Yes! My blood still starts to boil when I remember those daily caravans of thousands marching north through Mexico, clean, well fed, carrying their iPhones and wearing Biden tee shirts.
I do feel the world and especially the USA is a safer place after Trump had the courage to nuke Iran's nuclear program. I truly love all of his actions, so this one was a tough choice
There should never be another North American kid sent to bail out those incompetent, ungrateful queerified European dipshits again.
It’s one thing to watch them fuck up their shit once again and not get the message after 2 horrendous blowouts that have cost us continent-wide, thousands upon thousands of healthy strong young people. But it’s another when we don’t learn ours.
Fuck them, their Union and the UN!
Let’em find out what real accountability looks and feels like!
Hi Chuck -- the problem goes way back to 1914-1918, when a pontificating moron with a superiority complex, by the name of Woodrow Wilson, got the idea of going "over there", beat the Germans, and at the same time improve Europe. We beat the Germans alright -- at least, on the western front -- but the Europeans ignored Wilson's lofty schemes, made Germany pay big-time, and thereby set the stage for the second World War. If Wilson had stayed out of the first one, I very much doubt America would have needed to go "over there" again.
But of course, that doesn't preclude America needing to fight Japan ...
I wonder how much crap from unfettered immigration those countries can take. Shame on those gov’t’s, who like Biden’s henchmen, see the natives as the problem.
Sadly, I agree with Steyn. It's so sad. I lived in the UK for a couple years back in the early 80 and became a thorough Anglophile; watching what's happening there now is heartbreaking.
Doesn't he have some very serious medical issues, possibly borne of the crushing stress of the lawsuit he sadly lost?? (Not sure if he's appealing it. I hope he is.) If so, a daily 3-hour radio show plus a 1-hour podcast for 4 hours/ day would be way too much for someone not in robust health.
Steyn did lose the lawsuit to Michael Mann (climate change hoaxer), but I recall reading that the punitive damages were reduced to $5000 and Mann had to pay Steyn's attorney's fees.
OMG I HOPE that is accurate!!! Thank you for sharing that.
My heart broke for Steyn when I heard the 'verdict'.
The only tiny thing about the attny's fees is that I also recall that Steyn represented himself so I have no idea if he can even recoup anything for his time. 😢 But I sure hope he can. 🙏
Wow - I wasn't aware of that - he doesn't look that old, but I had friends in their 40's that had heart attacks. Also had a friend in his 20's that died from a heart attack. So, age isn't always the only barometer.
Cannot agree. Clay has a monumental ego, and forgets he is not doing a sports show any more. His political commentary can be insightful, but his ego is always in the way. I listen, but only because there is nothing else in that time slot that is better. Rush dominated the slot, and nobody has dared enter it since.
I don't recall Buck Sexton or Clay Travis subbing for Rush. There were some other good subs for Rush besides Steyn & I found it odd that none of the regular subs got the spot - guess the honchos wanted to go in a different direction.
Buck Sexton did sub for Rush a few times, and I always liked his analysis and "inside baseball" knowledge of DC. But I can't stand Clay...he's an arrogant know-it-all who talks about himself all the time...typical lawyer.
There's just no deep substance to the show anymore (despite Buck being half of the team). And they seldom take their callers seriously like Rush did.. remember when Rush would get a call from a 9-year-old, or 12-year-old: he gave them lots of time and showed genuine interest and affection for them - a guy who never had kids of his own.
A great American patriot and humble hero... and I mean that. He really did believe he had "talent on loan from God."
While it goes without saying the no one on earth could have truly “replaced” Rush, the choice of those two was more than puzzling. I’d read that they were Rush’s wife particular choice. Weird.
the only thing that stopped me from living in the UK for a while was that I needed to be here to be closer to my mother in her final years. You couldn't pay me to live there now any more than you could pay me to live in NYC
They’ve well and truly boxed themselves into a truly deadly scenario.
Due to their open borders between all the EU nations, even if one nation were to shut theirs, it would instantly impact the others. Poland and Hungary have been successful at shutting their borders, but also suffer penalties from their overlords in the EU Commission as a result. It’s going to necessitate either an “All-In” program, (which would require an entire 180 degree in mindset and tremendous resolve and courage), or a break up or collapse of the entire EU project. Any way you paint it though, it will end up being a messy and most likely violent affair.
Look at what’s happening here with the resistance to our deportation program, which has the backing up of more than half the country, and amplify that exponentially for such a program to happen there.
They’re right now left with one of two choices: certain demographic death, or certain civil unrest at scale. Neither good.
I am worried it still might be too late for the U.S. too. THINK about places like Dearborn MI and Minneapolis that are effectively no-go zones IN AMERICA at this point. WTF do we do about them?!?!
