Ick. Thanks for the correction. I'm glad I did not know about Cheney's FIVE deferments during Viet Nam. And now I see no wonder that Liz is an angry old lady. (I'm just a happy old lady.)
I will take a shot at Cheney, Don. In an interview some time ago, he was asked by the female interviewing him why he had sought deferments to escape military service during the Vietnam clusterfuck. His response? " I had better things to do with my time." I would not cross the street to piss on his boots. I lost 22 Marine brothers in Vietnam. So, Dickless Dick, I hope you are sweating uncomfortably in your after life.
And i have the greatest respect for what you did and saw. I would not say at that time (graduated high school in 1968) i had 'better things to do.' But that logically follows the belief that the war was bad, undeclared, and run by an immoral pack of liars. I wss in the first draft lottery and drew # 356 about as safe from getting drafted ss it gets plus a 2-S. The great tragedy of vietnam is that it was pointless. Good young men died. Brave men. Patriotic men...who were misled. I grieve with you for your losses but i will not glorify that war. Having said that Cheney's terse comment was unwise insensitive and offensive.
I graduated from high school in 1973 and had a high draft number. By that time, the war was winding down.
Nixon won the war by training the South and supplying them with ammunition, rifles and vehicles. The Democrat Congress pulled the plug on the resupply. The North was able to march to Saigon because the South had no ammunition. It's hard to stop tanks with rocks.
I learned about his sordid sex life when I was a senior in high school. I was living in Southern RI and took the train every Thursday to Boston to NEC where I studied violin in the prep department. My teacher told me about JFK and how they had been both carousing in the same bars picking up women. JFK had a serious zipper problem.
Correct. Congress was looking for a way out of the war and they chose the worst way to do so. Translated: they did what they always do, and chose the way that reflected the least on themselves. The worst of them were the bleeding heart liberals with no guts.
The dirty freaking stinking secret is that Nixon had sent troops into Cambodia to locate and destroy the NVA's command center of their entire operations. Our troops were within 2 klics of the headquarters when Nixon ABORTED the mission that would have ended the war almost immediately. He caved to pressure.
He caved to pressure about that hotel nothingburger....the pressure from the RINOs to impeach him. As we learn more about Watergate and who the plumbers really were....I thought that it was a nothingburger then and still do. But, he was the predecessor to Trump...the Dems and RINOs had to get rid of him....
Nixon was treated unfairly and Watergate was ridiculously minor compared to what Democrats have done to their opponents. But he did issue the EO officially creating affirmative action, he did start the EPA, and he did start price controls. I also blame him for the death of my brother who was killed in Vietnam after being drafted from teaching English to inner city kids. Nixon thought it was more important for my brother to go kill yellow people than to teach black ones. And Nixon had promised to end the war in 1968 but had to get "Peace with honor!" so the war dragged on to 1975. I've obviously never been much of a fan of his.
I have a problem with this whole “racist” bit in your comment…yellow and black people…really? What were the South Koreans? Not “yellow”?
I am sorry about your brother but Nixon didn’t kill him…:You don’t think that what Nixon actually wanted to do that he was thwarted by the Deep State and Congress who hated him? Can you not see an analogy between Trump 1.0 and Nixon regarding the Deep State? You’re old enough to know better than have such a simplistic point of view.
You were one lucky soul to have been spared. Had you been drafted would you have headed north to Canada or complied with the draft? I was commissionrd a Marine officer at my college graduation. I volunteered. I take no exception to your view of the debacle. However, I stand by my evaluation of Cheney . If you were offended, Robert, tough shit.
I'm the baby of my family. Oldest brother was rejected for his feet. Brothers two and three volunteered. #2 was assigned to Korea, #3 went to Nam. Many cousins also served during that period.
I was offended...by Cheney's reply to that question. No gripe with you, your decision, your point of view. I grew up in Michigan but I do not think I would have gone to Canada.
Robert - If your offense was to Cheney ‘ s response I owe you an apology. I read your initial message response as being concerned about my criticism of Cheney.
