I voted Rubio too. Day-one he was off to Panama and has quietly jetted the world to deliver pointed messages where needed. Close second is Homan. Not listed, and not very visible but very busy is Bessent, who is carrying our debt, the weight of the world, on his shoulders without flinching.
03/17/25: The amazing thing is, they have all excelled. My instincts sometimes rebel and scream, "This CAN'T be people in WDC, it's imposssible!" But it is.
I often wonder what kind of conversation Rubio had with Trump to get past the insult Trump made to Rubio's father. The way Rubio is standing strong for Trump's policies, without exception, proves the hatchet has been buried. That's good for the country and good for us.
That shows that adults can overcome personal feelings and act thoughtfully and logically. We live in a serious world. The commiecrats act like they are in fairy tale land.
The younger version of Rubio definitely had a streak of self-ambition. But I think his years in the Senate, experiencing discouragement, dismay, and discovery of the extreme danger the Left represents to America, stripped most of that away from him.
What we may be seeing now in Rubio is a seasoned warrior, determined to get results, and throwing his prodigious talents into fighting hard for America. Yay!
I still believe that l that Rubio is very ambitious in achieving as much as he can as a good consummate Conservative politician. He has achieved yet another goal after being voted as a Congressman, then Senator and now Secretary of State. Our Tea Party (way back when) met Marko here In Jacksonville, Florida, when he was running for Congress. He was on the campaign trail, so he spoke well from a prepared speech etc. Very believable, but I was not 100% convinced of his sincerity. He took questions from the large assembly of interested citizens and chose to listen to one woman who asked him "Mr. Rubio, how can we trust that you will not be corrupted by the political establishment in Washington?" That question stuck with me because I had the same thought. He replied, (and I will have to paraphrase)'that with the grace of God and my family I will do my best to follow my beliefs in the Constitution in making America the best etc.' I hope that he has changed to become less ambitious and be a most trustworthy politician. I do not know why I am not 100% convinced that it so. I pray that his promise to God, family and country has true meaning, sincerity, and honesty.
He who gets the most press runs for president. SOS tends to be that person, and he’s building his portfolio for ‘28. There’s a competition brewing between him and JD, if you’re paying attention.
03/17/25: Rubio has been a major, unexpected positive surprise. If he had been this coherent in 2016, he would have done a lot better as a presidential candidate. But back then, the Blob Mob has his ear. No more.
Don Surber: "This time, it is different. Trump adjusted and made sure he would not be Penced in." BRAVO!
I think he was still pretty young in 2016. He’s calmed down and focused considerably. And - I think reality has made a big impression on several others as well. There is no mistaking the current state of play for an academic exercise. No more time for theoretical dickering over notions.
The faces of this administration seem to have found that they have principles to defend. And a great many of their peer age group (and younger) in the radical left have never faced people who are very smart, very accomplished and very principled. It’s a powerful package and they do not have much to answer with. They aren't smart and haven't bothered to become educated. They haven't bothered with that since Obama, maybe. Rubio is smart and educated and accomplished and principled. And he’s matured.
03/18/25: You nailed it, and it was my privilege to read it. Thank you. Yes. The left has grown old (Schumer) and flabby (Pelosi) and senile (before their time: AOC). They've been steamrolled (USAID! I especially liked the way Radio Free Propaganda got nuked, with that Wastrel/Legacy Media Corporate Shill Steve Capus suddenly a nobody after decades of riding limos). And I am looking forward to seeing much more of this in 2025. Be well.
My vote’s a first furlong tie between Homan, Rubio and Vance.
So many gems today- my favorite: All things considered, NPR should be next.

Ever since Pope Francis did not make any outcry against the beheading the hundreds of Coptic Christians and other atrocities against Catholics and Christians in general in foreign countries and America as well, I have lost ALL total respect for this Socialist. My kind of man just like Superman Trump...yeah!!! Hillbilly Vance is a great up and coming anything, I"m thinking president 2028? I am so proud of the Middletown, Ohio JD. Loved the book, by the way (not the movie). We Ohioans are tough, keep that in mind!
