There were so many good choices today, unfortunately I picked the wrong one but really liked the glowing globe plus the Saudis have proven to be reliable allies
Item 21: "Merrick Garland had no trouble prosecuting Trump and his supporters."
Merrick Garland wasn't being handicapped by rogue judges who rule on neither the law or the merits. He didn't have a 90% partisan jury pool refusing to indict or convict anyone he charged. Finally, his OWN DOJ wasn't systematically sabotaging him, by, say, telling him that case files would be delivered, and then refusing to do so. AG Bondi is being unfairly scapegoated.
The only cure for our current legal system is a second 1776.
The Democrats get control and do all harmful stuff. Republicans are on the sidelines saying all the right stuff (see Mitch McConnell) but do nothing, because if they did they would be tossed off the gravy chain. You have to plan for retirement just in case.
Conservatives are a minority in the GOP. They should change the name of the party to the RINO party. The longer a conservative is in Govt, the more likely they veer to the left - just like some of the judges appointed by Republican presidents.
Less now than before. We need to stop the rest of the gravy trains, NGOs and all that fraud that no one seemed to care much about other than whistle blowers and some GOPs.
Trust me I care/cared too. It drives me nuts to see our government budget so out of wack and to find out how much is fraud. If they just ended the fraud, it would probably balance the dang thing. If I have to live within my means, so should our government.
I am upset with/about USPS. It was, at one time, the only in the black dept in the government and then it was trashed to high heavens. It is the only dept that has to prefund its retirement for all employees when they start. Which pretty much kills the USPS budget now. That was the last I heard.
But they have the USPS so messed up, I had a couple of packages not only get to my area within a day or two but then went on a world tour. One was 47 days getting to me. Made several trips to Chicago, a few to KY, and a couple back and forths to FL. All the while it would come within 5 miles of my house, then take off again. It had more air miles then I did when I traveled all the time for work.
I get it is not the workers fault but they are pressed to make their quotes or lose their jobs. It all needs to be fixed.
oh yeah, that was Dubya’s dad who appointed Souter & the traitorous phuck waited til there was a poofter Muslim terrorist sitting in the oval orifice to appoint two DEI disastrous womyn to the Supreme Court.
I really don't think you want that. We have a great country and a Revolutionary war would destroy it. War is terrible and there's no telling what could come of it.
I don’t think it’s the “country” that he is talking about, Douglas. He’s talking about the governing body that was dedicated to the people at one time. If you think this Congress is going to make fix things, remember that the party in power can’t pass a bill that fully 80%+ of Americans support. Congress cannot separate themselves from the money that elects them long enough to pass a basic bill today. Close to $40T in debt, a fight over a single filibuster rule, members who after two years of service go from a net worth of $100K to tens of millions, party infighting and mass retirements rather than actually fighting for things that matter…….to us. Now I could add how so many state governments took advantage of federal funds and created the largest scale corruption scandal in US history. But I won’t. Yes, we have a once great country but it is all hanging by a thread now due to corruption and political suicide. I think too many people are blind to the fact that our country was and is a great experiment that today is in danger of collapse. If you feel differently, please explain because the foundation of all we had is getting weaker by the day.
not a single recess appointment for trump under thune. 139 for obama. thune is a traitor to our country. should be arrested, tried and...dealt with if found guilty.
And he deliberately goes out of his way to establish his pro forma Potemkin Village of not being in recess specifically to block Trump from making recess appointments. And he continues to assist Grassley is tabling Trump's picks so Democrats continue to exercise their power through corrupt DAs, US Attorneys, and many levels of judges. When will we feel we have endured the last straw? It is disgraceful and pathetic we can't have an actual Republican Party that is on our side and wants to win.
i don't want to admit i have given up on the gop but...i have given up on the gop. that means (for me) that i have given up on saving the republic. i mostly stick to myself now. no pointing in coming unglued on some stranger i don't know who allows their ten year old daughter to wear a sweat shirt that says: "boys are smelly".
I am resigning myself somewhat as well. I am just so disgusted that so very many brave men and women have sacrificed their lives and financial security to give us the incredible nation they did, and our Republicans - those we have entrusted to exercise our will as we have made clear to them to do - are seemingly just fine, if not actually gleeful, to let our republic be disintegrated without uttering even a single whimper! They are such deserters in this battle for our lives, there is nothing civil I can say about what I think should be done to them. Disgraceful treasonous quisling cowards.
Thune was McConnell's hand-picked successor, just as Ryan was Boehner's hand-picked successor. they've both been thorn's in President Trump's side and anti-American.
I had forgotten Ryan was Boehners pick. That was before I became such a political news junky. I knew Thune was McConnells pick and worried but he talked a good game for a while. Although his actions have been the exact opposite.
And that is precisely why I think that members of Congress should be like NASCAR drivers....where jackets which show who their sponsors are....even the marxist AOC has figured out the system.
