One of the greatest things about our President is that he proves time and again that “common wisdom” and the purveyors of that “wisdom” namely the Marxist/Democrat/Hate America Party, the media, and never Trumpers are Luddite’s and idiots. His ability to think “outside the box” is truly phenomenal and we and the rest of the world are the direct beneficiaries!

Playswithneedles's avatar

It also proves that a businessman is far better equipped to run this country than any politician. We should keep that in mind for the future.

LuAnn's avatar

Yes to that, Plays.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

This is all well & good but still allowing stupid people - jacka$$e$, Marxists, communists, socialists, fascists, anarchists & terrorists - to vote will always elect another Clinton, Dumbo & Briben because the GOP-e can’t, or won’t, articulate a positive message.

Trump is perpetual motion while the Deep State, Hate America GOP-e is comatose.

Purge Murkowski, Collins, Ernst & everyone else who sides with leftist, Marxist jacka$$ terrorists.

LuAnn's avatar

There needs to be a complete overhaul of the Rs and R candidates to get rid of the RINOs and closet Dems.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

You’ll get no argument from me, LuAnn. Far too many milquetoast RINO’s & moderates for me.

We need conservative fighters!

You are right to the degree that Trump being a singular & unique force of nature his/our window of opportunity appears to be brief & narrow against a huge & entrenched blob of incompetence. But elimination is the rabbit hole that the “left” always goes down until there is no one ‘left’ to eliminate. Light does not destroy darkness, it just shows darkness doesn’t exist.

Grumpy Oldman's avatar

bright sunlight is the greatest disinfectant, Sheila.

the jacka$$ party always conspires under cover of darkness. it’s also the best time to eliminate ‘RATS.

Yes, evidenced by his use of tariffs to first the end of wars between nations before they can even sniff a trade deal. Ending the killing will define this man's legacy. Trade is the good and friendly weapon that is the greatest weapon the USA has and has never in my lifetime (85 yrs and counting) been used more effectively for peace. Thank you DJT.

07/28/25: I just stopped by to say that watching the Simpson's lunch lady, Useless-ula Von Wie Heißt Sie Auf, in the Trump video started my week off perfectly. Thank you!

LuAnn's avatar

Trump does think outside the box but he also has a lot of common sense, which has clearly eroded over time in many people.

Ross's avatar

Common sense is based upon what people sense in common, that is the real world around us, that we perceive through our God given senses. On the other hand, ideologues live in the fantasyland of their imaginations, counting unicorns. Looking at you, socialists, Marxists, rabid feminists, trans bullies and other assorted deranged entities.

Jim Bowman's avatar

He's a smarty, for sure.

The most beneficial long-term aspect of the trade agreements is opening markets that were previously closed to America. Beef and agricultural products can now be sold in Australia, the EU (28 countries), Japan, and the Philippines, where we previously had no sales. Cars and trucks also may be sold into these foreign markets. Globally, trade has undergone a reset, providing a significant huge boost to American exports and prosperity. I'm not sure if anyone is ready to estimate the value of the new trade internationally, but it's substantial.

TWA was a good choice. If I can't get "All of the Above", this will work. I get completely miffed over the media who, literally, nitpicks everything because they can't stand that he, again literally, is kicking a** and taking names. We finally have someone who understands money - that which makes the world work - and knows how to wield the power of this great nation for the benefit of its people. God bless President Trump and the United States of America.

donald b welch's avatar

there's no question tariffs can be a mixed bag but anyone with the iq of maxine waters should be able to figure out that trump (always the facilitator of deals for those willing to come to the negotiating table) has a much better grasp on the issues than msm and the lying duplicitous democrats want to try to make you believe. if trump says "100% tariffs" he means 15% if you get your lazy ars to the table. his track record is clear and straight forward. going on fifty years now.

i stand with trump....all the way!

sorry DBW, you're overestimating Maxine Waters iq

The so-called “economic order” the world has operated under for the last 80 years has always been a rigged game, with the US as its biggest loser. While nearly every single country in the world has sucked the very life out of the US the tables are now being turned. No more being played for a sucker.