As someone who spent a long time in the Army, I have to say that to me, the saddest part of Vietnam Nam conflict was the reliance on the draft followed by and made far worse by the fact that our training systems sucked during that period of military malaise in America and yet we continued to send poorly trained troops fresh out of AIT directly into conflict under leadership of similarly inexperienced officers. That war was pointless because there was no stated outcome for success and it was politically micro-managed. The casualty rate was far in excess of what it should have been had the troops been adequately trained and equipped for the tropical environment. The period following Vietnam Nam saw an unprecedented remaking of our training systems, techniques, equipment and doctrine and the military we have today reflects most of the lessons learned during that war.
As to the casualties, I was a young kid --10?, and we lived in a black neighborhood. My bedroom was on one side of the house only about 15 feet away from the neighbor's house. It must have been summer, because both our windows were open. A single black woman lived there, and I remember one night I could hear her crying (I guess her bedroom was on the side of the house nearest to ours).
The sobbing and crying went on for hours and hours. I had never heard such a thing. (It didn't sound like an immediate emergency, just a continual weeping.) It was like she was in an emotional agony. I was too young to understand it, but it still grabbed my heart too. At some point I fell asleep, but I listened to it for hours. In the morning I told my parents about it, and they said that that day she had received the visit of the military officer telling her that her son had died in Vietnam.
A heartbreaking experience for you that probably feels just as fresh today for that dear mother as for you to recount it.
My twin cousins returned home but they were forever changed. It was the early 60s and I was, six(?). I did not understand their melancholy that today would be labeled PTSD. Even some that returned home were lost to us.
Everyone knows what that car pulling up to the front with a uniformed, usually junior officer and maybe a chaplain, means...They don't even have to open the door. They know. The neighbors know. Everyone knows.
As someone who lived through those times, I believe your analysis is spot on. I chose to enlist in the Air Force rather than be drafted as I could see from the experiences of friends and relatives who went to Viet Nam as draftees, what a meat grinder it was. Your observation about the war having no stated outcome should be a case study for every cadet and midshipman in our military academies.
My brothers and b-i-l s made it home from Nam albeit one brother is mental but my best friend did not survive. He told me on his last leave he did not expect to make it and was killed the day before his hitch was up . This rides with me today as if it were yesterday ,a good man lost to effed up pencil pushers in D.C..
Yes...pencil pushers in DC....I remember watching a Fox Nation series on Ruby Ridge...the thought in my mind was "gamers in DC, getting enjoyment out of a real game"...Watch Michael Moore's first movie about Congress and war...before he became a caricature of himself....Old men making war with no personal skin in the game...killing young men...For the Gulf War, I used to read "Faces of the Fallen" in WaPo (the good part of WaPo)...I think that you can still find it online....It made me cry...I was active duty Navy at the time and personally would never face war...but I cried. They were so young...
Another sad part of the Vietnam War, following the useless deaths on both sides, was caving to the pressure to give the vote to 18 year olds. They tried, at the time, to lower the drinking age and, after much ado, the states raised it back to 21. If they are not responsible enough to drink, why are they responsible enough to determine the future of the country?
As a fellow who'd BEEN shot-at and didn't particularly like it, I always figured that if the gooks came to Appalachia, I could wear their asses out. However, in Vietnam these were THEIR woods, and I had decided that a 6-foot-1, red-headed, palefaced white-as-white-can-be white boy would be about as easy a target as could be found. I treasured my 310 lottery number like it was my own life, c'os I figured it was.
That must be why I shed a tear or two while watching M.A.S.H. reruns. My late husband drove a tank during WWII, my brother flew jets off a carrier in the between wars, my son signed up during the Iraq thing. All my nephews served in the Army or the MPs. As a teen, I wanted to join the service but my brother convinced my parents to forbid it.
Seems like that's the way for most (not all) elites on both sides of the aisle - you can send your kids off to war, but our kids have better things to do.