My schadenfreude runneth over! Watching 47 dismantling what the evil party thought was going to be a “thousand year reich” where their insane policies and banana republic justice system was to rule forever.
BTW: All of the anger at Shumer is theater for the Dem lemmings. Dem Pols know that would be worse off if they didn't get the CR and the Trump team would be free to continue cutting with even more freedom. Being a non essential employee would be extremely troubling with DOGE in the house running free. The only Sens who voted for the CR were the ones either retiring or not up for reelection in the 26 midterms. It was a safe vote for them and it avoided DOGE techs off their leashes.
Who pays attention to Granny Boxwine anymore? She’s been unseated from her “speakership”, can’t rip up any more of Trump’s speeches on camera, is yesterday’s news, & has one leg on the embalming table. She should concentrate on making peace with her Maker since eternity’s a long, long, time.
Murray & Delauro could make a ton of $$ as living, breathing ads for birth control.
“Trump gives those who bedeviled him no rest.” - nor should he! They started this usurpation/snidery so pay it back on them tenfold. If there are no repercussions for such behavior then one can only expect to get more of it. That’s probably what I love most about DJT, his smash mouth-style of politics & willingness to take no prisoners.
Rosa DeLauro looks like Shemp Howard in drag. Patty Murray reminds me of the irritating middle school teacher whom the pupils make fun of, and Jasmine Crockett would seem like a good date until she opens her mouth.
Catching clips of Trump officials who appear on the legacy media Sunday news shows has become one of the most refreshing, invigorating and satisfying experiences these days, as they lay waste to the pompous, arrogant imbeciles who populate those programs. It’s kind of like a whole new sport, though heavily weighted in favor of Trump 2.0 warriors!
Also, the videos of Trump and Little X have smashed the Cuteness meter to bits! Adorable! ♥️
Dems want to draw and quarter Schumer for doing the only thing he could, stop a shutdown. He took the only real option his party had, and they know it. But in Dem looney land they are mad because in their distorted brains, they own what happens in these fights. It isn’t a real negotiated process to them. Nope, they own all decisions. I guess that was once true to an extent but no more. And now that the kids in their caucus didn’t get chosen for a team, they are going to throw a tantrum and turn on their leader. It’s Schumer's turn I guess. Just shows you they are more about maintaining power and control than seeing reality and understanding what people voted for last November. Enjoy the wilderness, Dems. You earned it.
Taking on the illegal use of an autopen. The Trumpster never sleeps. We all wake up wondering what shiny thing he did today to put the MSM and Dems undies in a wad, but I repeat myself. Probably the smartest thing the Dems could do now is to join the Trumpsters efforts and then take credit for the results with the assistance of the MSM. However, the rabid left won't let them. Seems they are trying to band the Republican party as the party of billionaires out to get the normies in middle America. They just can't give up the lying. It ain't working for them......
Democrats have more billionaires than Republicans. Bezos, Gates, Soros, Zuckerberg. Some may be playing nice but I'd be willing bet they still vote Democrat.
I looked for a place where I could pick all of choices. There wasn’t a spot. So I’m writing them all in. Including little X. Fixing the government… They wanted us to think it impossible. All we needed was a new President. One that used his own pen. It was as easy as kicking out the criminals. I love this. It is the season of sweeping away the chaff.
Lil X was my choice in the poll because I guessed he's done close to 90% of his work for this administration. None of the others are even half way there yet.
I also picked Lil X, because he is bringing balance and perspective to two very important men who are embroiled in saving our country and are being threatened continually. Lil X brings light to Donald Trump's and Elon Musk's day.
And also, because everyone else is doing so well, it seems mean to put one over another. Some get the spotlight, but each is dedicated and brave. Sean Duffy at Dept. of Transportation came to mind-- so refreshing after Buttigieg.
To see the dem party split up like high school sweethearts is a treat to behold, especially when that split is Pelosi v Schumer, the bookends of his '45' term. There aren't two more evil people in politics.
