Why wasn't "shove it up her keister" an option for today's poll?

marbucks's avatar

I was going to comment “great poll,” but this excellent option wasn’t in it.

I was assuming it would be a choice, also.

AZCACTUSPETE's avatar

Exactly.... I was searching for the word... you nailed it.

Lefty causes just warm the heart a bit more than righty causes. BTW, is it male/female or other? Either way it's ugly.

I think it's Paul McCartney's long lost son.

Generally people's exterior looks mirror their heart. And lefties are almost always ugly.

Obviously the result of too much Schnapps over the generations.

Don’t worry, she and her supporters will eventually come out against Zyklon B — not because it was used in the gas chambers, but when they find out it was a pesticide.

And note she didn’t give away ALL her inheritance, did she?

CactusMatt32's avatar

Surely she didn’t give just €€ to these charities….would not be surprised to find the secret giving codicil that €50 million “in kind” to Charité Hamas - 10 tonnes Zyklon B for ‘farming’….

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Her charitable donation may be the interest earned for one day on her 50 billion dollar fortune.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

you seem to forget that the Nazi's thought like Margaret Sanger. that Jewish people and minorities were subhuman undeserving of the right to life. They were pests.

Ron's avatar

Fair point ... however, my joke was aimed at 2025 clueless and entitled leftists, who would be more appalled that a chemical pesticide was developed than a Jewish holocaust took place.

VICKI's avatar

I think it was what she supposed was the tax on the estate...just extraneous cash to who knows what.

Suzie's avatar

As DOGE more than amply revealed, the track record of the Left actually issuing the money they receive to specific causes and agendas is not good, after the bulk ends up being siphoned off by the “caretakers” 6 figure salaries, and “administrative costs” for limousines and vacation homes in far off places.

She’d be wise to have audits set up to keep track of her donations to make sure they get to where they’ve been allotted to go.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

You can stop with “wise”. That gene was lost two generations ago

Surberism of the day: "I did Nazi that coming"

She can do what she wants but the press has an obligation to report all the facts or are they just plain lazy?

Cookie McCall's avatar

The press, what press? You mean the alleged "journalists?"

Retirednottired's avatar

No, not just lazy. They are also evil.

VICKI's avatar

For sure and it actually took me a minute...good one, Don.

MLR's avatar

So Marlene Engelhorn will be on the next flotilla supporting the modern day NAZI’s called Hamas. Will she be bringing a supply of Zyclon B to finish off the job the other Austrian didn’t finish?

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Hopefully she doesn’t create any new offspring.

CactusMatt32's avatar

Maybe the great-grandsons/tochters of the engineers that invented the Topedo have a different idea of what They can do to make GreatGrandpa Proud Again!!!

Rob Olsen Elder's avatar

She should donate 1/3 of her money to the descendants of the Nazi victims, accept Christ as her savior and donate 1/3 to worldwide victims of floods, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. Lastly, donate 1/3 to Christian charities and missions. Choose good, not evil. Well, one can hope and pray for her.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

That makes way too much sense for a lefty.

Retirednottired's avatar

Surely you don’t mean like the “Christian charities” who spend so much money helping illegal immigrants get into the USA?

Rob Olsen Elder's avatar

No. I am thinking of Samaritan's Purse (Franklin Graham), Compassion International, Food for the Poor, etc. Where over 80% of contributions go to the needy.

Brian LeMay's avatar

I dunno ; I have never seen an instance where donated money reaches those who need it .

James Wills's avatar

Fritz Haber was quite a fellow. I don't know if he was aware of how Zyklon B was going to be used, but he also had another accomplishment: the Haber process for fixing nitrogen.

Why is that important? Well, up until he developed it, the primary way to obtain nitrogen fertilizers was sailing to isolated islands and poop-scooping bird droppings accumulated over tens of thousands of years. That not only put a severe cramp on making those nitrate explosives upon which we depend to shred our enemies to bits, but on fertilizer for growing the plants that help nourish said cannon-fodder.

So, around 1900, humans were desperate for a way to "fix" nitrogen from the atmosphere, of which nitrogen gas comprises 78%, give or take.

My old buddy Grok, when asked about the Haber-Bosch process's impact, says the following:

"A key 2008 study in Nature Geoscience calculated that synthetic nitrogen fertilizers produced by the Haber-Bosch process supported about 44% of the global population in 2000, rising to 48% by 2008—effectively making the lives of around half of humanity possible through enhanced food production."

Yep, like ALL science and Scientists Who Matter, they produce evil AND good.

History of tech - and an obsession with WWII - are how I entertain myself in my dotage. Mankind's had quite a run. Hope it all pans out ....

TeaPartyGal's avatar

The background you gave on Fritz Haber was very interesting. As to your "dotage", I think the retirement years can be marvelous, a time when you can explore your deep interests, and when in reality, you are at your prime intellectually, with many years of observation and mental development behind you, resulting in reaching a true level of wisdom.

There is so much collective wisdom in the commenters on Don's Substack. The world today needs this wisdom. And every single one of us has tons to offer. And since we are in a "mental war" in this country between two belief systems (freedom vs. totalitarianism), we are for sure valuable soldiers in the intellectual component of the battle.

Shrugged's avatar

Poll: "What should Marlene Engelhorn do with her money?"

Give it to me.

Just once in my life I want to experience the "Hollywood Effect". That is, to have so much money that I experience the guilt of having too much money that I didn't work hard to earn.