That has always been true thru most of time and every country. They have to live with their decisions though. But the real problem is the elites, and I’m speaking of people in federal service now, are not held personally accountable for their actions. The country club membership guarantees them they won’t be accountable like you and I would be. That has to change if they are ever to regain any semblance of credibility.
Cheney’s funeral was not a place to play politics. He was a former VP, Sec Def, and deserved to have the POTUS present. Imagine if this was the Hildebeast’s funeral and PDJT didn’t show up. The LSM would be having cows because of the “disrespect”.
All these political “actors” can kiss my behind. None of these career asshats deserve respect. PDJT is bringing peace to the world and they can’t stand it.
I promise you that if HR Clinton passed, DJ Trump would not attend the funeral after all the hell and money she caused Trump. Her service as the SecState was corrupt as well. When she passes they need to pick up her body with the trash truck and be done with it. She is not someone deserving of a state funeral. Let Bill and her worthless daughter bury her.
The real Hillary emerged, for all to see and hear, while screaming in that hearing "What difference does it make?" about the disastrous massacre of US officials in Libya under HER watch.
That’s true. I always thought that the reason Bill was such a womanizer was due in part to his wife’s insufferable conduct. Sadly, she was allowed to reproduce.
Just once, and royal dynasties, although humans seem to be mesmerized by them, don't have much of a record of lasting success. Or of permanent brilliance, either one. It has something to do with the genetic crap shoot.
I have never bought not the big Mike thing due to lack of proof but she is certainly a whiney, insufferable, miserable, bitch lacking any self awareness whatsoever. And the fact so many women look up to her just makes her even more disgusting. Barack must truly hate himself if he found her appealing as a wife. Perhaps she and Kamala Harris can start a “Whiney Bitch Club” together at some point.

Ah yes it was the poll that caused the chuckle-chortle moment this morning.
Sometimes I just marvel at the DC insider culture, for its disconnection from the real world that the rest of us live in. Imagine being a smart, tough, and clever guy like Dick Cheney, and at the end of life you find yourself supporting the massive, bloated, corrupt political machine that installs an absolute zero like Kamala Harris as its candidate for executive leadership of the nation.
I guess from inside that machine, which even Dick Cheney lived in, it feels like the machine IS America, or at least it is the rightful representative body or system that moves the country along, even when a cackling fool like Harris or a doddering ass like FJB is the figurehead. Trump won election three times because a great many of us wanted him to take a wrecking ball to the machine.
“A new peace proposal for Ukraine drafted by the Trump administration could envision the country ceding the eastern Donbas region and limiting the size of its military in exchange for security guarantees from the United States,”
Ukraine was given security assurances by the US, UK & Russia in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum after agreeing to give up its nuclear weapons. I guess there must be a difference between a guarantee and an assurance. Just saying.

If the US wanted to end this debacle and save the world a lot of money we would just tell Ukraine to accept what they have lost and walk away from this mess. If the feckless EU wants to fund it fine, let them. Ukraine will inevitably end up under Russian control regardless because they cannot fight a war without the assets to do so. Russia wants it to end for its own reasons and so do the Ukrainian people but the Ukraine government doesn’t want the foreign money to end.
I have long stated that this is a war between two corrupt rulers, one as bad as the other. But at least Putin seems to have the interests of his own people in mind, whereas Zelenskyy has only his own interests at heart. Not one more dime or drop of aid should go to Ukraine; if Z wants to continue the war, let him use the cash he has already stolen.
Ukraine has already lost. Russia has far more people they can lose than Ukraine and they are more than willing to lose them if necessary. Both countries have little economic means to keep this war going. It is in Russia's interest to end this now before the oligarchs get upset and Putin has an accidental fall down a staircase. Zelensky seems unfazed by the utter destruction he has wrought thru his stubbornness on his country. The US and allies will end up rebuilding his country at some point and he knows it. He is not a good leader because the best position he had for a quick end to the war was literally in the first month of the conflict. He would lose land then and he is going to lose more land now by waiting so long. But the death and destruction he has brought on his country by stubbornly dragging this out is beyond the scale. Ukraine has lost most of the youth of the country for a generation. It is in the US interest to end it now because if it drags on further the danger is Putin is overthrown and someone worse takes over. I blame the war mongers on both sides of the aisle in our government for giving Biden such bad advice but Biden was into the war for corrupt reasons so doubt he would have listened anyway. End it now or let the EU pay for the rebuilding.
