“Buried in the story is the fact that the separation of the family was last year on Biden’s watch.”

Which is prima facie evidence that the MSM organs are merely propaganda mills for the Marxist/Democrat/Hate America Party and cannot be trusted.

I have come to believe the party of 'mental illness' seeks any information source that validates their obtuse thinking and reasoning to justify their positions so they can rest in their delusions.

Someday they may wake up and realize they've been trapped in a nightmare of Biblical proportions, at least I hope so.

Wouldn’t bank on them “waking up”; they’re so steeped in their progressive fantasies which are reinforced daily in the enemedia they can’t see the forest for the trees.

Did you see Schumer highlighting Trumps approval rating (fake news) of about 50% and a reporter reminded him that his approval rating is 17%! LOL.

Jeremy R's avatar

No, they really poll the other people in the office and find out where they stand on every issue. What? They work from home? Alone? Maybe they asked the cat. Not Don's cat. Maybe they consult their chia plant or pet rock.

Seriously, there are democrats that misinformed they still believe MS-13NBC.

The mainstream outlets declared in mid-April the Dow was headed for its worst slump since the Great Depression. Turns out it was down 3%. And ticking up on May 1. On April 7, my portfolio was down 13% ytd. Today it’s down less than 1%. Not much compared to Pelosi, but quite reassuring. Happy days are here again.

Some things the MSM failed to include while ridiculing Canada becoming the 51st state. Following the 2024 presidential election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau traveled to Mar-a-Lago and said if President Trump was to make the Canadian government face reciprocal tariffs, open the USMCA trade agreements to force reciprocity, and/or balance economic relations on non-tariff issues, then Canada would collapse upon itself economically and cease to exist. In essence, in addition to the NATO defense shortfall, Canada cannot survive as a free and independent north American nation, without receiving all the one-way benefits from the U.S. economy. To wit, President Trump then said, if Canada cannot survive in a balanced rules environment, including putting together their own military and defenses and meeting their NATO obligations, then Canada should become the 51st U.S state.

That could very well be the case. I signed up for only one month. My reason was that years ago moderates like me (whom Trump & Co. calls "radical leftist lunatics") lazily handed control of social media to actual radicals, among whom lunatics abound. And now lunacy has poisonously grown to the near-lethal point of installing an unAmerican authoritarian in the White House. This could, if not caught in time — and we're damn close — spell the end of the United States as anything but a rogue, neofascistic state along the miserable lines of Hungary or Russia. I love my country dearly and it breaks my heart to see it tortured by an ignorant demagogue who manged to fool so many weak, vulnerable, ill-informed minds. Moderates, centrists, center-lefties and authentic conservatives (I tend to side with the Burkean school of traditional conservatism) had better speak up now, wherever they can, wherever they *still* can without being jailed, I should say, or this country, my country, won't be around to rescue.

"Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations saved the girls, ages 16 and 18, Saturday from captivity at a hotel in West Covina, California, where Christopher Ramirez was allegedly “pimping” the young sisters out, sources told The Post."

Kristi Noem:

Instead of appearing in SWAT gear with a firearm looking like Charlie's Angels, she should have press conferences every so often accompanied by the rescued children to showcase their stories of life as an unaccompanied minor, attempted child trafficking, and their rescue by Homeland Security so they can re-join their family. In other words, a FULL Donald Trump presser that will drown out the blathering lame-stream lies. Showcase the fact that this was intentionally caused by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris (who is strangely re-surfacing)

I get that some think the Noem tough-girl look is attractive, but I think Trump must aggressively fight the battle of perception wrongly constructed by the legacy media. Kristi Noem, as a woman committed to re-building families by rescuing the sex-trafficked kids, is a dead ringer of a story. Leave the guns and shooting to the boys and get these kids' faces on camera with their story of our government re-joining them with their families.

Donald Trump doesn't need any more 'tough guy' images (Tom Homan does that very well) but he sure can use all the 'warm and fuzzy' he can muster. Noem can deliver that contrast to immigration reform in her role - - - if she plays it well.

