It was exhilarating watching DJT bitch slapping the idiotic evil Marxist democrats!

Suzie's avatar

When Trump challenged lawmakers to stand if they agreed that "the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens." Republicans stood and applauded, but most Democrats remained seated.

That moment should go down in infamy for the entire Democrat party, and replayed over and over again during this campaign season.

Skinnydip's avatar

Exactly. I told my wife at the time the dems were (unknowingly) creating a great campaign commercial.

Gail W's avatar

I suspect DJT expected that for that exact use! 🤣

Dems are morons. I'm just glad that we FINALLY have a Republican who is smarter than they are.

RevMikeyMac's avatar

Not just smarter: he actually WANTS to WIN!

Gail W's avatar

VERY TRUE! AND Trump WON'T QUIT!!

Doug's avatar

Trump won't quit, but the RINOs in the Senate and House are doing everything they can to slow it down.

Sam Prentice's avatar

Wish it was more than just "a Republican!" Trump is responsible for most of every accomplishment touted. Imagine what he (we) could accomplish if Republicans acted like they are actually on his and our side. Our entire wish list could be made reality, but for some reason Republicans refuse to win.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Imagine if the Republicans were Patriots with a love for this nation on a par with PDJT.

Joe LaGreca's avatar

As Rush always said - Republicans are happiest when they are in the minority so that they can campaign for $$$ & promises of smaller Govt.

Shrugged's avatar

Nailed it.

It seems Trump is almost a one man band. He's got good cabinet loyalists but without Congressional Republicans 100% behind him (like the Dems work in lock-step), it is a futile cheer for a good POTUS.

Here's hoping you got yourself dug out in CT from the blizzardf.

Sam Prentice's avatar

My state of CT is very screwed up politically, but they sure know how to take care of the roads after large snowfalls. We only got about 20 inches this storm. The one from a couple of weeks ago gave us 32 inches. In both cases, the town and state crews were right on it and had the roads completely clear within a day. I guess they are so good because they get a lot of practice?

Jeremy R's avatar

Morons? Their voters maybe, but the ones in Congress are idiot savants. They are so narrow minded they can't see the repercussions of their actions. Totally self centered and well paid for their skulduggery, they get rich faster than the best stock market investors. And most of the money they greedily pocket originates with foreign agents, mostly communist Chinese.

This should be treason, while China isn't attacking us militarily, they are sabotaging out nation at every opportunity.

We need to stop this. Members of Congress should be restricted in the means by which they generate extra income. No book deals, no speaking fees, and their campaign coffers should be empty after every election with the funds either returned to their owners err donors, or passed to the treasury.

Am I wrong? I want representatives to serve their constituents and Senators to serve their state governments. I want a republic we can keep.

donald b welch's avatar

they always do, every day of every week of every month but rarely do we see that taken advantage of. msm (including foxnews) see to that of course.

Gail W's avatar

I don't think a SINGLE Dem stood, did they??

They are demons and now all Americans SAW it, BIGLY!

Playswithneedles's avatar

We saw it bigly last year when they refused to stand for a little boy, who happened to be black, battling cancer. And they call us racists.

Reddog's avatar

The real national security threat; Democrats.

tj's avatar

That was soooo revolting. They could not even wish him the best in his battles.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

It's standard procedure for the Dems. And none of them realize that this makes them look petty to the milllionth degree. So let them.

Don M's avatar

I was about to reply to your first comment about dems being morons. I disagree with that description, but I do agree with them being demons. They are intelligent and know exactly what they’re doing - attempting to destroy the USA as we know it. And they will fail.

Gail W's avatar

IDK. I think many of them are very stupid. Pelosi seemingly was a brilliant and corrupt tactician. Not many others. (Jamal Bowman. AOC. Hank Johnson are three clear examples of ‘not’)

Don M's avatar

Agreed. Some are stupid, but they are pawns of the diabolical people that drive the party and its actions.