Zelensky has acted completely from personal selfishness and puffed up pride. (Puffed up by fawning American liberals.) Many precious Ukrainian men have died for this. Zelensky must be callous as steel to not feel responsible for that.
Moral compasses have gone haywire all over the place. Ukrainian men--expendable. Israeli innocent hostages--raped continually as Hamas selfishly held out for concessions no one was ever going to give them. Christians in Nigeria slaughtered. Democrats in America unconcerned about good American people being killed by illegal criminal immigrants. California public officials issuing truck drivers licenses to illegals who couldn't read English. Formerly ordinary citizens celebrating Charlie Kirk's death.
So many people on earth thought they were making a big advance to turn their backs on religion and embrace "science"/materialism/the "glory" of Man. None of us realized the huge impact religion has on a country and a planet, until the carpet of religion was pulled out from under us. We have seen the whole planet slide into decay.
But there are hundreds of millions of Christians around the globe, and they are getting deeper and stronger in their commitment and clarity about things. And we will prevail, zero question about it.
Can’t add a thing to that comment. Great job. But on the subject, I believe the ignorance, violence, a general disrespect we see today from our youth is directly the result of really poor or misguided parenting. These young people were raised more by a social ap on their computer or smartphone than their parents in many regards. We lost at least two generations to this nonsense and poor parenting. But on a happier note, have a great Thanksgiving😄 We can solve the worlds problems afterward.
I say that the problems with our youth is worse than every generation says about the youth....bad parenting? I guess that you were not around as a parent in the 70s when child abuse came out of the closet and CPS was created....kid fell down and broke his arm? CPS was sicced onto you and once they got their clutches on you, your life was misery. And then, of course, there was Dr. Spock who advocated that spanking your child would create a violence response in their development. Personally, I always liked "Spare the rod, spoil the child"....So, now we have two generations of people who were to watch the feminization of men and the masculination of women. And no guidelines for self-control. And now look at the behavior of people in Congress...start with the harpie Pocahontas and the black women who think that it is cool to talk ghetto when we know that they went to pricey schools and can speak the King's English. I could go on...One of the worst things to happen to this country was the femlib movement of the 60/70s....but, it fit in with the long-range plan to fundamentally change this country to become marxist...over 100 years they have been at it...and we are almost there....then people will learn self-control....
Russia doesn't have the economic means to continue? Huh...not at all...The oligarchs? Putin told them years ago to take their stolen goods and get out of the country. If they stayed, they were to stay in their own lane and keep out of politics....Re someone else taking over in Russia: Everyone is lucky that Medvedev is not in power....
Well...Russia doesn't want western Ukraine....the people living there are anti-Russia, as opposed to eastern Ukraine....what to do about a landlocked rump? Let the land go back to the original countries from which it was composed? There is thought about that.
Re the money: All questions are answered about "follow the money"....$100M corruption scandal? Bwahaha....think bigger numbers...this is to get rid of Zelensky who is afraid of the Azovs....literally for his life...

I heartily second Don's sentiments here, so I have nothing more to add to them. However, while looking at the photo of Rachel (Ray) Maddow sitting among the invitees, I couldn't help but remember when she called him a warmonger and a moron. Yet there (s)he was, big and bold. I was also struck by her incredible resemblance to Stephen Colbert! As Maddow ages, she looks more like an old man and as Colbert ages he looks more like an old woman. Strange, n'est ce pas?
Tried to put an old pair of mine on a while back. They are tanker boots with straps instead of laces. Terribly uncomfortably now but then they weren’t that great back in the day either😄 But they were easy to get on and off.
