Conservatives wonder why Hollywood no longer makes original, family-friendly TV shows and movies. The reason is the writing talent today is so thin that the movie and TV studios are reduced to playing to the LGBT crowd or taking old movies and slapping POC faces on the characters. Sometimes both. Audiences are bored by it. They want to be entertained, not indoctrinated.

Fox began the year with a story, “Go Woke, Go Broke? Liberal movies, books, TV that bombed in 2022.

“Disney's Lightyear, Strange World and Bros among 2022’s flops.”

The story said, “Disney's first animated film with an openly LGBT character Strange World, tanked at the box office last month. The film had a whopping $180 million budget but only took in $24 million when it opened during the Thanksgiving holiday week, according to Variety. Pixar's latest installment in the popular Toy Story franchise, Lightyear, failed to meet expectations, earning $51 million at the box office. The family-friendly series owned by Disney attracted headlines for having a same-sex kiss.

“Another film focused on LGBT characters, Bros, didn't move the needle at the box office, either. Star Billy Eichner furiously warned homophobes on Twitter to not come see the movie. It grossed $14.8 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. The New York Times suggested homophobia could be the reason the gay romantic comedy was unsuccessful.”

That did not stop HBO from unleashing Velma on the world, a remake of Scooby-Doo. In this one, Velma is a bisexual South Asian. Daphne is an East Asian with two mothers. Shaggy is biracial. The show has a score of 6% at Rotten Tomatoes.

America’s entertainment industry ran out of juice a long time ago. It started with the actors. Once, communist Henry Fonda was interchangeable with his best friend Jimmy Stewart, a staunch conservative. Now Hollywood stars are all liberal. They have to be in order to survive. It is like an actress having to sleep with Harvey Weinstein to get an Oscar-worthy role.

But actors do not matter. Writers do. (Did you expect me to say anything else?) All the good ones have gone east, young man, to Washington where they spin the news into golden narratives for the DNC. The media sells it and you live the role.

DNC fabricators are good. They spun a spy balloon from Red China as being nothing unusual. Their boy at the Pentagon said, “The balloon is currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground. Instances of this kind of balloon activity have been observed previously over the past several years. Once the balloon was detected, the U.S. government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information.”

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Once the Red Chinese accomplished their mission, the military blew it up — and Democrats congratulated the president. (“Jill Biden praises Joe for decision to shoot down Chinese air balloon and described her pride in military for taking it down over open water.”) Because they call the song racist, Democrats eschewed playing The Star-Spangled Banner in celebration. They should have played Smoke On The Water. Better opening riff.

Finally, the DNC blatantly lied and said Red China sent balloons over the USA when Donald Trump was president. The press went with that story. Only a few conservative outlets, such as the Boston Herald, carried his denial: “It never happened with us under the Trump administration and if it did, we would have shot it down immediately.”

Did I say DNC spin-writers are good? They’re grrrrrrrrrrreat! Look at how their spin on Hunter Biden’s laptop and its evidence of multiple felonies. In their fantasy, Hunter is not the betrayer of the nation but a victim of property theft and invasion of privacy. New York magazine was among the first to peddle this fiction to its readers in a September 12, 2022, story by Andrew Rice and Olivia Nuzzi.

They wrote, “Now imagine that you are both the son of a man running for president and a lawyer and lobbyist accustomed to mixing with powerful people and doing business overseas premised on your proximity to those powerful people, and that you are in the throes of a divorce and a midlife catastrophe brought on by the early death of your older brother and that, in your distortion field of grief, on a hell-bent drug-and-alcohol binge, you have been making even more horrible choices, taking up with your brother’s widow and, while in considerable financial debt, hiring prostitutes and zoning out with camgirls and staying awake for days at a time on crack cocaine and generally hurting everyone in your life who is trying to help you with your cruel and idiotic behavior.”

That poor man.

And they wrote, “Imagine revealing this kaleidoscopic archive of all your different selves to anyone else. Now imagine it’s not just anyone but the same political opposition that has already sought to destroy your father’s candidacy by improperly pressuring a foreign leader to offer up dirt about your (sketchy, for sure) business dealings. Imagine, in a country with toxic and broken politics, how explosive this collection of data might appear to your enemies in the days leading up to a presidential election, and how valuable it might become after their defeat, as they seek to overturn and then undermine the results. For the sake of simplicity, let’s call this nebulous cloud of data a laptop.”

How dare the media — well, just the New York Post — report on his felonies. Leave the crackhead and his “(sketchy, for sure) business dealings” alone. The man needs his privacy as he smokes his crackpipe and hits on his brother’s widow.

Then came the Aha! moment in this script.

Rice and Nuzzi wrote, “The first thing you need to understand about the Hunter Biden laptop, though, is that it’s not a laptop. The FBI reportedly took possession of the original — at least if you accept the version of events promoted by those who have distributed the data, which Hunter Biden and his lawyers don’t — and all we have now are copies of copies.”

Well if a Democrat’s lawyers say it isn’t so, then the American press says it isn’t so.

The magazine writers wrote, “When it first publicly surfaced, 20 days before the 2020 election, the authenticity of the material was doubted to the degree that Twitter and Facebook effectively banned the story from legitimate political discourse.”

Twitter and Facebook were protecting the voting public from a story that maybe just was not true. Maybe.