I wish that DataRepublic would do this. She has done a few, Thune being one. He is supported by a whole list of corps. He is doing exactly what they paid him to do, thwart Trump's admin and agenda.
I wish we could get corporations and PACs back out of paying for our Congress.
Great idea. The campaign money gets washed thru so many hands its hard to say who is buying the members anymore. The members actually believe they are entitled to get wealthy from their membership.
If you think of the entire government as an organism, it is experiencing convulsions and extreme stress as it tries and resist the sunlight and bleach Trump is bringing. It is like the body trying to reject an organ transplant. This entire stinking rotting corpse of a government is corrupt to its essence. It is completely FUBAR. I don't think it can be reformed because there are too many criminals in position to block any meaningful change. Look at the FBI. It is no wonder Patel always has that Deer in the Headlights look on his face because everyone under him in that cesspool is trying to thwart and destroy him. Fraud and its attendant corruption is endemic and is a way of life for these worthless slugs. I don't know how we undue it.
Very well stated. I recall when a Trillion used to mean something - now, they don't care a hoot about the debt. The GOP can no longer claim to be the party of small Govt. If I recall correctly, didn't Thune promise to allow Trump to make recess appts back when he was running to be senate leader - as did Cornyn.
I find it disgusting that the only thing these two corrupt worthless political parties can ever agree on is setting up Omnibus Bills to authorize massive spending funds to use in anyway any of them deem fit to buy votes and direct money back into their own pockets. They never fulfill their constitutional obligation and requirement of enacting actual budgets detailing line by line how money is authorized to be spent. No, just one big pot of open-ended cash for them to engage in their orgies of power.
The Fraud figures are appalling, and I suspect that what has been publicized so far is only a fraction of the $$ involved.
Hence, solving fraud (Item 23 above) solves Item 18 (social security deficits). Beware as the RINOs and Dems are preparing the way to steal the pitiful returns via Social security that one receives on the taxes paid into the funds.
(FWIW, I think Trump is wise to this issue. Other Rs? Not so sure).
Not sure about the recess apts but why should this all be on Trump to fix? Look at the GOP members bailing out rather than sticking around to fix what they screwed up. Fair weather members. Unless we get past this divide, it isnt going to end well.
What is SDN advocating for? Sounded like a call to revolution to me. In 1776, we declared our indepdence. A New Declaration? Have at it. I am pretty confidant that you won't achieve that, so that pretty much leaves armed conflict. I shudder at the thought.
Cant speak for him but people are angry and fed up. If we had a functioning congress people would feel better but the congress we have has so little ability to accomplish anything that they are about one insult away from armed conflict. Democrats could care less about fixing anything. They think its easier to just get the majority and cram everything down our throats. And the GOP is about as bad. They have the majority and yet can’t agree in bathroom breaks during a session so who wins? I dont know but the rest of us are stuck living with this mess. We need to pay members based on performance metrics. So far this session, they would not be entitled to a paycheck. Democrats have adopted a scorched earth policy to get back in power. But yet what have they ever accomplished for people that actually worked? So when prople start talking about an uprising, it says we are just about past the dialog stage.
You are ((deliberately?) confusing "want" with "need". We can't remove judges by impeachment, the UniParty Senate is refusing to confirm Trump's nominees or pass legislation, and the voting system is rife with fraud, and it's been proven a hundred times over. What's left?
ITEM 23: “…Whistleblower Haywood Talcove tweeted, “At one point, California had more people applying for unemployment than there were adults in the entire state. $32.6 billion. Gone. Prisoners collected. Dead people collected. I warned them. I begged them not to let the money go out like that. They suspended every rule anyway. The tools to stop this exist. So why are the doors still open? 30 years tracking fraud. This is the biggest in American history.”
During the summer before the 2020 election, I vividly recall multiple news stories reporting that nearly every blue state was in the red, running massive deficits.
Fast forward to the stolen election, Biden as president and the advent of COVID, and suddenly all those blue states were suddenly experiencing budget surpluses.
The theft of our tax dollars by the Democrats party over decades, and through every crooked measure conceivable and inconceivable, is incalculable.
They are not a political party. They truly, truly are nothing more than the most elaborate criminal enterprise, perhaps in history.
I am a road warrior....I can tell you that, since covid, there are more high-end muscle cars out there on the road playing real live video games with those muscle cars. My position continues to be that people who should not have received stimmie checks, i.e. they were intended to go to people who were put out of work because the government dictated that their business was non-essential, but, in fact, they were sent to everyone, whether they fit their criteria or not. I remember retirees complaining that they weren't getting one when, in fact, their situation had not changed. All those mooing voices at the government tit.
re: privatize the USPS. When most communication takes place at the speed of light over e-mail, why even have it? At least 95% of what appears in my mailbox from the USPS is junk mail and goes straight to the garbage bin. We are paying taxes to have trash delivered to us.