That means we will now receive, what’s that expression the Left loves to toss around? Oh yeah - “our fair share.”

It also means those countries who used our largesse largely to enable them to set up their little socialist utopias are going to have to face the music of their own misguided and ruinous economic policies, and actually start to work for a living. No more one-sided trade imbalances, and no more USAID money flowing out from our treasury to fund all their communist fantasies, and fascistic policies. They’re going to have to stand up on their own feet for literally the first time since the end of WWII.

The reckoning that is occurring here, the end of DEI, trans-insanity, green schemes, and energy suppression are all being reversed and coming to their ignominious ends, and is now landing squarely upon their shores. It all will have to be confronted there, just as it is being done here if they want to stand a chance at survival.

But the biggest gorilla in the room, the massive immigration they’ve allowed for nearly 10 years, will now have to be confronted in all their respective nations, if it’s not too late already. That effort will require enormous political courage and bravery to execute, such as we have witnessed in our President. Is there a single leader in the EU who is able to muster that same courage to do what needs to be done? That is the question. For without implementing a massive “remigration” program, (which they like to call it), their countries don’t stand a chance.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

You have to consider that in the years immediately after WWII, European countries were devastated and desperate. Hence the Marshall plan, and American tolerance of imports, as ways to restore them to normalcy. But like a lot of government programs and agencies and initiatives, those policies acquired a kind of holy halo, never questioned by anybody -- until a true force of nature identified as DJT overturned the tables of the money changers.

Suzie's avatar

It was also not a coincidence that at the end of the war there was an insurgence of all sorts of “international” organizations, like the WTO and the UN, in order to ramp up their schemes and dreams of wealth redistribution, no borders, etc. etc.

The One World Order crowd is experiencing death by a thousand cuts courtesy of President Trump.

Many ways to skin cats. Trump has a tool bag full.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

Yes, and all that amounted to a huge contradiction: Just having been liberated from the forces of a totalitarian, overwhelming government, Europe chose more government ...

LuAnn's avatar

Could the reason have been they were exhausted from war and conflict?

Wim de Vriend's avatar

I might add that in 1962 I was offered a summer job as a receptionist at the OECD in Paris. The OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) was yet another international organization created by the Europeans, and officially my job was to check the ID of everyone who entered the building. But on my first day I was told not to do that, because it would irritate the bureaucrats. So I sat there, sometimes with a second summer-receptionist who was French, which alleviated the boredom because he taught me French songs, and chess; the former was successful, the latter was not.

But the point is, just like our federal government, that outfit was clearly created to provide employment for a lot of people who did nothing very essential ... And then one day when we had left on some errand because sitting around was so pointless, we came back to a furious note from the Chief Receptionist: "Pourquoi n-y-a-t-il personne?" Why is nobody here? As if our absence might have brought the world to a dismal end ...

Wim de Vriend's avatar

No doubt they were, and poor besides --- which created a craving for plausible solutions. But from a long-term perspective, their choices don't seem to have been very sensible.

Jim Nelson's avatar

Those of us who get it are "smiling" today. Those out there who do not get it (like Jessica, the DEM on The Five) look for a poll that matches what she believes while she ignores the other 99 out of 100 polls which reflect what America is really thinking. Another glorious start to a week compliments of our hard working President.

Suzie's avatar

I am praying that with the Russia hoax and all its sordid tentacles now being exposed and investigated, that the true fear of God is now coursing through the veins of the complicit media.

Perpetrating that conspiracy upon this country would not have been possible without their having aided and abetted it as feverishly as they did.

They need a reckoning and I am praying they get one, good and hard, every bit as much as all the co-conspirators themselves.

Subvet's avatar

I aslo pray for this. It really needs to happen and PDJT is the guy who can pull it off.

I wonder if that nitwit will get to a point where she gets so embarrassed and lambasted by both sides that she'll wind up leaving - like Alan Colmes did after getting destroyed night after night by Hannity.

AZCACTUSPETE's avatar

I expect her to just "up and leave" someday or move from the dark side to the light. The money must just be tooooooo good. So she hangs in there. Tough job she has; four vs one and two of them who simply shout her down all the time. She must down a lot of Excedrin.