Yes. it might have some effect on the muslims but I am not under the impression that they are here illegally for the majority. It is the central Americans and even Chinese who I think are mostly taking advantage of the "birthright" citizenship. That will be cataclysmic if Trump prevails at SCOTUS on this one, as I feel he should!
Worse yet is the city being built in Texas - of all places - for ONLY Muslims, and destined to run under Sharia law. How in the wide wide world of sports did Texas allow this to happen??!
Though not the current Prime Minister, Tusk. He’s a lefty, who ended eight years of conservative rule.
But the election of Nawrocki, a conservative, who will be sworn in as president on August 6, has opposed the coalition's pro-European, liberal agenda.
Though the position of president in Poland has limited powers, he does have the veto vote. In other words, there’s an ever growing split and power play going on there. Stay tuned.
Orban is operating as Trump’s foil. In one fell swoop, he gets to trash Von der Devil as a rube, while at the same elevating Trump’s negotiating tactics.
Obama His Own Self has beaucoup things to worry about presently; now having been repudiated a fourth time last November ( first two times he lost Congress, then 2016 & 2024) turns out he was The Conniver-in-Chief of the whole Crossfire Hurricane/Russia!-Russia!-Russia! hoax to the point that if Crossfire Hurricane is The La Brea Tar Pits Obama His Own Self is the original Tar Baby. Looks like this sordid, seditious mess is smeared all over him.
Too big to jail? Probably but seeing him subpoenaed & forced to spend a hefty chunk of change on a legal rep + having his fictional reputation undeniably sullied is probably enough for most.
What a schmuck. Instead of being a unifier he chose to divide & instigate a “Get Smart” level coup with a bunch of bumbling, incompetent baboons right out of Central Casting.
That idiot bowed down to everyone around the world and apologized for what we have done.... what a creep! And then he mis-pronounced corpsmen ... a big time faux pas. On top of that he said that we entrepreneurs did not create our own businesses and wealth... remember that one? Here it is "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Someone else made that happen". What an a-hole. My partner and I built a business from 2 men (us) in a garage to almost 400 employees. He (Obumma) had zero to do with that.
Yes, the "You didn't build it" was especially outrageous--and only could have been spoken by an ignorant man who indeed had himself "never built" anything.
Does pouring salt on old wounds heal or harm? I forget. As a kid in the late 1940's, we thought if a dog or cat licked your skinned knee it would heal faster.
Yes, by all means celebrate all the WINNING! that Trump has accomplished, but do not forget that the people responsible for the behavior that resulted in the lawsuits remain in the same positions of power they occupied when engaging in the behavior that led to the lawsuits in the first place. Do you really think these skunks have changed their stripes? Do they no longer exude the stench that defines their existence? Of course not. They have merely decided to cover their stench with perfume in hopes that we, the gullible public will forget who and what they really are. They will continue to act like skunks to the extent they can get away with it and will simply remain in their positions until Trump is no longer there to keep them in line. Our only chance at real and lasting victory is to make certain that Trump's replacement continues to uphold his values until they age out of their posts and are, one hopes, replaced by American patriots. Even more important is to keep both House and Senate out of the control of the democrat-rino coalition until the time comes that they have been banished from their seats of power. Eternal vigilence is the price of freedom, my friends.
A bit off topic, but while I tend to support Trump's calls 85% of the time, I think he's wrong on feeding Gaza. Gazians attack everyone, they fully suppor Hamas, they lie like a Democrat. They don't need to be fed. They need to be shipped to Iran
Funny you should mention that; I follow Moriel Ministries on line and as their leader, Jacob Prasch, said over the weekend, "NO food should have been sent into Gaza until every last hostage was released," or in the case of some, their remains.
I tend to agree with you but I'm wondering if DJT is just putting a 'pin' in the issue while he's abroad so as to not create (another!) distraction from his deals, not to mention allow him a minute of vacation. I hope he BLASTS (literally or otherwise) Hamas once he's back home.
Some historical perspective on Harvards Jew hatred. In 1900 7% of the student body was Jewish. In 1920 it was about 20%. The Jewish “quota” set by Harvard was 15% in the 20’s as a result. The most recent numbers show that only 5% of Harvards student body identifies as Jewish. Apparently today’s modern Jew haters at Harvard are much more successful than ever.
Harvard is afraid the Jewish students will outperform the other students, just like the Asian students do. They aren't lazy partying frat/sorority types
It’s all a part of the “Dumbing Down of America” project.
What they failed to foresee is that all those great minds and potentially great ones, end up on our side. That was one result of their Covid censorship actions. They cancelled all the brilliant truth tellers and they all got red-pilled.
