, free food, and other communist handouts fail, it will be a war zone.
I hope Trump makes sure Fed funds are not allocated via leftist money laundering channels to pay for Mamdani's coup to our republic.
PS: I noted in my community many Democrats won seats at local levels in this off-year election yesterday. I fear it bodes poorly for the mid-terms in a year. Voter turnout by R's was poor. How soon they forget the Dems are blood thirsty and ready to pounce.
If this Muslim Communist follows through on his election promises NYC is toast.
Republicans had a bad night last night. They lost everything.
I hope in the time before the midterms Democrats start doing what they really want to do now that they have a little bit of pep in their step and this will convince most voters freak shows are just that… freak shows and not a way to govern.
" . . . and this will convince most voters freak shows are just that… freak shows and not a way to govern."
I wish I could say I believe you but I don't have faith in the average Republican voter. Republican voters have a short memory, seem to be distracted and disinterested, and have a long track record of skipping elections (except for the big one every four years). Then, there is the contingent of Christian believers who don't vote at all.
Seeing the big races fall to Dems yesterday after a year of Trump slam-dunk victories has either made these "silent majority" voters go to sleep, or falsely believe they already won the war.
Don't forget, we are fighting for the middle, the independents. Very few Dems will ever shift and it's the same for republicans. The independents will go either way. Those are the ones who will see what Mamdani hath wrot for NYC. Midterms get going with the primaries starting in February. That's when the real work starts. It's also when the Kracken (the Trumpster), will be released to wreck havoc on the Dems.
The last year has presented a stark contrast between MAGA Republicans and the Communist left in Mamdani, the New Jersey and Virginia Governors races, and Virginia AG. What was posted and stated (or not stated) by these leftists during the campaign was very concerning yet it didn't seem to affect their voting.
Are these single-issue independents getting tired of Trump?
If what you are saying is true, what does that mean for 2026?
The stark contrast is blinding. Something is terribly wrong.
I agree with you. Trump is racking up wins with his negotiating prowess. The average voter has forgotten the huge domestic win that was the BBB. All they see now is Trump hopping on a plane to solve some other country's problem. He needs to articulate how this fits into his overall plan, that he needs to fix some problems overseas before we can be successful at home. Instead of talking about all his winning, Trump needs to talk about how each victory will help the American family and worker.
" . . . Trump needs to talk about how each victory will help the American family and worker."
Couldn't agree more. Stop bragging and start educating the moderate/independent "adopted wing" of MAGA. He doesn't need to convince any true MAGA but he certainly needs to keep tight bonds with moderates/independents if possible.
As I stated in another comment here, I await Trump's analysis of the surprising Dem wins considering the winners had notably damaged histories. We just elected treasonous enemies of America. I am dismayed - not at losing to a Democrat - but to seeing a true communist/Marxist/insurrectionist win against a Democrat.
To your point, I think voters - in their short memory spans - have forgotten what trump has achieved unless these independents really don't care. Independents are often single-issue voters which is why they swing back and forth. They are not in the "Make America Great Again" camp.
Mid terms are "supposed" to go to the party not in power and this election does not bode well for MAGA in 2026.
One last thought: Have the Dems invented a new way to cheat in Blue states that we haven't discovered yet? We've shut down many of their old ways so have they invented new ones for 2026 so they can impeach Trump?
Rush always like to say that the "precious independents" don't know who they are when they wake up in the morning & the consultant class (think Karl Rove) will always promise that they can get that precious 20% of the voters - that's their livelihood.
The losses that Republicans had last night in New York City, New Jersey, and California are NOT representative of where America as a whole is at, and it would be a mistake to get all pessimistic about it.
All 3 places mentioned above are very deep in the election fraud "doo-doo". California and NY City most folks already know about--illegals vote, campaign finance is totally corrupt, etc. But New Jersey is just as seriously bad.
I remember the last special(?) election in New Jersey (a couple years ago--2022?), where there were two big races--governor, and a the re-election race for the Speaker of the New Jersey House. Both races were very tight, with the Republicans having a real chance to win.