TeaPartyGal's avatar

That would be an excellent move--for Trump and Noem to hold press conferences publicizing the children being reunited with their families. One snag--if the children have been trafficked (repeatedly raped), their identity needs to be protected, so being identified at a press conference may be problematic.

GMTA--I also had copied and was going to comment on the same quote your comment began with, about the 16 and 18 year-old sisters who were being "pimped out" in West Covina, California. There have been endless stories about these kids; today my anger is at the "johns" who are raping these young people. It is time to aggressively start prosecuting these johns. What a poisonous activity they are engaged in--moral destruction of themselves and those children. A huge stain on our national moral fabric.

Lastly, in a recent news story about leakers divulging where ICE raids were going to occur, Noem made the very excellent point that these leaks made the operation of apprehending these illegals much more dangerous for the ICE employees who are trying to execute the arrest orders. Instead of having surprise on their side, ICE employees end up facing armed and expectant fugitives.

This is an example of why it is valuable for Noem to go on some of these raids (and yes, necessarily be in uniform so in the confusion her ID as law enforcement is clear). Noem has gained a visceral, first-hand realization of the dangers her agents face and she is using that to speak up against the liberal press that is trying to "protect" illegals from ICE. Noem being present at raids is not just a gimmick--it is a serious manager standing with her employees and looking out for them.

Shrugged's avatar

"It is time to aggressively start prosecuting these johns."

Absolutely Yes!

Exposing the (global?) network of pimps would steal the thunder from the lying press and brand Trump's platform as moral. Additionally, I suspect much of this trafficking network goes through Hollywood, big tech, and our U.S. government.

We are all frustrated waiting on the Epstein players to be exposed. Coupled with the exposure of the immigration child trafficking network assumed here, it would shock the world as well it should.

TeaPartyGal's avatar

No mention here (yet) about the latest news on the "Maryland Dad" that Jessie Watters/Fox News dug up yesterday:

In 2022, Tennessee Police stopped our "Maryland Dad" in an suv with 8 passengers, no luggage, and $1400 cash in his pocket...the suv didn't belong to him, either (he said it was his boss's...). The cops knew he was trafficking these people (it wasn't evident that any of the passengers could speak English).

TN Police called Biden's ICE, who weren't interested in picking him up, so they had to let him go. This story just keeps getting more damning of the Dems'/media propaganda every day.

I also read that one of these judges in Bakersfield , Clownifornia who has issued a restraining order against Trump deporting these leaches may have a conflict of interest. Seems the family business is real estate rentals and guess what the husband does?

On Deportation

The Trump administration is doing a far better job than I thought it would be able to do when it comes to deporting illegal aliens. They are tracking down the worst criminals with a zeal and success rate just this side of miraculous, while convincing many other illegals to use Biden’s reprogrammed app and self deport while they still have a chance. Genius!

Now all we need is for SCOTUS to locate 7 more pair of balls. They should pay attention to Alioto and Thomas.

Jeremy R's avatar

The only problem I see is that most of them come back faster than the cat in the Flintstones cartoon. There needs to be punishment beyond just being sent back, gulag level work details turning boulders into gravel for several months.

Maybe instead of El Salvador we get Zelenski to take them. His army could use a little help and the gang bangers know how to shoot.

Jefferson warned us that the government that gives us everything is the government that will take it all away.

One of the biggest problems with the birthright citizenship issue is that this new generation, born of illegal immigrants who thumb their noses at our laws, are children being born with cradle to grave dependency on the government.

Dependency is the end game and it’s all in the plaintiffs’ affidavits in Doe v. Trump (2025): https://open.substack.com/pub/lizlasorte/p/doe-v-trump-birthright-citizenship?r=76q58&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

Shrugged's avatar

"Dependency is the end game . . "

Yes, we have somehow created an environment of institutional laziness coupled with a heavy dose of undeserved reward like "spoiled rotten kid" syndrome.

The birthright citizenship lie must be stopped once and for all but I have concerns with our Supreme Court. It is the perfect place for Roberts, Barrett, and even Kavanaugh to let us down yet again.