Haavard is 1) not teahing anything of value to club members, and 2) what they are learning is detrimental to one’s career; 3) content we did not allow ours to even apply to schools that did not ‘seek the truth’….
Don't poll gives us great choices. I went with the tariffs. Trump is reshaping the world economically which has kickstarted a process of political change. It will take time but .... *** When a group lacks sufficient food to feed all, hoarding, stealing and infighting begin. The EU is an economic disaster akin to annual crop failures in the Soviet Union. (Germany's green energy policies are destroying its once powerful industrial base.) Trump's tariff war is salting the EU economic ground, effectively accelerating pressure on a failing socialist regime. Don has described the early signs of the Euro Zone regime leadership figures parting ways. The bureaucrats who decide which country can produce and sell which product will bend to further favor the most powerful states, effectively helping to steal the food. Watch as the most unstable/weak individual EU economies fall further behind. Leadership changes are sure to follow. Margaret Thatcher warned them they would run out of other people's money. Trump is taking away the OPM. *** We are discussing Europe here but Trump's tariff war has lit and stoked political fires everywhere
I too chose tariffs. Whether in life or golf the object is to go for the green Thought Ursula’s comment about access to the US market was telling. Regardless, while I think the deal is good for both parties, the best payoff maybe Canada becoming the 51st state. O Canada is so screwed,
You don't suppose the deep state with the approval of O planned the assassination of the Trumpster. That's something that could shake the Deputy DOJ to his core. Had the kid killed Trump none of this Russia information would have been published. One of the best things the Trumpster has done was turn his head a little.
Rosie was out walking her pooch the other day when an Irishman stumbled out of a bar and exclaimed " that has got to be the ugliest pig I have ever seen."
Trump has been doing so many good things that were crucially needed. It's true that some of the crucial things have been super-super crucial, like closing the border and ending Iran's nuke program. But today's column touches on just two other areas that really have needed crucial attention too--stopping the indoctrination of the minds of American youth by a nearly totally corrupt university and college system, and re-setting an international trade system that was (as Don pointed out so well) bankrupting America and subsidizing European and other countries' descent into socialism.
When you think about it, it becomes stunningly clear that America has had A LONG LIST of really crucial things that have needed to be fixed. Taken together, it is astonishing the level of destruction the Left has laid onto America. In every direction Trump turns, there is a longstanding poisonous growth that needs to be chopped down. I am not fond of disease-based metaphors, but it's really like America has had advanced cancer, with huge tumors metastasizing everywhere. The situation has progressed far beyond what a little precise surgical tweaking here and there can do. Instead, like Argentina's president Javier Milei, Trump is daily taking a chain saw to one crucial problem after another.
Most real leaders long to make a difference. Trump is blessed with the opportunity to make a huge difference every single day with practically every action he takes. I hope and trust Trump is really enjoying himself! We sure are enjoying all the winning!
particularily those obsequious leftist (Reform and Reconstructionist types) commie Jews who love saying he’s a secret antisemite despite the fact that his daughter is modern Orthodox and he has Jewish Grandchildren…
Read this post by Don and then do us a big fat favor…GFY!
Poll needs All the Above, but closing the border wins in so many ways!
Yes! My blood still starts to boil when I remember those daily caravans of thousands marching north through Mexico, clean, well fed, carrying their iPhones and wearing Biden tee shirts.
With NGOs funded by USAid using billions of US taxpayer money….
I do feel the world and especially the USA is a safer place after Trump had the courage to nuke Iran's nuclear program. I truly love all of his actions, so this one was a tough choice
With you my fren.
How about the Tees saying " four-star hotel or bust"?
Agreed! With the possible exception of the last choice given here. I mean really. Who gives a f--K what Rosie does or doesn't do?
She qualifies as the crazy aunt in the attic.
ring around the Rosie
she's fat
and all too nosey
ashes ashes
a perpetual frown!
---good riddance!
Who cares what any of these so called “stars” do out say. How about if all bloggers, writers, etc just ignore them?
Was such a tough choice I went with humor and voted Rosie.
Yeah , I botched that one . I saw Rosie's leaving and clicked on it without reading the rest. I admit closing the border is more important .
I'm with you.
When the UK, France, and Germany all descend into the chaos of civil war, who do you think they're going to coming begging to (again)?
There should never be another North American kid sent to bail out those incompetent, ungrateful queerified European dipshits again.