Several years ago an NPR segment highlighted a New Hampshire man who subscribed to any and all possible third-class mail. Every weekday he rode his adult tricycle to the post office and collected his junk mail, immediately riding home and depositing it to burn in his outside boiler. He was heating his home with 3d class mail, obligingly delivered free by the Postal Service.
re: Lincoln's firing his generals. It is reputed that when he considered making Grant General-in-Chief of Northern forces, Lincoln was approached by his advisors, who opposed the general's promotion on the grounds that he was a drunk.
Lincoln is alleged to have said, "Find out what he's drinking and send a case to each of my other generals. He fights."
Lincoln did. And, MacArthur said of Eisenhower, "he was the best administrative-assistant I ever had." MacArthur was not a great general because he took credit for accomplishments of others where no credit was due, but he was an outstanding choice to oversee the rebuilding of Japan because of his grasp of the Asian culture.
Was an issue we discussed w friends whose kids were considering service academies. (Our recently retired Full Eagle was irked when I raised that thought during Biden Covid). Along the lines of those we prayed for who ‘were so elated their kids got into Stanford’ and only came home (flyover) to visit the first Thanksgiving)….
#17. Europe has been conquered with the exceptions of Hungary and Poland. King Charles can speak to his Moslem subjects but not his Christian subjects.
Europe is on a downward spiral of their own making. Chances are much greater than zero that a come to Jesus moment will eventually arrive and the normal citizens will rise up. It won't be pretty. Guillotines will be in short supply.
Poland is not “free” with that EU- toady Tusk in charge. If he would not get run out of town on a rail by the people, he’d make that country into another Socialist EU carbon copy. But he’s still going to try as long as he has power.
The latest scandal being reported in Tusk's administration is pedophilia, bestiality and zoophilia....we'll see how that goes....supposedly at a local level but affects a particular party.
Thank you for bringing that up. Joey Jones was lying there wounded in four limbs and bleeding out but he knew they would come for him. They did and now he's on Fox every day. Amazing stuff.
One of my best friends is a former Cobra Pilot with the Pink Panthers (supported SOG, Special Operation Group in Laos, Cambodia and along the Trail) and yes the Dust-Off Pilots were heroes, the Cobra Jockey’s brought hell to the enemy from the sky, a nice balance.
Hey....I grew up in RI....many people who I went to school with and had still lived there had to move because of what is going on in RI....RI makes Massachusetts look absolutely right wing.....commie all the way....It was better run when the Mafia were in charge...
I just can’t believe there are not enough people with big enough gonads to stand up and say “Fair is fair! You paid tribute to your fake hero, at least PRETEND you represent all classes of people!” For shame!
If we don’t replace the USPS it will collapse. No one is saying that we should continue to use mail in ballots either. There is a reason that 90% of the mail you and I receive is marketing mail. That is all that is keeping the postal service alive. It’s time has passed and either we remodel or remake it or it will collapse.
Well, the USPS was not designed to be a profit organization....no private organization taking over the USPS will deliver to Timbuktu addresses....no money in it. That is part of the charter of the USPS....deliver everywhere....ever notice on backroad towns the little PO located in a tiny tiny building or in a co-location? I don't know if you are a city person but city people never get out of the city into really rural areas to see how the other half lives....the people who provide what they use....
I just drove through Kentucky along the interstate. I'd never seen a Buc-ees; as we passed one, the parking lot was 100% full, and cars were backed up all the way along the exit ramp back to the interstate itself. We were hungry, but we kept going.
We've only been to a Bec-ees once. After that experience, my husband was grossed out by the huge number of urinals after thinking about all the particles that would be disbursed if they all flushed at once! We have friends and family members who never pass one up, always must stop for the fudge and tee shirts
A wonderful Easter Saturday to you all!! The Fountain of Liberal Tears is the obvious answer to the cat.
“Trump has support from the leaders of most Muslim nations except England, France and Germany.”
Perfecto!!!!
May GOD Almighty continue to bless and protect President Donald J. Trump and the United States of America!!
Imagine what Trump could have accomplished if he had any cooperation from the other side…both foreign and domestic.
by other side i assume you mean the senate gop?
Rhinos and democrats.
😂🤣 Funny but unfortunately true.
No kidding....24/7/365 coup attempts during Trump 1.0 and now in Trump 2.0.
There were so many good choices today, unfortunately I picked the wrong one but really liked the glowing globe plus the Saudis have proven to be reliable allies
There is no wrong answer in the cat polls.
Hope so -I picked the Golden Escalator because I would love to ride on it.
he left out spain.
And Canada.
you mean Spainkistan?
Amen!
04/04/26: Thank you, Albert!
“ITEM 5: Variety reported, ‘Sony Pictures is eyeing a biopic of legendary news anchor Walter Cronkite.’