Jake's avatar

I don't care for her either but her role is to liven up the show with the fireworks and she doesn't disappoint. Fox only has one dem on the panel for a reason. She earns her money every day. Gutfeld and Jesse are merciless.

LuAnn's avatar

I prefer Harold as the panel's lefty.

Jake's avatar

Everybody does but he's a mostly old school dem. He thinks a little bit. Tarloff is new woke so you get the current view of the radicals.

Liberty Belle's avatar

Jesse seems to just use her as a punching bag which I find tiresome; wish he would stop. When Gutfeld goes after her it usually is issue related. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated his letting her have it when she tried to move past Obama and the Russia hoax issue by saying it was simply deflection from the Epstein problem on the part of the GOP (more projection). Greg made solid points passionately and didn’t let her get away with it.

Regardless, The Left has used conservatives as punching bags on many shows for years, so I feel no sorrow for her or anyone else willing to be paid for it. And I don’t miss Juan Williams who should have seen the conservative light after getting canned by NPR for giving his opinion.

In full disclosure, I don’t watch the program except when I’m with my parents. What I view at home (no cable) is usually from CFP links.

AZCACTUSPETE's avatar

"In Your Face Harold" is really good. Even Gutfeld said he would vote for him if he ran for Prez.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

She will join Geraldo in the Bowery.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

You have to remember that she's the only incurable leftist on the FIVE. And her predictable contrarianism, plus a voice reminiscent of Donald Duck's, qualify her for the same job previously reserved for European kings' Court Jesters.

LuAnn's avatar

No, she won't. Tarlov likes the contract she has from Fox.

Far out! Meanwhile up here in Canada we’re just whistling Dixie, and waiting for the inevitable.

What’s inevitable you ask.

At least half the country wants and dreams of annexation, the sweeping out of the chynese influence, the elimination of the commies, the cartels, the illegal immigrantion fiasco and after the last 10 years, the social stabilization.

Considering the effect and the cost, to you, finanacially, from the military and security perspective and in human lives lost to the drugs sent down there, that this has had on your own country, I’d think you’d want it too!

Stephen Wolf's avatar

We do not want more Democrat/Socialists' attached to America. They can wallow in their misery until people rise up and end it on their own. America will not save them because we have enough of the same people to deal with already.

Aside to this-how many people have you ever heard going to Canada for health care? Crickets-Right.

Chuck Goldman's avatar

Well Steve, you’d be right if we were going to be converted abra cadabra like into a state over night but my guess is that we’d go through the territory phase first and even then it would be 20 years at the very least and by that all the socialists and commies would be dead.

And the health care thing is a mess that’s true, but I just had my knee replaced. I had to wait a bit, (4mo) but the total cost to me including follow-up was $0.00. How much where you are?

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

My 80 + sister had hers dome at 0 cost to her .

LuAnn's avatar

Chuck, I've been visiting old friends in Ontario and I am half to a third of the "Canadian" they are. Some of my friends truly believe that Trump is going to send in the U.S. Army and make us the 51st state. I almost got baited into a Trump argument by asking, not innocently, you don't really believe that Canada will become the 51st state do you? A lot of Canadians take Trump literally but not seriously, whereas I take him seriously but not literally. Thanks, Salena Zito! Much of Canada is infected with TDS. The folks I was visiting, of course, voted for the Liberals and Mark Carney yet they and all my other friend in the rest of Canada complain about immigration. Canada is very insecure about living next door to the U.S.

Chuck Goldman's avatar

Literally or seriously he has mentioned over 10times and never said he was joking!

EODMom's avatar

Isn’t the “payment” part of the arrangement kind of like getting a judgement against a bankrupt company? How do you get a bankrupt Europe to invest in the US when they can’t bear to invest in their own economy. And how will we enforce the LNG component? You cannot trust those EUROcrats.

I am however very very glad to see the US treating so- called allies as adults, not dependent children.