Deception and lies are what keeps the dems going and some only carry the party’s water without contributing any ideas of their own, because, like you say, they are morons

Gail W's avatar

On that we agree 100%.

I just watched this fascinating speech. https://rumble.com/v75tbjy-ryan-mauro-the-liberty-forum-2-10-2026.html

[Liberty Forum is actually in CA (!!) that is a very high level CONSERVATIVE group in the Silicon Valley area. You can watch their speakers for free online about a week after the live event. It's a phenomenal resource.]

But this speaker laid out some dots that I have not heard anyone else connect!!! Part of it relates to WHY Soros, specifically, DOES WHAT HE DOES.

Sam Prentice's avatar

I think Democrats are incredibly stupid and that is the saving grace for Republicans who aren't very stellar in their own regard. I cringe at how pathetic Republicans are and then see the only thing that saves them is that Democrats are morons. Well-organized morons, but morons nonetheless.

Reddog's avatar

Don, have to disagree about terms here. I don’t believe the Dems want to destroy this country. They believe they are so smart they can ruin the countrys economic system and remake the country in their liberal utopian image. They really aren’t smart in the sense that they can control how people react to hardship and a breakdown in our laws. They are fools in that regard but the left has been infiltrated by too many communists now and they have lost control of much of what their cult does. Unless the GOP gets aggressive and counters them, anarchy is going to prevail.

Sam Prentice's avatar

Democrats are narcissistic nihilists and have no idea whatsoever of what they would replace our system with once they have destroyed it. They have no utopian vision, just perpetual revolution, disruption, and political power. "Forward, and the Long March" is all they have and they don't even know what any of that means because they are all drones.

Reddog's avatar

Perfect comment. You get it.

Don M's avatar

I agree with your comments, but I stand by my term “destroy”. They want to destroy our democratic republic and replace it with their idea of utopia as you so vividly point out. They first have to “ remove” our form of government and that destroys the country as we know it.

Doug's avatar

They have been after the "promised land" of C & P for decades.

tj's avatar

The idoits think they will be at the top in the newly revised 'better' USA. Those who want to destroy our country, they dont like traitors once they have won. Traitors are sell out and those trying to remake the country from the shadows, will take the traitors out first. Because traitors will want in the spoils and will rat out the remakers in a heart beat. They already have done it.

donald b welch's avatar

they've seen it before gail and too many times to even count. problem is, it just doesn't seem to resonate with the masses.

Gail W's avatar

Donald, don’t be fooled by the PROPAGANDA PRESS!

I just saw yesterday that DJT, W and Obama are all about at the SAME approval rating at this point in their term. Factor into that the RELENTLESS NEGATIVE SPIN on DJT ( and pretty much W too although DJT’s is orders of magnitude more) versus Obama’s coverage! Then try to convince me that not enough of the masses ‘get it’. I respectfully would beg to differ.

Mike Ware's avatar

🤣 Glad to hear you’re still thinking about that Bentley! Mean ‘ole wife!

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

That was a definition of ass kicking I had not foreseen and drove home the MAGA vs deepstate battle.

N.Wallace's avatar

The democrat party's self inflicted kill shot.

Jason Leonard's avatar

While grinning like a Cheshire cat.

Suzie's avatar

That was hands down one of THE BEST SOTU addresses ever!! Every minute was thrilling and inspiring, funny or heartbreaking, hopeful and encouraging.

Loooved it!!

He also gave Congress their TO-DO LIST ~ let’s hope they were writing it down.

Stay the course! America’s best days are still to come!!

NNTX's avatar

And for that reason I voted for “winning all the time…” Not going to be negative after a glorious night from our President, who we are blessed to have, along with his terrific Cabinet and team.

BTW, did anyone see the pics of a pair of eagles flying over the Capitol yesterday, before the speech? God bless America.

Stephen Wolf's avatar

Republicans when in power never fail to let us down. Just Yak-Yak-Yak no action. It is very hard to like them.