In the House race, a MAGA Republican, a plumber or something by trade, famously ran a super bare-bones campaign, going around in his truck, or something. Yet he was polling super well and the Dems were genuinely afraid the longtime-Democrat incumbent would lose.
On election night, there was the now-familiar "middle of the night voting count pause"-- because both these two races were "too tight to call", and it looked like Republicans might win BOTH of them. But after the "middle of the night pause", the final results "came in", and the Democrats had won the Governorship, but the Republicans had won the House Representative seat, and thereby, the New Jersey Speaker of the House was unseated--this was a really big win for the Republicans.
What I would definitely bet happened, is that the Republicans actually were going to win BOTH the Governorship and the state House seat, but the Democrats were fearful of cheating in BOTH to pull off a win. It was a special election, and the eyes of the country were heavily focused on it. I think the Dems were afraid that with all the election fraud scrutiny going on over the 2020 election, that they didn't dare cheat TOO obviously and win BOTH races. So since BOTH races were super tight--within 1 or 2 points--they decided they could "safely" cheat enough to give the Governorship to the Dems, but they deliberately decided to sacrifice the House seat. So the plumber (or whatever) guy DID ('was allowed to") win.
So CA, NY, and New Jersey are tainted results. Huge progress HAS been made on election clean-up, scroll down Judicial Watch's feed, plus many other victories all over the country. Yes, there's still some glaring trouble spots. But improvement IS occurring, and all is not "blackness and despair".
I think we can say the message from yesterday's election is every Dem win was basically a 51-49 spread, not exactly but in general, indicating the progress we've made is still evident. Unfortunately, it is not as strong as it was in 2024 so it is probably an indication we've lost some of the moderates in this off-year election. The other significant factor is the Republicans didn't show up to vote. I know that's true in my community and it really angers me. The Dems worked very hard for voter turnout and it worked.
Again, I agree with you. It’s not all doom and gloom. Trump is the best politician of my lifetime. Perhaps he focused on getting the geopolitical table set in 2025–and what he has accomplished in 9 months is astounding—so he could focus on domestic gains leading into the 2026 midterms.
For people interested in how Trump has the evil globalists and domestic traitors on their back foot, one of the best “go to” sites is Promethean Action. They do tri-weekly, 20-minute videos on YouTube covering what Trump is doing and why. Great stuff by two boomer women even the nihilist GenX, Millennials and Zoomers love.
It's incorrect to say Zhou Xiden would simply do as he was told. Rather he would do what they paid him to do or say. Drop a quarter in the jukebox and pick your song.
Not only did Mamdani win, so did Alvin Bragg who got 75% of the vote! We are paying for the disruption of the sixties and seventies. Those protesters became academics and now teach the students of today. Now, these know-nothings run for office and get elected by people who also know nothing and shouldn’t be voting in the first place. What is happening now is that these votes for the infants are protest votes against Trump. What is irrational is they voted against their interests! They have a hatred so deep for the man that it spurred all of them to come out. It’s irrational, but when one hates so deeply, all reason is lost. Then you get these timid liberal women who got elected governor in NJ and VA. The former doesn’t have a clue about anything and says she’ll fight Trump all the way, and the latter idiot got in because of the bitterness from all those government workers who lost their jobs. Wait until these ladies come to Washington for money!
Stacy was reported to be in North Georgia the other day
I’m surprised the earth tremors went unnoticed!
They only “deserve” their socialism if we can build a wall around them to keep it in so it does not spread to the rest of us. Can you guarantee that?
Texas is full. Sorry
There is definitely no room for any more Democrats in FL either!
Left Brooklyn for Texas 15 years ago. Never looked back.
The GOP in NJ found a good candidate, Jack Chiattarelli. What they could not find was enough voters who were not boobs and fools.
“You can vote yourself into Communism, but you have to shoot your way out.”
I challenge you on this. Even the worst city has producers and normal people who most of all want to live normal lives. NYC probably has fewer normals than most but they still deserve the American way of life.
Based on yesterday's vote, they won't find the American way of life there.
And you will get more complaints than thanks when you do.
if they're too stoopit to vote accordingly perhaps they actually DON'T deserve the american way of life.
