Just for giggles, I looked up what is required to migrate to France. This is just the first paragraph: “To immigrate to France, you generally need to apply for a long-stay visa from your home country, then a French residence permit (carte de séjour) after arrival. Key requirements for both the visa and residency include proving financial stability, showing a place to live, and having health insurance. You will need to identify your reason for moving (work, study, family, etc.) to determine the correct visa type.” But but but…

The "Newsweak" headline reinforces my assertion, "All media is entertainment."

The business model is attracting eyeballs/viewers for advertising revenue based on audience size. Any actual news or "news" reported is incidental and accidental. The Achilles heel of this business model is that it is essentially not self-correcting as Barri Weiss and David Ellison will be learning at CBS. (The CBS market share/audience is not significantly different than that at ABC, NBC or FOX. The distinction is the bragging rights for being #1.)

Expand full comment
Wim de Vriend's avatar

The way I understand it, he took advantage of the Jews being deported to the death camps by buying up their possessions at rock-bottom prices. You can see how that was a natural preparation for the currency speculation that made him rich later on. In fairness, I suppose we may mention that he was only a teenager in WWII, but his sorry-ass excuse was that if he had not done it, somebody else would have, anyway ... which also raises the question: how did HE and his family escape the Nazi dragnet?

Not to put too fine a point on it, Uganda was known during colonial times as the pearl in the British crown. Expand full comment
TeaPartyGal's avatar

Yes. It almost seems like with some of the more absurd positions he's taking, that he's trying to send a message, so we would know he is under duress--that we would know he would NEVER normally take those positions. And for Candace, her erratic emotions may be her way of trying to signal she's under outside duress.

Pure speculation of course, but the Democratic party is indeed collapsing in front of our eyes, and the Deep State is taking mortal wounds, and we probably would be naive if we didn't think they were going very hard and ruthless after people on our side. I used to wonder that about Mitt Romney, too. It would be a very hard choice, your loved one, or say something publicly you don't believe. I don't think our system is very good at protecting people under that kind of duress. Tucker may be under such tight surveillance he can't even get a private word out asking for help.

We've got Kash Patel and Dan Bongino at FBI, and remember a few months ago Bongino was saying he is shocked--he emphasized, SHOCKED--at something he had just seen/become aware of, but he never came out and said what it was. Trump's inner circle may know exactly what's going on, but is treading carefully to figure a way to safely extract people from such situations. Big things may be going on behind the scenes.

Our role--be patient, stay steady, and pray for them all!