Speaking of splits, I have growing concern about a split within Trump 2024 voters, particularly the moderates and independents from the true MAGA faction. I saw the first article on CFP (from Fox News) last week stating such a trend, caused by the turmoil of Trump's policies with tariffs and abrupt firings of thousands of government employees amid an uncertain economy possibly facing recession. I agree with and support all of those decisions, but I hope Trump is investing a huge amount of brain matter to manage the impact of these actions in time for the 2026 mid-terms. We must win the midterms - even increase strength in House and Senate - to really nail the deep state. I long to see justice served on a silver platter to the J6 committee and the criminals in the FBI who dished out corruption under Jim Comey. Hell, I'm still hoping the Clintons get some jail time, and Nancy Pelosi is exposed for her J6 orchestration. I want to see Ray Epps testify on the witness stand after Patel exposes why he was at the capitol on J6.
Trump is pirouetting in a delicate ballet. We know if he pissed off Nancy Pelosi he's doing the right thing, but the commitment of moderates, independents, and libertarians need to be preserved along the way. Having some eye-opening corruption exposed and prosecuted ASAP would really help with this. Trump needs to make it embarrassing for one to admit to being a Democrat.
Even while being hounded to near death by his enemies, Trump spent his four years between administrations planning this new American Revolution down to the last detail, with some of the truly brightest and fiercest warriors for America First in existence. This first year, and the second in lead up to the midterms is meticulously designed to create circumstances via policies and projects that will dramatically change the lives, hopes and fortunes of ALL Americans, who will run to the polls for him to enable him to provide even more. This first two years people want their lives to change for the better, much moreso than to watch Dems frogmarched into jail, though there will be some who will. That is a critical point to remember.
The second half of his four year term will be when he brings the veritable house down on the enemies of this country.
Those prosecutions and trials are coming - have no doubt. But they are coming at a very well calculated and orchestrated time.
In the meantime, Keep the faith and pray for him and his administration!
"The second half of his four year term will be when he brings the veritable house down on the enemies of this country."
I agree with your assessment of Trump's achievements so far. My point is if Trump loses the marginal moderate/independent/libertarian voters with a bull-in-the-China shop approach (some of which we have seen), we may not have 'the second half of his four year term' because he will be impeached and greatly burdened. I'm all-in with your suggestions, but we have to get past the first major hurdle - the mid-terms.
The data is emerging that supports my concern. Plus, we have Gavin Newsome presenting himself as a born-again moderate on his new podcast despite his radical leftist history. By 2026, this game will be radically different - and a big challenge for Trump - if he/we don't manage it from the start.
Being a change agent in business is a suicide mission. I know from experience. A real change agent is a hero one day for making all the changes requested but is hated by all for the changes they now have to face. Most change agents are shown the door soon after their 'successful change' is complete. How a large number react to the after-effects of these changes in government will depend a lot on how they are handled. JD Vance gets to inherit the company when Trump exits in four years, which will be a good thing if all the changes are, in fact, implemented.
Much of thickness down to CLEAN FAIR ELECTIONS. If Trump and his crew can stop the money spigot (via shutting down USAID, etc.), the Dems don't have a chance in the midterms - or in any election in the near future.
Clean up the money, clean up the voter roles, have Tom Homan's team monitor the elections, and I'd wager Dems don't get 33% of the votes - even in places like California (fires and feeces in the streets, anyone?).
I turned mine off a few years ago. I'd rather be wrong because of my bad typing instead of word replacement therapy from autocorrect.
A typo is excusable, and there IS an edit button on these comments if you check out the options by clicking the three dots . . . upper right of each comment. On the phone app version, the three dots may be at the bottom.
That is why Trump’s focus on these first two years is on the economy. He knows how fickle the electorate is, and if we’re to have any hope of winning the midterms it’s going to be because people’s lives have markedly improved, and the future looks bright.
The majority of People vote their pocketbooks and wallets. While MAGA rightfully want to see criminals frogmarched, that’s not necessarily going to win over the majorities needed to keep the House and Senate in two years. It could backfire bigly.
To every thing there is season, and a time for everything under the sun.
Securing our borders, bringing down inflation, and re-energizing the economy is Job One. Hold and secure the land we’ve conquered before we go for the kill. Both may happen incrementally as we proceed, but that’s the underlying principle guiding him for now.