David Paine's avatar

One favorite moment was honoring Navy Captain Royce Williams, also near 100 years old, with the Medal of Honor. Captain Williams was the hero of one of the greatest air combats in history when almost single handedly fighting 7 Russian MiG-15s in Korea in his slower F9F-5 Panther, he shot down 4 and damaged 2. His victory was classified for years since we didn't want to disclose we fought Soviet pilots...it was a "secret" of the early Cold War. Last night, he looked great and the grumpy Dems were forced to applaud.

Dutchmn007's avatar

Amen & by nature of what I do - recording Veteran’s experiences for them, their families & posterity ( www.shotandastory.org ) - I had a recent guest - a retired Navy CDR - bring this up in an interview before it was widely known explaining it was so small feat. Those Grumman F9F Panthers were really a subpar fighter aircraft & not on the level with the Soviet MIG15’s of the period.

Captain William’s flight started out as a formation & due to mechanical issues his fellow pilots had to peel off & return to the carrier. Initially there were six Soviet MIGs, he shot down four. I can think of no greater example of individual combat flying than Captain Williams; closest would be Lt. “Swede” Vetjasa in 1942 who took on 3 Mitsubishi A6M Zeroes while flying a Dauntless SBD; cornered & alone he outflew & shot down all three. His rear seat gunner never got off a single round; he was pinned in his seat by “G” forces the entire time. Needless to say after he got back to his carrier they pulled Vetjasa out of dive bombers & put him in a fighter’s cockpit for the rest of the war.

Have you ever watched " the unauthorized history of the Pacific war podcast? Many regular viewers want them to either cover the European theater when they wrap up, or tackle Korea.

Something to consider, might be a project for you to take on .

I noticed they took that ‘tard Al Green out early. They should’ve taken the rude, screaming ill -behaved Omar out with him, but it’s good that they didn’t. People need to see these grifting jackals for what they are. Dems know if the SAVE act passes, they’re toast. They cannot win without the steal. Never could. (See Daley, Richard M; Chicago) Best campaign ad, them sitting. Their silly signs and crude buttons are all they have. Trump was priceless. Best line of the night? “These people are crazy!” And when you looked outside at their counter SOTUs, they were weak, populated by furries and other candidates for mental institutions. A great speech by a consummate showman and a president who loves America!

Seth Kanter's avatar

Fantastic job by our great President, I think the most impactful moment was when DJT said the primary function of government is to protect our citizens, not illegal aliens, the Demonrats sat there showing the world that, like in Minneapolis, they prioritize illegals over citizens.

Suzie's avatar

Truly! And I was soo glad he kept drawing attention to all the times and things they refused to clap or stand for, saying, “How can you not clap for that?!”

And the multiple times he shamed them for things like unaffordability and the open border, saying, “YOU DID THAT!” Those were some of the absolute best moments for me!

Seth Kanter's avatar

💯 they demonstrated what and who they are, globalists and communists.

donald b welch's avatar

the question is....will the american people hold them to account? that'll be the day.

Seth Kanter's avatar

True!!!! The Demonrats know that besides being wholly dependent on government programs, their supporters are basically morons.

TeaPartyGal's avatar

Well, alot of their supporters are very intelligent, but have a psychological problem going on, where they usually live in a liberal area in a liberal bubble, and are extremely uninformed about anything Good about Republicans and anything Bad about Democrats.

And they are also struggling to avoid admitting they may have been wrong, which apparently would be pretty traumatic for their self-image. Also, their politics is serving as a surrogate religion for them (gives them a world view, a tribe, a "moral" compass (of course we would differ on that concept of morality), a god (themselves-- "scientific, post-religion man"), and a devil (everyone on the Right, especially DJT).

There is some complicated stuff going on with many Democrats.

But yes, there also are those who have become stupid, usually over many years and by choice; also perhaps by long drug use, or just plain bad mental or thinking habits.