And before some smart ass weighs in, that goes for the Middle East, Asia, Africa or Antarctica too!

Yes ~all Those pesky, petulant penguins!
Hate penguins don't you? P.S. you can add Asstralia to the list.
Asstralia…stolen!
Double dittos! Millions for defense and not a cent for tribute! Ref. The XYZ Affair. Circa 1798.
wow wow Chuck....don't hold back! What do you REALLY think?
And how to deal with invasions ...
Hi Wim…
Yes and Invasions they initiated and facilitated, grandstanding, virtue signalling imbeciles that they are!

Steyn thinks its hopeless at this point.

You got that right. Although his delivery is slow
Buck and Clay do a great job. Clay is a solid guy who stands for his conservative convictions at home here in Tennessee.
And his sports commentary is very compatible with Rush's side ventures into the world of pro football.
I like Buck's wonky CIA background view.
Cannot agree. Clay has a monumental ego, and forgets he is not doing a sports show any more. His political commentary can be insightful, but his ego is always in the way. I listen, but only because there is nothing else in that time slot that is better. Rush dominated the slot, and nobody has dared enter it since.
Rush was interesting everyday, these guys not. I didn't listen everyday but I miss him.
I now listen to Markley,VanCamp, and Robbins for the humor and serious takes.
I listened once or twice to the replacement team. Nah. I switched to the Air Castle of the South, WSM.AM.
I don't recall Buck Sexton or Clay Travis subbing for Rush. There were some other good subs for Rush besides Steyn & I found it odd that none of the regular subs got the spot - guess the honchos wanted to go in a different direction.

Best sub was Walter E.Williams .