Then, I'll donate most of it to dissect the brain tissue of leftist radicals to finally measure - and fix - what happens to their brain tissue to cause them to become unhuman.

Chuck Goldman's avatar

Not to mention ’In’human.

Shrugged's avatar

Chuck, it is funny you mention that as I spent a minute or so deciding if I wanted to say 'inhuman' or 'unhuman'.

Using the term inhuman assumes they are human to start with but do something contrary to that state of being. I'm not sure Marlene meets the criterion. Therefore, I chose the term unhuman to suggest she can't be of the same genetic origins as our human race.

I think Marlene's picture supports that conclusion. She has some resemblance to space alien hybrids. I can't tell from the photo but are her irises/pupils pure black?

Chuck Goldman's avatar

Also that poor girl Jenna Ortega… WTF

Get a decent makeover, thank you very much Don for including that choice!! Lord she’s hideous. My first thought was at least go to the salon and get a decent haircut and some makeup. Let us know that you’re at least TRYING. If I were Jewish, I’d hightail it out of Europe for sure. Pretty soon all of the beautiful cathedrals will be mosques.

William Coulter's avatar

A decent makeover won’t help.

If you were unfortunate enough to wake up next to her you might swear off women.

Alice Ball's avatar

Ahh, you doubt the power of professional hair and makeup! Longer hair, hair color, makeup would go a looong way. She looks very much like a boy, but she’s also trying to—-that’s part of the Left : be ugly on purpose.

Playswithneedles's avatar

Yes, but all of the makeup and stylists on the planet can’t do a thing about the ugly that is inside her.

That has been my observation too over the years. Many frightful left wing female activists who look hideous I believe choose to look that way as a form of protest against the male gaze, and a reality denying virtue signal. This is not to deny that they are usually mentally damaged by decades of abuse and propaganda.

Looking at them objectively with compassion I usually see young women with good bones, often nice features like noses and lips, who are often overweight, with misaligned teeth and bad haircuts.

Sadly, although the physical manifestation of their psychosis may be corrected with money, time and attention to detail this will never cure the underlying conditions.

I grieve for them and their generation.

As a subtext we must also accept that transforming such an unlikely candidate into a beautiful woman would inevitably attract young men, and the most honourable would propose marriage and children.

Sadly from my experience this never ends well.

xx

Here is a couple of factoids re Austria

-it’s real name is Österreich… sound familiar, the East Riech

-Austria CHOSE to become part of the 3rd Reich. Like to the tune of 97%. Read up about the Anchloss.

- Most of the SS came from Austria

- After the war, because the West needed Allies to counter the Soviet Block, Austria was labeled a ‘Victim State’… Puhleeze!

- Most Austrians want to be left alone, that might translate into ‘We hate tourists’, but of course when it comes to free spending Americans who fell in love with the Trapp family after the Sound of Music (and that annoying kid in the choir), it was more like ‘OK drop your coin already and get the ‘f’ out!

-Hitler was Austrian

-So were 20 other Nazi War Criminals 10 of whom were executed.

-By the way, Beethoven was German.

Anyway, is it any surprise about this broad. It’s in her blood!

Gutten Tag Y’all!

If Marlene really wants to do something worthwhile and atone for her great grandfather’s wickedness , she should give the money to Israel.

Wow! Really good. The perfect example of why, if you want Real Information, you frequent trusted blogs like this one and not the Lamestream media.

TeaPartyGal's avatar

This is outstanding--thank you for linking it. This is definitely one of the most important things that can be done to "save America". But before we rush to trust and rely on and give money to Shiloh Marx, there does still need to be more probing of his background and activities. And I'd like to hear Judicial Watch's take on this guy. But PM, you have started the process by drawing him to our attention--Thank you!

TeaPartyGal's avatar

And I will say, this young guy is an example of the vast power WE DO HAVE available to save America. It is INDIVIDUALS--millions of individuals--all over the place--and like us--who each in their own way, and in their own circles of activity and acquaintance--become inspired to realize what their unique way of contributing to this MAGA cause can be, and then go ahead and act on it.

It is the same reason why capitalism is so superior to any other economic system. And yes capitalism can be abused here and there by people with poor morals. But for the most part, the power of capitalism is that it unleashes INDIVIDUAL EFFORT on a gigantic scale. NOTHING can beat the impact of millions of INDIVIDUALS, set free to make their contribution to this world. And capitalism lets them own the financial rewards that follow this activity (which good people usually reinvest in another good purpose) and also own and accept responsibility when it fails. Being unleashed to make their contribution is both fulfilling to the individual, and a huge benefit to the world.

And in aggregate, it is a power that NOTHING can withstand. And right now, we are blessed to have an "ultimate example" of the capitalist, individualist mindset--Trump--leading the way, really for the whole world.

Why do these self-hating shitlibs always look defective? Is that fine Austrian inbreeding at work?

I’m a big believer in keeping gubmint hands off private citizens’ money. Sometimes, though, I am forced to reconsider after seeing the leftist bent of so many generational descendants of successful people, or the trusts & foundations they founded devolve into useless, whiny SJWs that end up funding anti-civilization causes.

So does the government, as the outing of the flagrant abuse of USAID revealed, not to mention the amount of taxpayer dollars allotted by Congress - both parties - to all their pet causes and harebrained schemes.