Seth Kanter's avatar

Don't confuse attainment of degrees with intelligence, the credentialed class of self proclaimed experts have destroyed our country

WTPuck's avatar

As the founders would have said, domestic enemies.

Byron King's avatar

Trump at his best. One rhetorical home run after another. Phenomenal delivery. Timing was great. Two hours but still “fast” in many ways.

Meanwhile… Democrats could not have been more helpful, in their own surly, tawdry, passive aggressive manner. They sat sullenly, oozing sh!t-attitude, and disrespecting grieving families, war heroes, tight borders, American success and much else. “What the hell is wrong” w them, to quote Mr. T.

Medal of Freedom. Two Purple Hearts. Legion of Merit for Valor. Two Medals of Honor… One for recent heroism and another for a an engagement from 75 yrs ago, lost to the politics of Cold War secrecy.

We watched a serious moment of US history last night.

William Coulter's avatar

I watched just a bit of the speech but in the parts I saw

1. Didn’t know that helicopter pilot was injured so badly. Glad he is still with us.

2. Democrats looked like sitting boobs not applauding or standing in appreciation for some truly great accomplishments of this administration.

Too bad they had the chance to do some good stuff when they were in charge but blew it biggly with the sleepy corpse in the White House.

Trump is truly a one of a kind.

darrell's avatar

I saw some of the stand up and applaud. They must not have gotten the memo.

WTPuck's avatar

As someone pointed out, Mark Kelly was a Naval aviator. He knew.

Subvet's avatar

I hope the people running for office this year take tumps message and run with it. Point to the taxes on Virginia and NYC. Let's go PDJT!

tj's avatar

If they dont, we have bigger morons then the Dims that couldnt get off their a** last night.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

I thought PDJT did a very good job of chiding SCOTUS and the donks getting the message across while smiling his trademark your ass is mine smirk. All said and done it was a fine although long speech with more we,s than Is .

The Trumpster has a plan for the national debt. He just hasn't revealed it yet. He always has a plan and a couple of backups. He keeps his cards close but it's a royal flush. Count on it.

TeaPartyGal's avatar

Yes, Trump is a finance guy, and even beyond that, he is a real estate developer, so he is very familiar with the territory where you are in big debt until your project comes to fruition and pays off.

Actually he is not just "familiar" with the territory of big debt, he is rather comfortable with it, SO LONG AS HE KNOWS that the work is proceeding well on the project. And Trump is definitely proceeding well on the project of profoundly fixing America.

Trump will weed out the bad subcontractors, the inadequate materials, etc. He is paying super careful attention to the foundation work. Without question we are in good hands.

I just am concerned that whoever comes after him might be excellent (like Rubio or JD Vance) BUT will not have the depth and clarity of financial knowledge.

They will need people like Scott Bessent and Elon Musk to keep them steady financially and not hoodwinked by Leftist financial obfuscation.

WTPuck's avatar

I wouldn't bet against him, that's for sure.

tj's avatar

He does,, and I really hope so. There is so much to clean up, that to us he is moving slow. But really most Admins dont get done in 4 yrs what he has done in one.

Jimmy Stewart's avatar

All I have to say is . . . I Love you Don Surber!!!

James Wills's avatar

Barn burner of a post. I don't know which part of the SOTU I liked better - the list of accomplishments or stomping the Democrats into tomato paste.

WTPuck's avatar

Oh, please. Tomato paste is useful and delicious.

No's avatar

I loved how he just kept slapping the dems across the face and they just sat there, sticking to their failed script. I fell asleep before the end, been shoveling a lot of snow for an old man. A little disappointed there were no arrests, but today's a good day.

Lee's avatar

We are truly blessed to have such a POTUS. One day Mount Rushmore should welcome him.

It’s a shame most democrat voter didn’t see this. If they had they would have possibly been swayed to see how things are, but they won’t watch “orange man bad” because their hate is too deep.

These folks need an intervention with the American family showing them reality. If they refuse, make them get out of the family home (the USA) and not come back until they’re clean and sober.
