Abbott's buses won the battle

Send the FBI to protect the borders.

Washington refused to fully fund construction of a wall along the Mexican border as Congress obeyed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — whom Republicans bow to — and the galaxy of gangs, drug cartels, pedos, Chinese spies, terrorists and Methodists who back Democrats. There are some overlaps. My point is, Democrats cannot destroy the nation without help.

There seemed to be no stopping the onslaught. What to do? What to do? What to do?

Well, they were messing with Texas and as Texans say, don’t mess with Texas.

Its governor’s press office said in June, “In April 2022, Governor Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to charter buses to transport migrants from Texas to Washington, D.C. The Governor added New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia as additional drop-off locations last year and most recently added Denver as a busing destination last month. Since beginning the migrant busing strategy last spring, more than 21,600 migrants have been transported to these self-declared sanctuary cities while providing much-needed relief to Texas’ overwhelmed border communities.”

Battles are usually fought with horses, tanks or aeroplanes. Greg Abbott used buses. As of June, he shipped 500 busloads of illegal aliens to sanctuary cities. The shipments continue.

You want ’em, you got ’em.

It turns out, sanctuary cities don’t want them.

National Review reported, “The Democrat mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old right-to-shelter law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive.

“Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents.

“Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.”

I remember when Gimme Shelter was a song by the Rolling Stones and a demand. By the way, what’s with NR calling illegal aliens “migrant families” as if MS-13 is a mom-and-pop business?

Greg Abbott did not send those illegals but he has sent illegal elsewhere. The left’s resentment is so livid that it is comical. It’s as if his name were Trump.

Three weeks ago, USA Today reported, “Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass criticized Texas Gov. Greg Abbott late Monday for busing migrants to the city as Tropical Storm Hilary drenched Southern California.

“The bus departed from Brownsville, Texas, on Sunday as Los Angeles officials warned residents to brace for the dangerous and unprecedented storm, Bass said in a statement. The bus arrived Monday evening at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles carrying 37 migrants — including 16 families with 14 children and an infant — according to immigrant rights group, the L.A. Welcomes Collective.”

Mayor Bass said, “It is evil to endanger the lives of vulnerable migrants by sending a bus with families and toddlers on board to a city that at the time was under an unprecedented tropical storm warning.

“As I stood with state and local leaders warning Angelenos to stay safe and brace themselves for the worst of the coming storm, the Governor of Texas sent families and toddlers straight for us on a path through extreme weather conditions.”

When Hurricane Hilary hit LA, the storm turned out to be like Hillary: a big bag of wind that did nothing after a big buildup by the media.

Mayor Bass and her Angelenos never protested the coyotes who have dumped millions of illegals on California because illegal aliens maintain the state’s population as the middle class flees for — wait for it — Texas.

The coyotes who ferry illegals to our border charge in cash and well, a word that sort of rhymes.

Amnesty International reported, “An estimated 6 out of 10 migrant women and girls experience sexual violence, allegedly prompting some people smugglers to demand that women receive contraceptive injections ahead of the journey, to avoid them falling pregnant as a result of rape.”

Many people also die in transit. Bass said, “It is evil to endanger the lives of vulnerable migrants by sending a bus” but she is OK with raping them when they journey to the USA. If as liberals claim silence is compliance, then Bass, the Chamber, the media, and most of our federal politicians support raping women.

But we already know they are hypocrites. Abbott’s goal was not exposing that. His goal was changing the policies. He is achieving that goal.

Two years ago when seeking the office, New York Mayor Eric Adams promised to maintain his city’s status as a sanctuary city. As Abbott dumps illegal aliens — and the nice ones, not the gang-bangers — Adams is crying no mas.

Never mind that the city now allows illegal aliens to vote in city elections. Never mind that the state gives them driver’s licenses. The city cannot afford to house the illegal aliens because they are draining the city’s budget.

But the open borders people assured me that illegals boosted the economy.

NYT reported, “In a sharp escalation over the migrant crisis, Mayor Eric Adams claimed in stark terms that New York City was being destroyed by an influx of 110,000 asylum seekers from the southern border and said that he did not see a way to fix the issue.”

Mayor Adams said, “Let me tell you something New Yorkers, never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to — I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City.”

Barely 1% of the city’s population is illegal aliens.

6% of Texas is.

Adams is shipping illegals to Canada. The socialists there don’t want them. He also is going Full Zelensky on this as he DEMANDS a federal bailout.

I agree that the feds should do something about all these illegal aliens. Biden should send in the FBI. There are 35,000 or so agents and support staff who are supposed to stop terrorists, international crime organizations and drug dealers. I just described the vagabonds invading our country.

The United States Border Patrol could use some help. Sending half the FBI to the borders (both Mexican and Canadian) would double the personnel.

To be certain, this would understaff the bureau’s efforts to prosecute Trump and his supporters but that is just a bonus. With luck, thousands of agents will either quit or retire. This will be a good thing as long as we don’t replace them. The smaller the government, the freer we are.

But the hero in all this is Governor Abbott. Yes, Ron DeSantis sent illegals to Martha’s Vineyard. That was in the papers. That made the vineyard villagers look foolish. What Abbott did changed public opinion.

The New York Post reported, “Even in blue-leaning New York, a significant number of residents want the US government to construct a wall along the entire southern border with Mexico to curb illegal immigration, a new survey revealed.

“The Siena College Poll released Tuesday found that roughly 4 in 10 New York State respondents — 41% — support the border wall championed by former Republican President Donald Trump and abandoned by his successor, Democrat President Biden.”

Abbott won because his point was not to show politicians in sanctuary cities are hypocrites, but to show urbanites the reality of open borders. I salute him.