I benefitted from Cheney's leadership in Desert Storm. After that point in time I hope he rots in hell for:
"The collapse of the Soviet Union made NATO obsolete but the Dick Cheneys and Bill Clintons of the world kept it alive and expanding without a purpose. That is a dangerous waste of talent. It leads to things like blowing billions on a racketeer influenced corrupt government in Ukraine."
Oh, and eliminating our 4th Amendment rights with his evil Patriot Act which he endorsed Obama's weaponization of it against Americans.
He was a chief architect of the ruination of this country. Don't even get me started on his endorsement of granting the CCP most favored nation status...
The country and people of Russia are not our enemies. Their leadership is. We deserve some of their ire when it comes to our relationship with Ukraine, more specifically that we promised and assured Russia Ukraine would never be in NATO and our western expansion would not include Ukraine and then we did so. If the roles were reversed we would react similarly. Not defending Russia at all but we need to let go of our hatered of Russia here. They have a large but hapless military that cannot defeat an insignificant force like Ukraine. They have only their nukes to cause us fear today. They have neither the economy or the will to fight another world war without us.
They have a large but not hapless military. Don't know where you get your information but, if from anything here, remember where those sources get their info: From Ukraine government, not from embedded journalists. Don't have the economy? Find another source.
I met Lynn Cheney in DC in the pre-9-11 days as she headed up a group of women we were on, the Independent Women’s Forum. Barbara Ledeen and Barbara Olsen were the ones that dragged me down to the Press Club to talk it up and get more members. Olsen was on the plane that hit the Pentagon and we were all devastated, especially her husband Ted. Lynn was great, and during that undisclosed bunker time she got Dick to come to speak at an event we sponsored. He was funny, and I thought brave, and encouraged us back in those dark days. I got a sense of his steadiness, and experience and was reassured by him. Remember, he was the man in charge while Bush flew around on Air Force One. Liz is a disaster, and petty and vengeful. Too bad he couldn’t rein her in, and his reputation in MAGA world was damaged by his anti-Trump sentiment. But he was a neo-con beholden to the deep state and weapons makers. Those days are over since wars no longer require as many boots on the ground, but the weapons makers are still with us. And getting scarier.
Hindsight is 20-20, and in this case should be a lesson to MAGA. It should convict Cheney and Bush of selling out American jobs, American military lives, and the middle class for the globalist elite.
They knew what they were doing and lied to get their wars and globalist organizations in power at our expense. We should have listened to Pat Buchanan during those years. He was "John the Baptist" of the MAGA revolution.
Thankfully, 2016 offered a stage on which the antidote could be better heard and understood since there was some hindsight by that time to give Trump's pleas credibility.
As for Fauci being invited, he naturally rounded out the audience of liars and murderers.
The One World Order folks were very persuasive early on when Bush was president. It was a different time in America when we had an incoherent and flawed world view and state-craft. I think we have seen the light in that regard but communism is still sucking people in here. Too many spoiled entitled people today with no knowledge of history.
In first ten years of the 2000's (especially immediate post 9-11) we were blind to the global monster. Pat Buchanan saw it and didn't get much support because we were all buried in our careers, earning good money. For the most part (surviving the dot com bust and 9-11 impact, life was generally abundant and good so we didn't see the flaws or the enemy. Plus, Obama the superhero appeared for 8 years to 'fundamentally change America". White guilt placed him in office. We got the first DEI President.
It took awhile for the economy to rot from from inflation, personal income reductions as jobs disappeared with lower paying jobs replaced them, and the destruction of private health insurance.
However, when we saw what was happening before our eyes, we adopted a new platform to fight it. Regardless, Dick Cheney, GW Bush, the Chamber of Commerce, and the GOP sold out America.
Re the entitled people today with no knowledge of history: And too mentally lazy to educate themselves....after all, what else could those handheld computers be for other than TikTok and Instagram?
That”too mentally lazy to educate themselves” is spot on and also applies to why these same people would rather just be mad and hateful and vote for big Government, rather than get off their butts and make some sacrifices and get more eduction or more training to improve their lot in life.
The funeral was a show of respect for the office in my humble opinion. Anyone who starts a war with a country that did nothing to America (Iraq) is in the no-good column in my ledger.