“That would be a good role for Jussie Smollett, or should he wait until the Dan Rather biopic comes along?”
Smollett does Cronkite.
Brett Baier (Fox-Pravda “News”) IS Dan Rather.
Item 14: NY Times misses Traitor Milley (U.S. General, Biden crime cartel era).
Item 21: "Merrick Garland had no trouble prosecuting Trump and his supporters."

100% agree sdn but that won't happen in our lifetimes. probably half our side are weak kneed simps. make that 75% and rising.
The Democrats get control and do all harmful stuff. Republicans are on the sidelines saying all the right stuff (see Mitch McConnell) but do nothing, because if they did they would be tossed off the gravy chain. You have to plan for retirement just in case.
Agree with you.
Just wanted to note that it's "gravy train" ... not chain.
Happy Easter!
Damn auto correct! That will teach me to do some proof reading. We had a very nice Easter. I’m sure you did too.
Conservatives are a minority in the GOP. They should change the name of the party to the RINO party. The longer a conservative is in Govt, the more likely they veer to the left - just like some of the judges appointed by Republican presidents.
Well Joe, they veer to the left because that's where the big bucks kickbacks come from.
The Dems have lots of bucks and time.
Less now than before. We need to stop the rest of the gravy trains, NGOs and all that fraud that no one seemed to care much about other than whistle blowers and some GOPs.
I CARE!! I live in Mn. Full stop.
Autism centers manned by foreign agents in multiple states. Yikes! It’s a playbook, folks, probably available via trusty Amazon.
And don’t you DARE close the USPS. Y’a trying to overturn the Constitution?
Ok. I’ll rest. Happy, blessed Easter.
Trust me I care/cared too. It drives me nuts to see our government budget so out of wack and to find out how much is fraud. If they just ended the fraud, it would probably balance the dang thing. If I have to live within my means, so should our government.

But they have the USPS so messed up, I had a couple of packages not only get to my area within a day or two but then went on a world tour. One was 47 days getting to me. I get it is not the workers fault but they are pressed to make their quotes or lose their jobs. It all needs to be fixed.
Anthony Kennedy, Sandra Day O'Connor, John Roberts and, unfortunately, Amy Coney Barrett being others.
You forgot a big example - David Souter - he didn't just stray to the left - he went hook, line, and sinker.
oh yeah, that was Dubya’s dad who appointed Souter & the traitorous phuck waited til there was a poofter Muslim terrorist sitting in the oval orifice to appoint two DEI disastrous womyn to the Supreme Court.

Great idea. The campaign money gets washed thru so many hands its hard to say who is buying the members anymore. The members actually believe they are entitled to get wealthy from their membership.

It is staggering I believe. What has happened to accountability? And unless people in charge go to prison, nothing changes.

Good morning and thank you for your wonderful week in review.
Happy Easter, He is risen!
He is risen indeed!
He IS risen
He is risen indeed
11. That was so shocking to me that I remembered it without going back. And these are the people teaching our kids and grand kids.
But also - 19. Four George Floyd statutes and they have to cease and desist a mural of Iryna? Commie paymasters. This just makes my blood boil.
Huh....were you sleeping when cancel culture was all the rage?
That is so insulting
Oh, I see. Now that we have a process to track mail in ballots through the USPS, they want to privatize it so that they can control it!
You can thank Congress for the mess that the USPS is in....they broke it...
I think changing times has a lot to do with it as well. People don't use it nearly as much as they once did. Time for private delivery.
It wont collapse. They will just keep throwing $ at it.
Here locally it seems that UPS and Amazon are having delivery issues also. I notice almost daily complaints about mis-delivered items
Item 11
Just goes to show how truly stupid and lazy the press is.
Ridiculously pitiful if you ask me.
Spewspaper. There is no news.
re: LeBron wants out of Black Memphis for White Nashville.
He's no fool. Who is most likely to kill a black man? Statistically, the overwhelming likelihood is Another Black Man.
Happy Easter to all, and thanks for these daily columns, Don.
re: Item 22. KJB The DEI-Dunce. The best lesson a citizen can learn is the danger of placing an incompetent in a position of authority.
She worse than an incompetent- she’s an incompetent Leftist activist planted on the Court.
That is part of the point of DEI.....it is not meritocracy....
Interesting shot of BUC-EE’S on the moon there! The only thing missing is the thousands of cars trying to get a parking spot.
Great post as always, Don!
Solar chargers outfitted for the Moon Tesla trucks you see around town now….
Reckon why they didn't show the Waffle House ? It was there first .
Item 22 Perfect argle gargle
She and CommaLa are the reminders of what DEI produces every time they speak in public. Probably private as well. I’ll never know.
Sometimes ignorance isn’t just bliss, it’s a blessing.
Isn’t that a wonderful term?