"Securing our borders, bringing down inflation, and re-energizing the economy is Job One."
Securing the border: The CR is providing Tom Homan $485 million for border security. That's a win.
Bringing down inflation: Eggs and gasoline prices are down. More good.
Re-energizing the economy: Tariffs have taken a large chunk of equity out of the market. While many believe tariffs are a good tool to balance trade, the economy and a looming recession (which I believe wall street will manufacture just as Fauci manufactured a COVID virus) could erase all of the above achievements.
I agree with all that you are saying, and I am mature enough to understand undertakings this radical are not without risk.
How it is all rolled out is "The Art of the Deal". We can't lose our fringe that put us over the top.
The benefits of tariffs take time to materialize, that’s why he’s implementing them so fast and furiously. Of course they are being met with a furor by those who’ve benefited from our excessive largesse for decades, but long-term they benefit both sides with regard to fairness, and our economy most especially. But they, like almost every other endeavor Trump is implementing require patience and support from his base. He’s getting it from all sides and we need to surround him with at the very least, our unwavering support through patience and faith in what is the most revolutionary transformation and restoration of the Republic since 1776.
Shrugged, you say "The data is emerging that supports my concern." It is most likely that the Left Media, which is fighting for its life, is creating and massaging the data precisely to make you feel like that, and to 'reassure' the Left. Their "data" is more accurately described as "hopeful prophecy to be promoted".
But you are right that the fight is not over for independents, moderates, etc. That is why we all must help Trump as much as possible in STAYING ENGAGED with and talking to the liberals we know. America will not be safe until another big chunk of Democratic voters are red-pilled, and overall Democratic support is down to 15% or less.
Red-pilling liberals and exposing the corruption of the Left media til they lack credibility even with liberals, simply HAS to happen.
OK, polls have error, some intentionally so. My point is (and doesn't seem to be understood here) is that all of MAGA loves everything Trump is doing but the fringe voters are the ones who put him in the Whitehouse. We can't afford to lose the NON-MAGA fringe. Most of them voted for him reluctantly and will look for an alternative if one can be found.
Now, Gavin Newsome enters the stage. I believe he will be the front-runner savior of the Democrat party. He's young, handsome, articulate, and has a lot of money-muscle behind him. He is a distant in-law relation to Nancy Pelosi who will have a lot of time on her hands to help the party. Newsome has launched a new podcast copying the MAGA secret to winning 2024. His earliest guests were Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon, not leftwing nutjobs. Newsome is changing his brand for a reason. As a side, it is almost impossible to change a brand in marketing - ie Bud Light - but that is what he is doing.
Newsome is becoming a beautiful moderate, speaking all the MAGA talk in a nice way as he learns from his MAGA guests to take the moderates, independents, libertarians who only reluctantly voted for Trump. He isn't trying to convince a single MAGA voter to like him. He doesn't need them. He needs the fringe. Add that to the Dems who voted for Kamala and we have a problem, possibly as early as 2026, depending on whether this Dem podcast can survive. Most haven't, but they really haven't tried very hard, and the ones who did were buffoons.
We don't need to convince any MAGA of Trump's actions. We need to convince - and re-convince - the moderate fringe that put him over the top.
And one part of making his voters happy is exposing the fraudulent use of our income taxes by the dems, then shuttering the IRS when tariffs kick in. By 2028 we’ll be receiving sovereignty checks, and the democrats will slip down into the sewer of iniquity, like so much passing rain.
Trump-land will never have disunity. My concern is the fringe - those who made the biggest difference in delivering the swing states and the popular vote - who are NOT in Trump-land.
Trump's support in 2024 was delivered by a constituency of many varied layers of voters from different values and beliefs. They didn't all wear MAGA hats, let alone, own one.
QUOTE: "All things considered, NPR should be next."
That's a prize winner -- even though it revives disturbing echoes from pre-Trump-history when, though rarely and unintentionally, I happened to catch NPR's soothing, we-know-everything-so-much-better sound on my car radio.
