As Tyrus suggested the only way to listen to Kamala’s word salads is with bongos

Cookie McCall's avatar

I used to think that Tyrus was such a huge doofus but after listening to him on Gutfield a few times, I realized he is actually a pretty smart guy even if he does wear his baseball hat backwards and is covered in tattoos

Lawsy0's avatar

Those who know Tyrus say he is a great Dad.

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: Same here. Never judge a book by...

Jeremy R's avatar

Horizontal Harris has a voice for silent movies and a face for radio.

Michael Davis's avatar

Maynard G. Krebs and the bongos - for sure! And I agree, Tyrus is a smart dude who has a persona to maintain. His observations are on point.

joated's avatar

A little weed would help, too.

Lawsy0's avatar

Smokin' a joint and singing "doobie doobie doo." Tyrus is "tuff" in the 70's term of the word.

OldeArtiste's avatar

If there had been bongos with Kamala's "turd" salads, she maybe would have more votes (she probably still would've lost).

Adorable Deplorable's avatar

Just goes to show how real TDS is. If only Dr. Fauci would come up with a vaccine... this way we could cure the disease and rid ourselves of Dems at the same time.

Jeremy R's avatar

If we can convince them that Trump will be beyond their worst fears, maybe they will move to Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea. They can help those countries get communism right.

Lawsy0's avatar

I can relax because I know that Fauci will never find a cure for stupid.

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: Speaking of TDS, "The [Charleston, West Virginia, newspaper] has two coal reporters. Well, OK, one is paid by ProPublica, a totally nonpartisan and (wink, nod) unbiased source of journalism."

ProPublica is so "nonpartisan," they're on the M-13 Board of Directors.

jimok's avatar

“ West Virginia needs a post-coal economy as much as I need to have a post-writing career.”

Hey Don, the Social Security Admin has folks older than 150 on pay status. Maybe you should have a plan, just in case!

James Wills's avatar

Good one!

BTW, I just saw that Mr. Methuselah's Social Security benefits were cut off by the heinous Mr. Musk. For shame!

jimok's avatar

I was just thinking that with annual cost-of-living adjustments Don’s monthly SS check will be pretty impressive by the time he reaches 150. Maybe he won’t need a plan.

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: I say, stash the entire alloted funds for ages 150- and up in Harvey Weinstein's social security account and get it over with, because it's going to get stolen anyway once DOGE's back is turned.

Cookie McCall's avatar

I saw that article on CFP yesterday - good for Manchin landing a lucrative post congressional gig where he's going to make piles & piles of $$$, not that I'm a fan of his but I did appreciate how he was the occasional thorn in the side of the d's

Reddog's avatar

I think Manchin was closer to an Independent than the folks who caucus with the Dems and claim to be Independents. And Manchin was clearly a Dem.

Lawsy0's avatar

I'd be happy if SSA would send the check on a regular schedule "instead of messin' wif the calendar alla time!"

jimok's avatar

My SS benefit gets direct deposited on time every month. I’m not a big fan of SS, but your problem may be with the post office. Just sayin.

William Coulter's avatar

The media. It used to be most Americans not only followed the news they put out but believed what they said or printed.

Now, not so much. They suffer from TDS biggly.

They have run hard backing up the “Maryland father”so quickly without doing one iota of checking about this guy they now are backed into a corner supporting a foreign gang banger and the Dims are right there giving them nightly sound bites and visuals.

TDS is a beautiful thing to watch.

Reddog's avatar

Yeah there was a time in America that if someone said something on network news the implication was that it had to be true or they wouldn't say it. So was that ever true? More and more I realize we were told what they wanted us to believe.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

It was never true but we all believed. Rush was the first one to influence a mass audience to recognize and understand that the lying liars always lie. He repeatedly taught that if the Dems ever made the mistake of telling the masses what they really believed they could never get elected. Thus they always have to lie.

Reddog's avatar

Rush was correct. The real Dem party is not the one who is currently calling themselves that name. Im convinced they will come to an impasse and the party will splinter into two different political entities. There is no way back for them because the party has been coopted by the ultra left Marxist arm. No going back for them. The crazies are behind the wheel.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

I often wonder why or if a new party can’t form out of what could be considered the right side of the Dems and left side of the R’s. In other words the great middle of normal Americans

Wim de Vriend's avatar

Yes, how could they have missed that he had "M" "S" "1" "3" tattooed right on his fingers? I suppose we must accept that professional blindness is an affliction limited to the conventional Press. OR -- it may be a requirement for admission to the cult.

Brian LeMay's avatar

Agree , we as now think of the news same as we do the internet ; 50% BS at a minimum .

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: I'm waiting for the TDS media to report that this Maryland Father Of Our Country won the Medal of Honor in Vietnam, which this ungrateful nation now refuses to acknowledge.