A little off topic but since you mention 0bama taking out Bin Laden I will put on my tinfoil hat and state that I will go to my grave believing that the raid on his compound was a theatrical production to insure 0bama’s reelection.
Think about it - after the battle of Tora Bora we never again saw any video of Bin Laden, only audio recordings. Our “intelligence community” assured us that those audios were real, but given what we know now about that community, why should we have ever believed them? I think that we turned Bin Laden into a grease smear in some cave in Tora Bora 10 years before his supposed death in Pakistan.
And then there’s the fact that most of the team which supposedly took out Bin Laden was conveniently killed in Afghanistan just 3 months after the raid. And what ever happened to Bin Laden’s wife, who we supposedly captured during the raid?
Good piece, brother. Opinions about Dick Cheney still vary all over the place on every side. I will let G-d handle Mr. Cheney. Why pay attention to someone I didn't know after they are dead?
I find I have few words or thoughts for the late Mr. Cheney and his service, other than to observe he and his daughter’s drop their Uniparty masks to malign and obstruct Mr. Trump. I do find that I don’t mind the thought of Liz Piggy rejoining her father. Families should stick together after all.

“The collapse of the Soviet Union made NATO obsolete but the Dick Cheneys and Bill Clintons of the world kept it alive and expanding without a purpose.”
Well in all fairness a lot of shade can be thrown at George HW Bush here too; the continued implosion of communism in Russia & eastern Europe afforded him an opportunity to really rewrite the rules. Instead he doubled down on NATO/establishment groupthink which morphed into the globalist “New World Order” & we see that in action now. Don’t know what happened to him; during World War II he was a TBM Pilot. That - in & of itself - is pretty hardcore as a Torpedo Bomber pilot you’re required to calculate & get on a track to release your torpedo. There’s no evasive maneuvering whatsoever; you have to remain on that track whether AA fire or fighters are chewing the hell out of you. It’s a job so deadly it borders on having a death wish (how deadly? See the exploits of Torpedo Squadron 8 of the USS Hornet during the Battle of Midway - all save one would perish). He was head of the CIA maybe that should have been the disqualifier.
“But Cheney and Bush did nothing but watch Obama & the RINOs thwart him.”
This - IMHO - is the unforgivable part; the rank partisanship & criminal undertakings during Obama admin & neither one could muster the courage to step up to the plate? Moreover they come out & lay into Trump for some perceived infraction? This is - in large part - why I ditched the Republican Party. The inconsistency, the hypocrisy, & double standards simply grew too egregious. Obama does something & that’s ok - according to them/powers that be; Trump does the same thing & it’s an “outrage” & the media hounds are driven into apoplexy. Shrub II was a disaster. Pierre Delecto was even worse & John McCain…well…
I salute the latter’s service & I’ll leave it at that.
Liz Cheney besmirched the family name IMHO. I liked Dick Cheney at the time, but the wars he & W started were long, hard, and questionable in retrospect. Watching Trump bring peace to the world is amazing and makes Cheney look even more like a war profiteer.

Well, Michelle O, by her own testimony, pretty has claimed the Crown for “Most Miserable Wretch on Earth -Ever!”
But Cheney could def be runner-up.
Do you think MO’s “man-ish” appearance and absence of all femininity contributed to her(?) apropos Crown of “Most Miserable Wretch….?”
"Mooch" is simply miserable at having lost access to all those previous lavishly taxpayer funded vacations.
And the ironic part is, she can still afford them but no one cares about her anymore. There is no entourage of clingers. Even her chef couldn’t bear to be around her and threw himself into 4 feet of water to drown.
You sir don't know many democrats.
11/21/25: If no one has ever seen the reflection of Liz Cheney in a mirror, how were they ever able to take a photograph of her?
I wrote my comment before reading yours, but we both came up with the same word "besmirched". Liz was a nasty piece of work for sure and dragged Daddy down with her in the end.
Liz besmirched the title human.
And her dad's name, which she used to get ahead.