NPR - they didn't and they don't. I hated NPR from the first time I heard their, smug "oh so superior" tone when I was in Jr College. My brother in law has the right term for them - marble headed jackasses.
One of my cars does not have satellite radio so I torture myself listening to NPR on occasion. Last time I was listening it occurred to me 95% of their programming is based on some form of racism. The conversation might be Trump the racist, Musk the racist, Republicans in general racists. Deporting gang members, rapists and murders is racist. They might have a history "expert" on talking about Reparations. Racism in schools. Racism in the work place. Racism everywhere. We really need to stop funding this. Now.
Interesting. That makes NPR really the ultimate mouthpiece of the Frankfurt School of Marxism, that thought Marxism should be promoted by focusing on Race Division, not economic Class Division.
Rubio does polite cold blooded clarity really well.
Of all Trump's cabinet pick. Marco Rubio is out shining all of them.
I voted Rubio too. Day-one he was off to Panama and has quietly jetted the world to deliver pointed messages where needed. Close second is Homan. Not listed, and not very visible but very busy is Bessent, who is carrying our debt, the weight of the world, on his shoulders without flinching.
Yup, shout out to Howard Lutnick and JD also...
you've gotta add Homan to the list too - he's not messing around - he's been tasked with a mission and he intends to fulfill it

He called Rubio “little Marco” back in the day.
Appears to have made a man out of him! 👍😉
Oops!
I met Marco once. He is little. 5'8" maybe?
That shows that adults can overcome personal feelings and act thoughtfully and logically. We live in a serious world. The commiecrats act like they are in fairy tale land.
Rubio is laser-focused on his run for the Whitehouse. He's thinking long-term. He'll be back. He may run against JD in the 2028 primary . . . .

Secretary of State

Yep
I seriously underestimated Rubio, I'm glad to have discovered.

Homan tells it like it is even to the Pope.
And, the current Pope needs to be told a lot.
I'm not a Catholic but have respected almost all of the previous Popes for their spiritual leadership except for the current one. I think satan is sitting in the Vatican.
This pope is a disaster. Gave away the Catholic Church.
I am Catholic and I agree he is a disaster, a Communist disaster.
Pope's are supposed to be theologians, not Greta Thunberg's. To all of us good Catholic's this Pope is an embarrassment.
We don't call him Red Francis for nothing.
Agree
I know Satan is living in the Vatican. Along with hundreds of his minions which includes Francis himself.
" Red Francis " is aptly named . By far the worst influence on Catholicism in my lifetime .

I also picked "Lil X" because it's now working furiously for us after working for Biden and his goons.
With all this great news today, my heart soars like a hawk.
And Dems hearts drop like a rock. Good times.....
"thickness = this comes ... stupid autocorrect - augh!
Yes, if we make it to 2028.
I'm worried about 2026 and impeachment of Trump if the moderates abandon him. Some are as we sit here today.
Perhaps if tariff outcomes bounce the right way, we streak forward. If not, we have a problem. We must hang onto the moderates and fringe voters.
Love the optimism but it lacks precedence.
First of all, precedence is a result of someone doing something, often for the very first time, to create it in the first place.
Just cuz no one’s done it before doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Just ask David before he went out and slew Goliath.
Faith demands courage.
Courage demands faith.
Good DOES overcome evil.
Precedence means nothing. Real Leaders forge a new path.
👍♥️
This is the precedent !!
His whole presidency lacks precedence, which I think is the point.(see DOGE, et al)
from your lips to God's ears - May it be so!
I discount by about 99% any ‘reports’ of disunity in Trump-land.
I’m guessing that a lot of that stuff about a split is fake news and wishful thinking on the part of the left.
Speaking of Patel & the FBI, Catherine Herridge has a great piece on CFP this morning regarding the FBI pre-Patel and their DEI bs - great read!
I rate Homan and Rubio tied for first. (Love to see Little X with 47.)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Enjoyed that video. Saw them live once--wonderful!
Lucky you!
Their signature on-air tone is a patronizing pretentiousness.
That's not bad, except for marble being too hard. Silly-putty-jackasses, maybe?