Liz LaSorte's avatar

It should be a slam dunk, but some people think Roberts is compromised b/c he's on the Epstein list. Who knows? And after Texas v. PA, et. al, got no standing in 2020 from the majority, and only Alito and Thomas dissented, it felt like it's all over.

I'd love to see us amend the Constitution and delete Article III b/c the court will always be corrupt since human nature is self-serving, but I'm a dreamer and know that's not going to happen...

Shrugged's avatar

Something's up with Roberts but we can only guess, and the root cause doesn't really matter at this point. Roberts has proven he is no conservative and hangs out with the most left of the leftist judges in his free time. That is very concerning to anyone who has witnessed the radical CCP/deep state overthrow of our Constitution. Roberts is on the wrong side of liberty. He also seems to be 'grooming' Coney-Barrett to his dastardly points-of-view.

Brian LeMay's avatar

Your direction is solid Liz , if we don't amend the Constitution our problems will never cease . The seventeenth amendment also needs to be repealed and several others given serious consideration . Having a majority in both the House and the Senate is not enough , the processes must be fixed to end the abuse , grift , and corruption .

Robert Kennedy Jr has announced that vaccines will have to pass controlled trials before being approved. I am shocked to find that this has not been the case. It once was. Here is some history on the polio vaccine:

“The polio vaccine field trials of 1954, sponsored by the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (March of Dimes), are among the largest and most publicised clinical trials ever undertaken. Across the United States, 623 972 schoolchildren were injected with vaccine or placebo, and more than a million others participated as “observed” controls. The results, announced in 1955, showed good statistical evidence that Jonas Salk’s killed virus preparation was 80-90% effective in preventing paralytic poliomyelitis.1”

Cookie McCall's avatar

I remember the polio epidemic very well. My hometown seems to have been ground zero for cases of childhood polio. They closed the movie theaters, and swimming pools and we had trucks during the night that came through our neighborhoods spraying for mosquitos. I was only a young child, but I remember that event. The first polio vaccine I received was on a sugar cube

Well, I didn't go with the majority choice on the survey, as usual. I was thinking they wouldn't send children to be signed up as Democrats, that's stupid. Okay, so my base premise was totally wrong. "Stupid is as stupid does", said Forrest Gump, and so it is. Also, the liberal media who can't play the race card or the "there not illegals" card, can play the 'broken heart', 'crying family' card really, really well, so they do. What is missing in all of the liberal rhetoric is "Everything started with someone doing something that is 'illegal'". They came into this country 'illegally' - period. There are ways to apply to enter the country, but those are bypassed, because, once they get here 'illegally', it has been a free pass to free stuff in the best country in the world. As Jim Rohn, the internet philosopher said (yes, I love good quotes), "No one ever said, 'If I could just escape to Cuba'". It is no fun to be on the receiving end of a deportation order- police, mug shots, handcuffs, etc. cannot make for a 'good day'. Flying on a plane or riding on a bus with armed guards back to the 'hell hole' you left must feel like the end of days. I get it. BUT when you do what so many have done, come here illegally - you put a bullseye on your back for "Let's get this person back out of this country."

300,000 missing children, and we have found 5,000. Who in their right mind thinks that is a good thing? Find the 295,000 children, get them back to their families, or somewhere safe to start with, and I really can't defend what I think should be done to the people who enslaved them, and the people behind those people, and if that isn't high enough, the people behind those people. Get the army involved, REfund the police, OVERfund the police, whatever it takes. 350 million Americans, with say 95% being good people, or 332.5 million Americans, are more than enough to overwhelm how many ever bad characters there are anywhere within our borders. Give the American people a plan and watch what happens. Every community, every village, every town, every city, every county, every state wants to help. Please President Trump, give us the plan and let us help.

Lawsy0's avatar

Oops. I completely forgot to vote in the poll. I had a tough choice of where to send children of illegal aliens; to Harvard or to voter registration. I'd have added, "Vote early and often."

Remembering the Elián González affair, and how the Dubya got elected and the Spotted Owl Gore got defeated.