Thank you for a good review of Dick Cheney, Mr. Surber.
I think as a younger man in DC he tried to good and got sucked into the DC sewer life.
Too bad he produced Liz
Producing Liz could have been one of the choices in today's poll - and I would have picked it.
He only sired Liz; her mama raised her since Cheney was in the USN. A few of my Elderly Ladies who Lunch called him a "Babe," sotto voce.

I always hoped they would bury that POS in the creek where he left that woman to drown. Yeah, I’m vindictive when it comes to people like Kennedy.
Very morally corrupt family including JFK. Newsmax had a telling documentary about his sordid sex life.
And who was all for the cutoff? A freshman Dem senator from Delaware named Joe Biden. (He voted not to build the Alaska pipeline, too.)
I got to vegetate through the cold war.
Thank you for your service.
My pleasure, JR. I pray each member of your family, nuclear and extended, returned safely.
Agony.
In Cheney's case his kid had nothing but horrendous damage to the nation to do.
Thankfully Wyoming wised up.
I take no exception to your narrative, Joe. They live under immunity created for themselves by themselves.
You are correct.
"I'm not some Senator's son, I'm not some fortunate one!"
True of some but not all.
Dick Cheney before Cheney dicks you...
😎
Thank you for your service, sir, and may all of us live our lives worthily to honor all the brave men who gave that last, full measure.
Thank you, Sophie. And Amen to the fallen.
Well that angle probably gives them small cases of heartburn.
But IMHO what they really can't stand is the disturbance in their moneypots. 💲💲
For the RINOs, it's their first, their last, their everything.
My dream is to live long enough to spit on her coffin… and Biden’s. I don’t think you can get that close, but I’ll be watching.
And let Trump drive the truck.
Big Mike was busy again and didn't show. Nobody missed her though.
They need to do it privately, because we're all tired of hearing their crap.
Well said A.P.S.

What I read is that Trump did show up but that he wasn't invited....difference.
RIP Dick Cheney, and thank God for Donald Trump.
👍
It's a big club and Trump ain't a member.
Neither am I.
AMEN Shovel !!
Never give up your nukes
Amen - akin to US citizens not ever giving up their guns.
Another reason not to let Donks govern anything.
Especially on a hand shake from a Diplomat.
Well....the diplomat in Ukraine had a handshake with Cookies Nuland concerning the color revolution which was created by the US....
Always hold up your dukes...
The nukes didn't belong to Ukraine. They belonged to the USSR and were returned to the USSR with the dissolution of it...
Good point.

Big diff between who was President in 1994 and now.
Congress is still as craven and feckless as ever.
No...actually, I think that they are worse....Been watching this decline there for over 30 years....

Wi' choo 10000%. No limitations.
As I age I'm starting look more and more like some boots I still have from the Vietnam era. Sucks to get old.
Yrah...but you got soul or sole...
Tried to put an old pair of mine on a while back. They are tanker boots with straps instead of laces. Terribly uncomfortably now but then they weren’t that great back in the day either😄 But they were easy to get on and off.
Great observation - maybe they were separated at birth
Separated with a crowbar.
I thought that was how you separate men from boys in Greece!
No, that's how you separate the men from the boys in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Gaza.
Strange, mais pas dommage.
Agree.
On the positive side, their weapons are getting scarier to our enemies too.
I guess that you don't follow the action in Ukraine very closely from a reliable source...our weapons are not that scary....Russia's are.
Great comment.
On the murder scale, Fauci makes Dick look like an amateur.
They are both heroes of Bill Gates.
The One World Order folks were very persuasive early on when Bush was president. It was a different time in America when we had an incoherent and flawed world view and state-craft. I think we have seen the light in that regard but communism is still sucking people in here. Too many spoiled entitled people today with no knowledge of history.
Yes, you are right.

MTG hasn’t realized it is coalitions that get things done, not incessant yapping by one person.
OK, I’ll remove my tinfoil hat now.
She will - eventually.

RAV news this morning is warning that the Bushes may be plotting a comeback in 2028.