Rice and Nuzzi wrote, “Since then, mainstream news organizations, including the New York Times and the Washington Post, have come to verify that at least some of the information contained in the cache is authentic.”

They admitted some of the information is authentic — unlike the Russian Dossier which is all cow pies, but media-approved cow pies.

The magazine writers said, “It is hard to think of a single living individual who has experienced as total an annihilation of digital privacy since our devices became extensions of our consciousness.”

Oh how mean we have been to him.

Maybe he should not have taken bribes. Maybe he should not put stuff on his laptop that foreign countries could use as blackmail. Maybe he should not abandon his laptop at a computer repair shop. Making a big deal about his corruption and seedy lifestyle is so unfair.

But the only fair that matters in politics is the Iowa State Fair, and demoting the Iowa Caucuses to an afterthought will make that fair matter even less.

The real story is the FBI sat on the laptop and did nothing because Attorney General Bill Barr is a RINO who did not want to risk President Trump’s re-election by exposing a multi-million-dollar criminal operation involving foreign bribes, cocaine and hookers.

As we learned later from the Twitter files, Barr’s FBI paid Twitter and Facebook to quash the New York Post story.

On February 1, CNN reported, “Attorneys for Hunter Biden on Wednesday asked state and federal agencies to investigate a computer repair shop owner, Rudy Giuliani and number of right-wing political figures involved in disseminating contents of his laptop, alleging that they committed computer and other criminal violations in their effort to ‘weaponize’ the laptop contents against his father.

“The allegations — made in letters to the Delaware attorney general, the Justice Department’s National Security Division and the IRS — mark the first time President Joe Biden’s son and his legal team have publicly acknowledged that it was his personal data purported to be found on a laptop left at the Delaware repair shop. However, his legal team said their new outreach does not amount to confirmation of the laptop narrative that has been circulated on the right.

“The letters signal a distinct change in strategy by Hunter Biden after bringing on new lawyers to help defend him against an onslaught of attacks from Republicans, who have sought to use his personal struggles with drugs and congressional probes of his business dealings to attack the president. Hunter Biden also faces an ongoing federal criminal investigation that is focused on tax and other issues.”

So to CNN, facts about the laptop are still only a “narrative that has been circulated on the right,” even though at the same time right-wingers are “disseminating contents of his laptop.” If the narrative is false — if the stories about the laptop are untrue — how could that be committing “computer and other criminal violations”?

The DNC needs someone checking the continuity of its scripts.

What CNN missed is the change in strategy came just as a lawyer tracked Hunter Biden down to serve him papers in a defamation lawsuit.

On February 2, 2023, the New York Post reported, “Hunter Biden was served with a defamation lawsuit by John Paul Mac Isaac last week, five days before the disgraced first son sought his own legal action against the former computer repair shop owner who came into possession of the infamous ‘laptop from hell.’

“A private investigator hired by Mac Isaac tracked down Hunter in Culver City, California, on January 27 to serve him with the lawsuit, which seeks damages of $1.5 million from the president’s son.”

So, only after being served with a lawsuit did Hunter admit the laptop was his. That reminds me that it was only after the court ruled on his daughter’s paternity that Hunter admitted he was her father. This reflects the pampered life of a privileged and perpetually adolescent man — now in his 50s — who has never been held accountable for his many, many crimes. In case you hadn’t noticed, possessing cocaine is a felony.

But leave it to Biden to use the lawsuit as another opportunity to pocket money.

NBC reported on January 31, 2023, four days after he was served, “Allies of President Joe Biden and his son, along with some outside groups, have raised the prospect of a legal defense fund to support Hunter Biden and others as they respond to Republican-led congressional investigations, according to three people involved in the discussions.

“The potential legal effort, first reported Tuesday by the Washington Post, could total more than $10 million, these people told NBC News.”

It is just another revenue stream for the Biden Crime Family. That $10 million will buy favors from the federal government worth far more for donors.

The media sides with Hunter in his claim that he is being picked on. Sinclair Broadcast Group’s The National Desk news show reported on Wednesday, “Spotlight hotter than ever for children of high-profile politicians.”

The story said, “Family members of high-profile politicians are under a hotter spotlight than ever before.

“President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is under federal investigation over his taxes and business activity.

“House Republicans are also launching investigations into the Biden family dealings.

“Republican Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said in a statement on the Biden investigation that ‘oversight and accountability are coming. For years, the Biden family peddled influence and access around the world for profit, often at the expense of our nation’s interests. The American people must know the extent of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s shady business deals and if these deals threaten national security and his decision-making as president.’”

Despicable. A fake conservative TV show is promoting the DNC script that says Hunter is being picked on. If only those people wrote screenplays, we would be singing Hooray for Hollywood again.

Miranda Devine broke the laptop story for the New York Post more than two years ago. The scandal went nowhere until Republicans finally and barely won the House.

You know what would be a great reboot for Hollywood about now? All the President’s Men. But instead of focusing on two male reporters — played by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman — the reporter would be a woman. Not just any woman, but a bound-and-determined Australian one. Nicole Kidman could play the lead.

Sure.

Call it All the President’s Son.

But who would write the script? Screenwriters in the 21st century are either on the Democrat payroll or pitching a show about a Southeast Asian pansexual detective named Sherlock and his triracial sidekick, Dr. Watson.