It's hard to see HOW an effective anti-invasion movement could develop in Europe, since the natives have been disarmed for generations.
They just need courageous leaders like we have, blessedly, in Trump. But I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
Well stated, Suzie.
I am worried it still might be too late for the U.S. too. THINK about places like Dearborn MI and Minneapolis that are effectively no-go zones IN AMERICA at this point. WTF do we do about them?!?!
AND that they BREED LIKE RABBITS!!
Hence the current battle to end the concept of birthright citizenship.
Yes. it might have some effect on the muslims but I am not under the impression that they are here illegally for the majority. It is the central Americans and even Chinese who I think are mostly taking advantage of the "birthright" citizenship. That will be cataclysmic if Trump prevails at SCOTUS on this one, as I feel he should!
There ARE solid legal reasons why "birthright citizenship" was always a hoax. Read the 14th Amendment.
Oh I totally agree with you. “Under the jurisdiction of the” imo is the key, but I’m not a lawyer. 😊
Worse yet is the city being built in Texas - of all places - for ONLY Muslims, and destined to run under Sharia law. How in the wide wide world of sports did Texas allow this to happen??!
I *think* (don't quote me) I heard that Gov Abbot put the kibosh on that!! I sure hope so!!
Re: Europe's probable "...chaos of civil war..." & us being their intended savior once again...
An excellent opportunity to embrace the power of NO. The 3rd time is NOT the charm.
Civil war? They were invaded. They've already surrendered. All that's left is for the jihadists to begin mass executions.
Who you gonna call?
Ghost Busters!
Surberism of the day: "he’s nothing but a Budapest"
Yes, but of all the European leaders I think he's the best - followed by Meloni
I also like Orban
Me too. Whoever the leader of Poland is too. They are the only ones who have held tough against mass migration ruining their countries.
Though not the current Prime Minister, Tusk. He’s a lefty, who ended eight years of conservative rule.

Though the position of president in Poland has limited powers, he does have the veto vote. In other words, there’s an ever growing split and power play going on there. Stay tuned.
These leaders all have the vision to see past their outstretched palms.
Could it be they don't know any better?
Orban is operating as Trump’s foil. In one fell swoop, he gets to trash Von der Devil as a rube, while at the same elevating Trump’s negotiating tactics.
It was a clever play.

White guilt courtesy of mis-education and the media.
More like throw acid on them.
Does pouring salt on old wounds heal or harm? I forget. As a kid in the late 1940's, we thought if a dog or cat licked your skinned knee it would heal faster.
Repeated licking is nature's cleaning , encourages suppuration , and discourages hard scabbing. Modern wound care is based on this concept .
Wow. Thanks for that information. (ala Johnny Carson's "I did not know that!")
Yes, by all means celebrate all the WINNING! that Trump has accomplished, but do not forget that the people responsible for the behavior that resulted in the lawsuits remain in the same positions of power they occupied when engaging in the behavior that led to the lawsuits in the first place. Still not tired of all the winning. Tell your cat some of these polls need an “all of the above” answer.
cat wants us to really weigh the possible answers
Don’s columns run too early for me to enter into a battle of wits with either him or his cat.
Agreed... I don't want an "All of the Above"... I want to make up my mine; decision making rules with me.
Yeah, sometimes my brain just gets tired of thinking for myself--like in long division in math. Gimme dat calculator!
Great start to day as #1 Like! Poll needs All the Above, but closing the border wins in so many ways!

Hey Trump haters…,
particularily those obsequious leftist (Reform and Reconstructionist types) commie Jews who love saying he’s a secret antisemite despite the fact that his daughter is modern Orthodox and he has Jewish Grandchildren…
Read this post by Don and then do us a big fat favor…GFY!

Rosie O’Donnell for the win! It’s always the funny one.
Personally, I'd be happy with the universities losing government grants and other funds until we reach the point of zero national debt for ten years.
Amen! Let them stand or fall based on their own value - or lack thereof.
Absolutely should be codified into law before Christmas .