Brian LeMay's avatar

Exactly ! When things aren't going their way Dims just tell another lie . They knew he was a gangbanger, they just have no regard for facts or truth .

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

The lies of St. George were wearing off and being forgotten so a new gang banger had to be sainted by the left

MartyB's avatar

Poll question answer: Natalie Winters. That girls is smarter and tougher than any of the so called mainstream news reporters, and way easier on the eyes than Steve Bannon’s right hand has any right to be. Oh, wait, he hired her for her mind and got the complete package.

As to 60 Minutes, i was forced to spend time - 5 minutes, but it seemed like forever - at someone’s house with a “poor Palestinians” piece running. I’m glad Shari Redstone is trying to stem the bleeding, but it oughta be too little too late. That show is an embarrassment to America, and it should cost the Communist Broadcasting System a couple of limbs to pay dearly for the propaganda they have spewed. “Meritless lawsuit” from Enemedia legal analysts sounds like a $20 billion lock for PDJT. Imagine trying to make Word Salad Harris look sentient, let alone presidential material.

Cookie McCall's avatar

Natalie Winters is good, but I'm also a big fan of Karoline Leavett and the classy way she handles those press morons

Suzie's avatar

She is a force to be reckoned with, and does not suffer fools…but in a most diplomatic way. Hah!

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: Leavett is awesome. It has been absolutely shocking to finally see an adult in charge of the WH press room.

MartyB's avatar

Karoline Leavett is very impressive, but she has a much different role to play as the WH spokesperson. Winters is an investigative reporter who sounds like she was bottle-fed by Steve Bannon and Raheem Kassam. I had forgotten about Ms. Leavett’s run for CONgress. She’s definitely one to watch too.

NNTX's avatar

She was a regular guest on War Room before she was hired by the Trump campaign. Bannon is good at spotting talent and giving them a chance to hone their craft.

MartyB's avatar

I remembered her appearances on War Room, but only after reviewing her bio. You are correct about Bannon - he has an eye and an ear for spotting talent. Say what you want about the man, but he’s been successful for a reason.

NNTX's avatar

Don't always agree with him but in broad strokes he is correct on the current political/economic situation. His brashness works for him and his audience moves the dial. Not to mention that he has paid with 4 months in prison for a ridiculous prosecution (misdemeanor upped to felony for extra punitive value). Numerous democrats have been spared the same treatment for the same offense.

Reddog's avatar

Last time I watched 60 Minutes was when they did the hit piece on Gen Westmoreland. He had his faults but he didn’t deserve that hit job. Haven't watched them since.

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: Shari Redstone could have shut the entire corrupt 60 Minutes Racket down a decade ago. Whatever she's doing today is utterly meaningless. Owens will be replaced with another Owens, only worse (if that's possible). The Mannhattan Hitlers are lined up six deep outside Redstone's door as we speak, seeking interviews.

Phil Hawkins's avatar

The decline of the media has been going on for years now. Martin Gurri published his ebook, "The Revolt of the Public" in 2014; an updated edition came out in hardback in 2017, which included Brexit and Trump's first election. And a major element in that book was that traditional media has lost control of the flow of information due to the Internet and social media. During Covid and Biden's term in office, the media and government tried to regain control; they have failed.

On coal--it still remains a vital part of our economy. It is still needed and used for making certain basic types of steel. Remember the term "carbon steel"? The carbon comes from coal. Before coal, they had to use charcoal, made from wood. And it is not going away, no matter what the enviro nutjobs think. It is part of my heritage: my maternal grandfather and two of my uncles worked in the coal mines in Kentucky. My mother was born at a coal mining camp near Hazard, KY in 1920. And I grew up singing Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons."

Don Surber's avatar

You realize there is a coal-fired plant across river in Poca. I can see it from my living room looking through the kitchen window

Doggie Dad's avatar

In MN about a third of our electricity is still produced by coal, though thanks to the Dems, that is down from more than half a generation ago. Problem for them is, brown or blackouts during a MN winter could be lethal and/or result in significant property damage, and they're just not prepared to take the political hit until they can game elections and the electorate to indemnify themselves from their moronic policies. Though lawmakers live in the state, they apparently don't understand that cheap, plentiful energy is what makes this state habitable.

Doggie Dad's avatar

It's not going away, but if the Democrats had their way we'd buy it—like almost everything else—from China instead of mining our own. Hypocrites that they are, American coal is somehow less green than coal that is mined by de-facto slaves.

Reddog's avatar

Coal is only a bad guy if you believe in manmade climate change.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

As to the media, they must think of the Cronkite-Huntley-Brinkley era as a lost Nirvana. You know, with a nationwide audience absorbing, without reflection, "And this is the way it is ..."