CactusMatt32's avatar

Well someone blew up that new German-direct-to Russia pipeline, so they gotta get their LNG from somewhere, and Trump made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. Also if they don’t want to use EU labor to build anything, rather than investing in cheap slave labor Chyna, they can build energy intensive projects in the US and reap additional benefits from investments here to export back home, like Japanese have done and will do even more. Gotta love PDJT47 even more than ‘45!!!

Wim de Vriend's avatar

We in the US have been blessed by the presence of abundant, cheap natural gas, which can not only be exported to Europe as LNG from recently-built terminals in Gulf of America states, but can also be turned into fertilizer and other important chemicals. This is why it shouldn't take much persuasion for certain overseas industries to move to this country ... industries that lack that advantage on their home turf.

CactusMatt32's avatar

Some of our friends in the Dallas-FtWorth area have mineral rights & would love to sell NatGas at $4, or $6 an mcf to Europe - a good deal for sellers and EU/UK buyers. US domestic consumers of natgas would see upward prices though, but l/t contracts would be beneficial. Electric demand from AI and server farms will really have a political impact if politicians don't watch it - that'll drive up Everyone's price of electrictiy in US, so would see voters upset over that and want AI/Server farms to generate their own green nuclear or non-green natgas/coal electricty....

Suzie's avatar

For sure! AI seems more of a threat to me, than a blessing.

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/07/meta-power.php

Tom Paquelet's avatar

Energy policy in Europe, especially Germany, is driving industry out and much of that manufacturing will move to the US with it's sane "drill baby drill" and more nuclear power plants.

Suzie's avatar

Back when Trump announced his Tariffs agenda the major Pharmaceutical companies all based in Europe, and one their chief economic industries, called a special session at the EU Commission, threatening to pack up and leave for the US if they didn’t make a deal.

Sure that had quite a bit of influence on Ms. Von derDevil.

Robert J Shade's avatar

Trump blabs almost uncontrollably, repetitively, and in unpredictable directions, with what could be called diarrhea of the mouth. And often steps all over the the message he's trying to get out, giving the press a chance to blast and ridicule him. However, the guy actually tries to keep his campaign promises and damn well achieves most of it---a breath of fresh air. In literature, he would be called an "imperfect vessel." But I'll take him over any other political leader I've seen since Ronald Reagan.

NNTX's avatar

It is his signature "weave".

My observation is that there is method to what he says, mentions and discusses. Trump has different voices for different audiences. Penetrating the miasma of the MSM takes one voice, speaking to, let's say, The Economic Club of (insert city here) a different approach.

Ok, look out for those in Congress who are licking their chops trying to figure out how to get access to any and all of those funds. That money needs to be used solely for debt reduction.

Since WW2 the USA has been rich Grandad to the world. The result is 30+ trillion debt and rising. Time to take Grandads checkbook.

While hoisting the flag, its time to 'keel haul' some of our previous leaders, who allowed the 80 year raid on the treasury.

DOGE builds AI tool to cut 50 percent of federal regulations. The U.S. DOGE Service is using a new artificial intelligence tool to slash federal regulations, with the goal of eliminating half of Washington’s regulatory mandates by the first anniversary of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post. The tool, called the “DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool,” is supposed to analyze roughly 200,000 federal regulations. Wow, a trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon it adds up. Balanced budget by 2028. DJT will leave a very high bar for #48.

Trump didn't win, America won. President Trump won't pocket anything from this deal, he doesn't need to. His goal is to leave this nation, and most of the planet better off when he hands the reins over in January 2029.

We all know that Zhou would have pocketed 10% and his son likely would have swindled a lot more.

The losers for the weekend are the money changers who want to trim the population. Every time Trump negotiates a peace deal, I picture Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates exclaiming "curses, foiled again".

Jim Nelson's avatar

Maybe it's time to change the term MAGA the future tense of Make America Great Again to the present tense of Made America Great Again. The winning just doesn't stop.

Jeremy R's avatar

Trump has 3 1/2 years to go before he takes his victory lap. I can't begin to imagine what he has in store for us between now and January 2029.

By that point he very well may have made 2/3 of the world great again. The list of losers will include, China, Russia, Iran, and Davos Switzerland.

Cookie McCall's avatar

I for one am not yet tired of winning! Keep it up, Mr. President!