11/05/25: "Last year’s election debacle, rooted in the rapid decline of the then-81-year-old Joe Biden, took a heavy toll on New Hampshire congresswoman Annie Kuster."
It was Kuster's Last Stand.
new york city, virginia and new jersey prove that the 19th destroyed our once great constitutional republic. this is the beginning of the end. only 3 years until armageddon,
On Carville and stupid: I told both of my boys, don’t marry stupid and don’t marry crazy because both conditions are permanent. They understood.
So New York elects a Muslim socialist. Apparently the voters are both stupid and crazy.
Yep , whole Lotta adjustments coming for NYC , NJ , and Virginia . They ain't gonna be pleasant either . Our civil clash is getting closer.
Nor stick your d..k into 🤪
Great lifetime advise for your boys.
Very, very very CRAZY!!!
I've read that message 4 times, and still don't know what it means. You must be exceptionally gifted.
Wow. Not on x so have never seen it.
Don’t know what it means either, but it’s easy to tell it’s not good!
Somebody accused him of disseminating falsehoods ; the appeal got admin involved . They discovered the accusations were undeserved .
Interesting; thanks for posting this. New York City is not the only thing that has become "Toast".
Truth ! Lots of people cannot accept the truth about green energy ; there ain't any !
Somebody call Musk ASAP.
Absolutely. Our elders* embrace the idea of being heavenly-minded AND doing earthly good.
*All men under 50 with families. I can’t keep up with them so I’m emeritus.
Well, I am not religious and have no faith - other than in Trump, and I'll tell you that you are wrong that one cannot have hope for our country without faith.
One *can* have hope, but it is NOT easy! 🫤
I am sitting shiva. G-d, this sucks, and I pray this is an aberration. Let's work to make the mid-terms successful for the conservatives.
And when Republicans' file a lawsuit after the election the judge is more than likely to say that they should have addressed it before the election.
I’m of the opinion, based on past experience with NYS politics and working in elections, that the cheating is “baked-in” from decades ago.
I urge you to take a look at the “Motor-Voter” scheme going back to Clinton and perfected by Obama- Holder.
It’s still there in every state, even though some have taunted the system/process is being cleaned up….🤦🏻🙄
Western Civilization has been the aberration. There is no “moral arc of the universe.” There is, however entropy. Strap in. As the meme says “Hey friend listen, I know the world is scary right now…but it’s gonna get way worse.”
I hear you Richard.
You are over the target , Steve. 💯
Will the last person leaving NYC please turn off the lights.
Atlas Shrugged’s final scene is playing as we type.
They're already in the dark.
The lights (and all utilities) will be non-functional months before the last person exits.
At this rate, "Escape from New York" may get a second run.
It will be a Kurt Russell revival.

I’d rather we build a wall around the city and not let anyone who voted for the socialist out.

Alley cats have more morals than commies.
The Dems are just starting to fight.
I think you are making my point.
We've shut down many of their old ways so have they invented new ones for 2026 so they can impeach Trump?
check out Omega4America stack
Voters have short memories - that what the DEM's & RINO's count on.
Your positivity is nice on this day-after.
Seeing Alex Soros hugging Mamdani tells you who owns him.
Sorts knows not what he does ; he is being used . Muslims cannot be owned by an infidel .
In all fairness, Don, Mountain Jam was 33 minutes 41 seconds.
Eat A Peach remains my G.(A).O.A.T.
Those eight tracks never made it in my house just for that reason!
And it did take up two sides of vinyl. Side 2 and side 4 of Eat a Peach.
I think I feel worse than I did in 2020. The evil and moral decay is everywhere.
Never fear, The Donald is here. In 2020 all we had was Mitch. Those were dark times.
It's incorrect to say Zhou Xiden would simply do as he was told. Rather he would do what they paid him to do or say. Drop a quarter in the jukebox and pick your song.
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
And here we are
Let’s see if the Supremes drive stake through the heart of the country today to top it off
Sickening
Remember the adage: The left always accuses everyone else of doing what they are already doing themselves.
So they accused President Trump of being Hitler.
We all know the primary hatred Hitler and his National Socialist party was famous for.
Excellent commentary on the left’s enfants terrible, Don!