Don Reed's avatar

04/24/25: An impregnable three-network monopoly, with next-to-zero ability to challenge their propaganda. Then along came Cable...

Jim Murray's avatar

Modern coal fired plants are fueled by coal that is crushed into a fine powder then injected into furnaces under high pressure. The powder explodes upon exposure to the combustion chamber, creating efficient energy and inconsequential residue which is scrubbed with filters. Virtually nothing but purified steam is emitted into the atmosphere. If confronted with a demand for proof of "dirty coal" Lefties can only point to American coal plants of 50 years ago and China today. The American environmentalists, aka anti-capitalists, shouting about dirty coal have substantial financial backing from pro-China Lefty sources and coal producers in countries like Australia. *** Cut through the bs. Owens is out at 60 Minutes of Propaganda because he caused CBS to get sued and investigated. no less. No more. End of story.

Aaron Jones's avatar

Most "green" initiatives are funded by our geo-political adversaries; Russia, China, Soros types that want the west devalued so their REAL oligarch's can then come into the west through western cut-outs and buy up our fire-sale mechanicals, residential, and commercial, farmland & then lease it back to us in a serf-like manner. THAT's their goal.

William Buffet specializes in the fire-sale purchases of distressed businesses as do private equity firms like BlackRock, Bain, etc.

I wonder if these a-holes would beg for a gov't bailout if their property buying schemes suffered a collapse in real estate value?

Brian LeMay's avatar

These people / organizations are vultures ; their actions rarely produce any benefit to our communities .

RevMikeyMac's avatar

Did you mean WARREN Buffet?

Reddog's avatar

A countrys citizens are only controlled when you keep them poor, and uneducated. This thirst for control by Dems has been going on for a very long time. Most people if being objective can look at Dem ideology and see it is hollow. Thats why they have gone farther and farther left today. They have nowhere else to go.

Wyoming Coal- I am a WYO grad; a Cowboy; from New Jersey originally. I re-visit WYO every year just to drive around, maybe go to a football game in Laramie, and visit my few remaining friends. A few years ago a buddy of mine and I drove to the train tracks in SE Wyoming to look at the coal trains. Trust me on this one... you don't want to be anywhere near those things. The coal cars are FREAKING HUGE... and those trains are powerful. It was outstanding watching and feeling them roll by on their way East. The ground rumbles. WYO rules !!!! Still the least populated state in the Union. GO POKES !!

Cookie McCall's avatar

those trains are really LONG too, like more then a mile long. We've watched many go rolling along on some of our driving trips West

Shoveltusker's avatar

Those trains sometimes come through my railroad town in central Iowa.

CBS is the private version of PBS and NPR and has been for years. Time for it to be defunded by no one watching.

As a young adult starting my career around 1980, I remember mom and dad watching Cronkite, Huntley & Brinkley, Smith, etc. There were some tough issues but one thing that stuck with me was 'Nixon Derangement Syndrome'. All three news channels formed a united front to discredit and eradicate Nixon when I was in high school. Downstream of that it seemed like the country was on a death spiral based on reporting. Then Reagan got elected and I felt a glimmer of hope. Naturally, the news posse went after Republican Reagan. I felt again how can things be trending so nonsensical and how can the country survive, Then I read a story in National Review (loved Buckley) about this guy, Rush Limbaugh. I found him on our local radio and listened every opportunity. I thought how can this guy be so right about so much. Naturally every media outlet hated him and the truth he was 'spewing'. Since then internet alternate media has given many others ability to overcome slanted/total lies reporting. Recently, an internet Paul Revere (the BS is coming) has taken a machete to legacy media by purchasing X. It seems like there may be light at the end of the tunnel now, I hope its not another Locomotive. (PS, sorry this is long)

Aaron Jones's avatar

CBS failed to protect Sharyl Attkisson when 0bama & Co bugged her home, phone, computers and life for getting too factual about DOJ Eric Holder's Fast & Furious gun smuggling op to Mexican drug cartels getting at least one Border Agent, Bryan Terry killed.

The collective reporting of 'multiple news sources are reporting' claiming 'sources close to the Sec Def' is a noticeable pattern that reads just like the fake Trump/Russia! collusion story. The only collusion has been between democrats and their multiple media outlets to ALL drop similar stories at the same time to make it look like "independent" news entities all made similar discoveries. All done to undermine the Trump Admin and get a scalp via-Pete Hegseth.

When Katlin Collins was on with CBS' Colbert Late Night, Colbert asked Collins about CNN's credibility which generated a laugh line from the audience before Collins could answer. Colbert & Collins heard the laughter too and blamed the stage manager for flashing the "laugh" prompter too quickly.

They don't care.

Rush Limbaugh always noted that news divisions like FNC being profitable caused rage with the marxists at CBSNBCABCPBSCNNNPRNYT, WaPo who all floundered in virtue signaling that a loss-leading news division was a public service, not a profit center.

They collectively attack FNC. FNC has even slid left but, it will never be left enough for the marxists.

We could go on...and on...

Brian LeMay's avatar

Yeah , get a good seat when Rupert's heirs get their hands on FNC . They have no idea who their customer base is , it will sink quicker than the Titanic .

PM's avatar

Shari Redstone, the velvet glove behind 60 Minutes revival. The days of Walter Cronkite, where, whatever it is, people believed in the truth, people really crave the information they need to be independent and make their own judgments. That’s what freedom of speech is,

You can’t hate the MSM enough. John Nolte reminds me: No matter how much you might try to hate the corporate media, it will never equal half as much as they hate you.

RevMikeyMac's avatar

Your last sentence is priceless. Truth.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Cronkite was the first great liar.

Alan's avatar

There's an audio of Owens telling the 60 Minutes staff why he quit. His remarks, followed by Lesley Stahl's and some other dude's, are (unintentionally) hilarious. Those folks truly live in an alternate universe. CBS is just a boutique echo chamber for the elites of the totally deranged left. There's a reason TV talking heads are shown from the shoulders up. Their arms are gnarled and twisted from patting themselves on the back.

Suzie's avatar

I would love it if someone went and secretly taped them at their cocktail parties interacting with one another, to expose how and what they talk to each other while all living in that same rarified air bubble.

I’ll bet it would be the most hilariously outrageous video ever!!

Alan's avatar

And the shortest. After watching and first two or three couples do their air kisses, you’ve seen and heard it all.

“You look mahvelous, darling,” then followed by some riff on saving our democracy by “jailing that horrible Nazi in the White House and concentration camps for his country bumpkin worshippers. Did Whitney get accepted to Yale? The contributions to secure a legacy spot are absolutely atrocious these days because of those vulgar little Asians.”

Dutchmn007's avatar

Poll is in error - not Scott Pressler but Kaitlan Collins & Dylan Mulvaney ARE THE SAME PERSON!!!! There’s not a dime’s difference between the two! My hunch is Kaitlan Collins has been moonlighting as “Dylan Mulvaney” for reasons best known to (her/him?)self. It’s her/him(?)’s alter ego. Some sort of performance art there; not sure as I’m not a psychologist/shrink.

“60 Minutes” has been pure BS “progressive” propaganda for decades. Past-her-sell-by-date Less-than Stahl-wart has been nothing more than a “progressive” shill who claimed - with a straight face mind you - to Trump that the Hunter laptop “couldn’t be verified”. It “couldn’t be verified” Leslie because you - nor any other flying monkey in the See BS pen - wanted to verify it. You ran from that laptop like Superman would from kryptonite.

These so-called “journalists” are a joke & an embarrassment to the concept of fairness.

Fill in the grave already.

Don Surber's avatar

Have you ever seen a picture of Scott and Kaitlan' together?

I thought not.

Shoveltusker's avatar

Kaitlyn Collins is FAR more manly than Dylan Mulvaney.

Collins looks like Pete Hegseth after a few hours at the day spa, sporting a really nice wig and a great makeup job.

Brian LeMay's avatar

Great point , our jurists have the same problem . They to want to do the " right thing " ; in a moral , fair and legal manner .

Shrugged's avatar

Kaitlan Collins has an odd look, which explains the poll today. She looks like a transgender woman. There's a man behind that smirky smile

Wim de Vriend's avatar

That has occurred to me too, but I thought that very trait qualified her for starring in horror-movies.

Shrugged's avatar

Her main-stream reporting IS a horror movie so I guess you are right about that.

Suzie's avatar

“ CNN: “Are you a real journalist?”

What he was actually asking was “are you a REAL journalist?”

meant to infer, as George Carlin once put it, “it’s a club, and you’re not in it.”

What purports you be a “journalist” today is not someone who knows how to report the facts, but rather someone who is skilled in twisting and torturing them beyond recognition in order to come to a preordained conclusion. Facts be damned.

Todays so-called journalists are nothing more than an army of Leftist-talking points propaganda drones, all programmed to produce a pre-packaged product.

For them, the truth does not compute and may cause their circuitry to go haywire.

They need to come with warning label.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

Ah, but you forget that they always support their "news" by quoting experts who insist on remaining unidentified.

Suzie's avatar

Oh for sure! And all those “unnamed sources” who are more than likely just the guy in the next cubicle or even their editors, who tell them, “hey, write this!”

It would be funny if it weren’t so destructive.
